  1. Bolivar and Raleigh Egypt in the finals.
  2. Woulda, shoulda and last but not least - coulda. That's why they play the tournaments...sometimes a team doesn't move on that had a better record or beat a certain team 2 or 3 times earlier. It happens. I've seen it several times. In the case of Lake County, it doesn't diminish the great season that Whitby's bunch - unfortunately the Falcons did not win in the sectional and advance to the state tournament. It's just the nature of the tournament beast. Peabody and Middleton did win and are playing to bring back some sparkling memorablia to west TN.
  3. I heard BK! Congratulations! Keep it up!
  4. But, you were making excuses. Shane may have been sick or not felt good that night...Jordan had the flu one night in the finals against Utah and had a great game. To make excuses takes away from the effort given by both teams. Shane had a good game that night against Peabody. Don't take that away from him with excuses.
  5. Funny how a story goes. It's gone from one Greenfield player (according to the coach) having some flu conditions two days before the game to a handful of players on the team having the flu. Teams win and teams lose...making excuses doesn't change the outcome.
  6. I've seen the thread, but at the time there wasn't any info on it.
  7. The defense should get better as they haven't had a good deal of time outside yet. Congratulations to the Tornadoes on the win. The freshman going deep TWICE! Wow! Plus, Hitt with a dinger! BK way to hit boy! Lindsey was 9-0 during the summer with some very good outings. UC now 2-0. Congrats to new coach David Barker on getting his first two wins as a head coach.
  8. I heard UC beat Dyersburg 7-2 on a good outing from Bradley Gregg on Monday...but, what about Tuesday and Wednesday's games? UC vs Halls & UC vs Liberty Tech? Anyone with the scores?
  9. Ezell better do a better job of handling the ball against Middleton than they did against CAK. The Tigers' defense is so tough and quick.
  10. John Graham, Mario Ingram, Craig Lowrance & Hunter Lindsey have Union City's speed.
  11. Larry rebuilt the Union City football program and paved the way for the success UC enjoyed 1980-on.
  12. My chimes ring true...unlike your post of the Trenton radio host.
  13. The Peabody/JCS game is over a week old...let's make a move to the here and now.
  14. The person you refer to as hosting a nightly radio show is not redbirdfan. I know both very well. In fact, RC (the radio show host) does not coacht at all. Watch what you say as sometimes the words become a false reality.
  15. I've talked at length about the game and coaching with Tere...she knows her stuff. She did a great job implementing new sets and reconfiguring the offense and defense to put those young ladies in the best position to win. Congratulations Tere & the Lady Tide.
  16. A conspiracy theorist! Wow! It's a game played by teenagers!
  17. Peabody is 2A in football and 1A in basketball, baseball and softball. It's been that way for a good while now. They missed the 1A classification in football by about 5 students...but, are well within the 1A ranks in basketball, softball and baseball. BS - did you make any of the games this week at MTSU?
  18. Neither were up for the award - Jessica Bobbitt was the nominee from Peabody.
  19. If you get hot at tournament time and win the championship - you'll be remembered as the state champions! It's not who you beat in the regular season, it's who you beat in the tournaments that count.
  20. So, you would play a zone against a team of young ladies that can shoot the 3 and did with people on them all night. If OC used a zone as you proclaim they should have, it wouldn't have even gone to overtime. AE can shoot the lights out beyond the arc. A Zone is not the universal answer. If you go zone they shoot and hit the 3 and if you go man then they drive. Good teams beat good teams. You're discrediting the Lady Rebels effort during the game. They played an exceptional contest, but weren't able to pull out the win. Congratulations to OCCHS on a fine season.
  21. It looks like it's time to ..."get it started!" Haven't seen D'burg all season, look forward to it. Starting line-ups being announced now.
  22. Captain Wilcat! How's things? Yes, 13AA struggled again this year at the Boro. The OC/AE game was alot of fun to watch though. 2 OT!
