The key word there is ATTEMPT to do a good. If everyone that was employed ATTEMPTED, but didn't do a good job, then no-one would be employed. There's no excuse for out of shape refs who blatantly look the other way when someone is fouled. This thread is just the second verse of many posts that have been on here. I agree the refs stink and they will continue to stink until their held accountable. You know, the refs that Unaka had at East the other night were supposed to be better than most of the refs that we get. Guess what, they stunk it up too. Their either too fat, too lazy or just dont give a poop about making good calls. It's no skin off their nose if they make a crappy call, they take off their stripped shirts, pull their little black case to the car and go home. They could care less that perhaps one of their cross-eyed calls cost a team the game. I know, a good team should be able to over come that and in most cases they can. But there's not one person on this board that can say that you haven't played at leaset one game where the refs were biased. It's not fair to the kids that work their tails off just to let some out of shape, half-blind ref take it away. Ok I've whined enough. nite nite. P.S GOOD GAME LADY RANGERS

this post isn't about tony fox as sportiemom stated. It's about the whole team. Granted there were 1 of 2 who acted ok, but the rest..well it's been said enough. I think Knox Catholic knows how everyone feels and I was at the game, I saw Fox play and was not impressed. And you did not beat them by 20, it was twelve.. Maybe you need to take private school remedial math. From where we're from 69 minus 57= 12.

You know what , ONE of our Ranger boys have more class than your entire spoiled, snotty, superficial, egocentrical, bratty team put together. Just because these kids don't go to a private school doesn't mean that their parents don't have good jobs, nice houses or any thing else that you have. Unicoi Baseball..hehehheeheh. If I remember correctly, year before last when a certain county school in Elizabethton played the devils, the officials stopped the game and removed the totally classless student fans that were sitting on the hood of their (pick-ups) in the outfield. They were heckling our outfield and squirting them with water guns. Now thats real sportsman ship. If you can't beat them then you just bug the heck out of them. The opposing team and fans thought that was hilarious. Oh and by the way, we did win. And as for the baseball coach kicking butt, well he couldn't kick the bucket much less someones butt.

Hey Landers 22.... Chambers little brother has more class in his big toe than you're entire student body at clodland. This is a basketball thread and that comment was unnecessary. He reads coach T and I for one don't appreciate that idiotic comment. Sure he might be overweight and he can lose weight but you're ugly and that my friend goes all the way to the bone. If making fun of an 11 year old makes you feel big then go right ahead. I guess you guys from clodland have to get their kicks where then can.

They have a couple of big guys. For the most part their quick as cats and as far as the best player, well I think that might have to be chambers, or on another day it could be cline, or collins, or jones, or....do ya get my drift. They play team ball not me ball. It takes all 5 to win not just 1. As far as scoring, it's usually chambers but a couple of games ago collins lit it up. Jones has been doing well under the bucket. I think their biggest problems is that there have been open shots for the guys under the basket but the point guards don't pass the ball. But that's ok coach Ensor will remedy that.

So do I. Unaka has a well rounded team. Too bad we'll never have the pleasure of seeing that game take place.

Coach Chambers coached till the end. No screaming, no fussing, just plain old coaching. People can say what they want to about Coach Ken, but he's the best coach, boys or girls in the county.

Their going to have to step their game up if they plan on competing with cosby. Chambers is going to have to bring his "A" game and the rest of the team needs to get their heads out of their butts and play ball. Jones needs to quit playing like he's never seen the ball and collins, well I don't know what's going on with him. He doesn't look any better this year than he did last year. Unaka is better than what they've been playing. Time will tell, the only question is "are they running out of time"????
