  1. Rudesill wouldn't want to read this post...but he has to be one of Tennessee's best. The talent level can, and will, go up and down-as it does in all our public schools. But, he keeps Bolivar at, or very near, the top on a continuous basis. After all these years and his record...that should tell everyone what type of coach he is. But, you'd never know it at a game! Rarely does he even look aggravated or upset! But you KNOW he's bound to be!
  2. GO Tigers!!! Keep it up now that you're on a roll! And...I've got to say those Crusaders aren't bad either!!!
  3. Bolivar was 10 for 21 from the free throw line Howard was 27 for 39...Thats 39 free throws in a 32 minute game. This is a fact...not complaining about the Refs. Bolivar just didn't get it done. They started off a little too slow and when you combine those stats(along with some other ones that have been mentioned ealier)...that might have equaled 10 pts! If you listened/saw the game you'd know this is true. I'm not saying the Refs did it on purpose (not saying they didn't either). I've heard from up there that Refs have been inconsistent...and not just for a particular area/team. Bottom line from a true Bolivar fan...forget the refs. If Bolivar had ran that court like they have so many times this year...Howard would be at home. But we are. It is what it is! And Papatiger you can play on any court, for as many days as you want if you WIN the right to decide that next year. Bolivar won that right this year, and Rudesill coaches both girls/guys! All that talk about how you thought your great plan to "bankrupt" us by not buying concessions is whay so many people got fired up on here. And not all the Waverly fans thought it was that great of a plan. I don't know your occupation...but whatever it is...healty competition and jabbing at each other on the board for fun is what it's about. Try to get over your intense dislike for Bolivar. And one more thing...from your comments-I know you don't know all that was discussed between both coaches/administrators about that game. You just don't. At the tourney, I believe the refs/stats tell part...but not all of the story. It is true Bolivar could've brought more hard play when needed. Too slow of a start. Combine some lack of aggressivenes early on, plus the stats on this board...it's easy to see why we lost. They could play with this Howard team guys...but Howard brought it when it was needed...and the our 1st half effort, luck-whatever-killed us. I know that's one of the absolute few times you'll ever hear of Rudesill getting a T! Not his style. He RARELY(not sure of numbers-but he's never had many) gets one-it could make a person wonder why he got the one yesterday-he deserved it-but what would make him that upset? Hmmm. I'll miss our Seniors. But guys...going to the tourney is something many teams would like to do and you did it. So contrats on getting there. No crying about the refs intended here. Howard had 10 more points than Bolivar for what ever reason...so I want the team that beat us to take it all. And that's no offense to Mitchell either! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  4. Bolivar had a rough start,,,byr toward the 1st quarter,,BOLIVAR LEADS 20-18. mAT RN US OUT OF THE GYM...BUT YOU HAVEN'T DONE IT YET! But a lot of game to go, my$ still on Bolivar at the end. One of the worst things about Bolivar is that we're usually are a 2nd half team. That's when we play our best B-ball. But thay's a frustrating feeling sometimes. We'll see in around 45 min.
  5. I totally agree about the good game! But we have some pretty fine players too...nothing against Howard at all. It was a tough draw...but Bolivars games in W. TN this year may have prepared them more than people realize. Either way...it won't be long now! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  6. Who knows how it will turn out? But, we have a pretty good coach ourselves. Maybe some folks have heard of him. And our bench is deep and talented. It should be a good game...but we have some very talented players too. Ya'll have an impressive record...but we've "racked up" a few victories-against some quality teams also. If you run this team out of the gym, as you say, I'll be the first one to congratulate you. And I'll do it too...IF I have to. I just wonder if you really know the team you're playing? However, this team/coach never looks past anyone. They'll be prepared...but not cocky. GO TIGERS!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  7. Maybe I wasn't clear on that. But in hiis earlier posts he acted like our girls couldn't even stay in the gym with them! Absolutely 1 is as good as 10 and even though I regret the tech happened, I'm not disputing it in any way. Like I said...it was what it was. I think you are right that our 11AA girls show good sportsmanship. I absolutley congratulate the Creek Wood girls. Their strategy worked and they won. I guess papatiger just gets under my skin with his total dislike of both Bolivar Tiger teams. But, oh well. It is what it is.
  8. Not quite your 10 was it? Despite the T. But it was what it was. But they still won and deserve congrats. THEY even showed a little sportsmaship at the end!
  9. I don't know that much about all the other teams. But, even though it may be a tougher challenge to play Marshall Co., @ Marshall Co.---I believe if our young ladies play as a TEAM and truly work together-they will win. But at all costs, they have to avoid stupid mistake. They're just wating for us to blow it. Just my opinion. BTW-does Lewisburg have a Radio station that broadcast over the 'net???
  10. Bolivar has it easy. Yeah...right. Do you even know the teams we've had to complete against over the years? And we travelled some of that time also. We win and your saying Kessler gives us the advantage? If anything Rudesill, and our ongoing talent, are the reasons why. If I had the chance to swap w/ ya. I think our chances would be just as good. C'mon Bobcat-you don't need to whine about it. And I'm NOT saying we have it in the bag. We do have a good team though. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> But thanks for the props about our playing w/ anyone in the state. And about Reaves. That was appreciated.
  11. Papatiger...we all know you are against Bolivar b/c they had homecourt advantage. But luckily for you, you can still drive down here and buy from our concession stand on Mon. night! I'm never overconfident. We don't do that here. /excl.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":excl:" border="0" alt="excl.gif" /> But from reading you're post you do get overconfident (not directed at all Waverly fans or coaches-just you and a couple more). But I do believe that we have a very good shot to get to state, even IF the guys aren't in the driver's seat-as you say. Since you say ya'll are hosting next year...I'll go ahead and say-we'll buy from your concession stand. It's too tacky to bring in Wal-Mart sacks to a tourney. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  12. So now it's the officials fault. I guess if we win, the fix must be in...according to you. Or a school official actually telling referees what to call /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" , as if they were too stupid to call the game. Nostradamus, I'm so glad to know ahead of time how the game will turn out. Especially since your previous prognostications(that means guesses PT) were so on target.
  13. I just read this post of yours and I'm shocked at how much "intelligence" you were able to gain from one of our people in Bolivar ! Are you kidding or just not living in the real world? Why on earth would a Bolivar fan want to give you any information about what our coach thought? You are wrong. I know our coaches well and the main deal was that they wanted the girls to have their own night to shine. They were the underdogs and they deserved their own night! It would make sense for the guys to get an extra day of rest...but you are once again mistaken. And we won the right to homecourt advantage! What about this do you not get? Therefore, it's our decision whether you like it or not. Sorry, but it doesn't matter one bit what other schools decided. Just like it didn't matter what you brought in with your Wal-Mart bags! Our coaches...as yours would too...did what was to their advantage and to let the girl's have their own night. The guys have really had several great years...so many of us want the girls to have their chance to shine. If you we're in our position...you might feel the same way. As for what "one of your coaches told you"...I'd be willing to bet it wasn't your head coach. If it was truly any coach at all. No offense to most Waverly Tiger fans. But you have complained about almost every picky thing on both boards. Next year, gas will be higher, you said Waverly was hosting-so maybe you'll get your "revenge" for Bolivar making the trip.
  14. I'm just speaking about Bolivar right now...because until I started following them the last several years-I am not educated enough about the other schools former players to guess! I do know the Delk bro. were good at Jax. Northside under Coach Hill. Coach Varnardo's son was pretty darn good too. And of course Tony at Haywood. Bolivar has been very blessed to have top shelf talent almost year after year. Ashley, Petey, Brian Lake and so many more that have been mentioned previously. But our two most recent Div. I players need to have more said for them...just b/c their in the here and now. Wayne Chism will end up being a major talent. He has a real NBA shot. He is learning the ropes and speaks with confidence while being interviewed. He also has a great personality-to go along with his God given BB gifts. This will help him down the road. I've gotta say that there were people on Coach T who ragged Wayne pretty bad while he was in high school. Well, that's their right...but I wonder what they think now? Willie Kemp ran the floor like no one I've ever seen. He was in control, knew what to do and did it. I'd given anything if he'd went to UT. He and Wayne would have been one fantastic match, since they really knew each other's play. But he thought U of M was a better fit for his circumstances (and maybe it was). However, I'd like to see him on the floor more. For whatever reason...he's not even getting a fair share of playing time. If he makes 1 mistake-coach pulls him out. The only thing to help him get that college game is PLAYING TIME!!! Give it to him and Calipari might be surprised. Sorry to ramble. W. TN is blessed with talent. And that is for all schools! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  15. Of course you have a right to your opinion. Man, I was just complimenting the coach and some fans based on what I had heard. You didn't want to eat here...and I said last week that was your opinion so have at it. As for you crying or worrying...I don't know if you are or not. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Of course I'm for Bolivar...but I absolutely want someone from our region to win it all!!!
  16. Kudos to Waverly's coach, and some fans, by NOT agreeing with what a couple of Waverly fans were writing last week. Let's just say I know for a fact they weren't crazy about some of those posts. But that is now history. As for Bolivar looking past anyone...if you think that, you don't know Coach Rudesill. For the first time in a couple of years, this team is hungry again. They want it very badly and are not foolish enough to be looking past any team they play. If you think they're overlooking teams, you're fooling yourself.
  17. Are you SURE they would've "helped" us out? How can you be so certain, unless you are the one making the decision??? Yes. We are the ones playing at home...that's why it is our decision when to play. You seem like you are very familiar with athletics, so why in the world can't you get it that the team that earns homecourt is able to make those decisions. This is not the "Golden Rule" here...it's an athletic contest that both teams can use any legal advantage to win. I want a good clean game also...but each team can play it anyway they want-within the rules.
  18. From what I've heard-and I'm not trying to mislead anyone-the Waverly fans should really check their facts. It very well could be that Waverly admin/coach/someone DID ask to move the time. I'm sure you'll say they didn't...but how do you know for sure?
  19. AMEN! I agree...if Waverly had the same situation as Wayne and Willie are in Sat., I'd be the first one to say we should agree to change the time or whatever. Sour grapes by some Waverly fans...not all of them and not their administration.
  20. OK! Bring all the food and drink you can carry. I'm tired of reading about how Waverly will "punish" Bolivar by not buying popcorn. There will be enough B-Town fans to cover expenses. I mean no disrespect but this is about winning. Not $$$. Do what you have to do. And as far as the Region being in Waverly next year, I don't know about ya'll but we don't expect any favors when we travel to play. We have travelled many times and no one handed us anything. We didn't expect it. Homecourt advantage guys. EVERY sports team uses it. I don't give a rip what other schools have done...the decision was made to help the teams win and I would expect you to do no different. Papatiger...save the deal about Waverly not having a chance. You're a fan and you think your team has a chance. We're not overlooking you. Especially now. As far as Dexter at Liberty goes, he is a great coach. But he is no better than Rudesill. For whatever reason some of the Waverly fans believe he would hand you a "favor" if it were him making the decision. HA! Dexter would do what gave his team the best chance to win. No more, no less. Concession stand! Geezzee! I thought winning was the thing!!!
  21. Oh, I can think of one team that won't run from playing them.
  22. If you're plugged in as you seem to be...you know the answer by now.
  23. Yes, I feel the same way. I even talked to him about a move like that a couple of years ago, just to see what he thought...but for the present-he seems happy here. I've never seen him more pumped up than that win over Harpeth. He was so happy for the way those young kids fought back. And no disrespect to Harpeth intended at all.
  24. Well, it's no secret that they're rebuilding at BCHS. If these guys don't win another game, they've come much further than ANYONE would have though back in the fall. Bolivar is blessed with good talent, and Bolivar is blessed with a great coach.I never guess when it comes to Liberty, but IF the Tigers get hot tonight... Either way, they're in the substate. Who would've thought that would happen? Rudesill is a good coach. No doubt. And for those who think he gets TOO MUCH credit, I say to you-look at his record! By the way-he'd hate me saying any of this...and that's no bull.
