  1. Fresh oxygen should be mandatory!
  2. Please grow up. This is not Romper Room Message Board. There are enough negative feelings toward Lake County already without this.
  3. I believe a personal aircraft type airport may be just what my friend is looking for. PM me a scouting report boys. If its in the air do you still call it a "road trip"?
  4. Just curious jvaughn as to whose broadcast didn't do it justice?
  5. A touchy one if so. No disrespect to Larry for pete's sake. Follow the thread and have a clue!
  6. A legal deal that was apparently handled very sloppily. Why does the TSSAA keep winding up with egg on their face? The situation with the ineligible player at Cheatham County, the football fiasco with Gallatin. Why so much conflicting information. Take your time and get it right the first time people!
  7. I'll literally ROUND out your starting 5!
  8. The heart of the matter was apparently gotten to. All of the posting on each thread concerning this matter has focused more on the dunk and not on what the official gave him the 2nd technical for. Considering the fact that he had already fouled out of the game on the dunk, the official would have no reason to give him another technical unless it was warranted by something serious. This is what the TSSAA's investigation apparently focused on. I was not there but I do know the game has rules and officials are put in place to enforce those rules. If every move they make is going to be up for review & possibly be overruled by their supervisor, we are for sure going to be hurting for quality referees.
  9. Hey, in ghostly form Larry & Roughhouse may look alike! Leave the Little General alone!
  10. Actually the process has not changed. I sent in my nominations before the incident and included Doaks, Webb, & Shane for Class A. I'm sure the incident will sway some on the committee but if past experience is any guage, the "conduct" portion of the qualifications are not paid much attention to. Witness the awarding of the AA Mr. Basketball to Taurean "T-Head" Moy a few years ago despite his well documented legal scrape & the fallout from that incident. Most of the committee will strictly look at numbers put up.
  11. I guess the forearm shiver he delivered to Christopher Belote of Westview during a dead ball was to express his confidence.
  12. Dresden is #1, So. Fulton #2, & Greenfield #3. Dresden plays Gleason Thursday @ 6:30. Greenfield & So. Fulton play Thursday @ 8:00
  13. I'm not sure what the protocol is on that but my money would be with Paige. Anyone but HeavyD, you know how he is with money this time of year!
  14. If my figures are right Bolivar & McNairy have identical records and split head-to-head. Does anyone know if the tie has been broken already or when a coin may be flipped? Or correct me if I'm wrong (which does happen!)

  16. Peabody played a complete game last night and I am now a believer in Tere Lumley. This is now HER team and not the remnants of previous coaches. My Top 10 later today will reflect my admiration for the Lady Tide. They are the team to beat from the West, thankfully for the others they will not play at home.
  17. After Monday, games involving Westview will be carried in their entirety with updates on others but we will also be covering District 15A from Gleason. I will try to keep the CoachT family up to date on our coverage. We also have to work around conflicts with UT-Martin games so some H.S. games may move over to 95.1 and may not be on the net. Our provider normally carries 101.3 on their website.
  18. 1/14 Dyer Co vs Crockett Co. 6:30 Gibson Co. vs Union City 8:00 7AA both these games will be on the net @www.crunet.com 1/17 DC-CC winner vs #1 seed 6:30 GC-UC winner vs #2 seed 8:00 Obion County & Westview will have a coin flip Saturday for seeding purposes. 1/19 Girls consolation 6:30 Girls championship 8:00
  19. Fair questions and I'm glad you asked. All of Covington's wins are not posted on the scoreboard, I think they are at or above .500 but except for Munford all of their losses are to teams in my Top 10. Westview since Christmas has lost only to Top 10 teams. Honorable mention is for those who would fall in the next five or so & I believe both sets of Chargers fit in that category. Southside actually would probably beat Adamsville as well but the Cards are a pretty good Class A team.
  20. The where teams stand does not refer to record but "as of this week". I knew the shakeup this week would cause some stir in B-Town but as you said you've liked my rankings up til now. If you pay attention to college top 25's there is always some movement after losses. Does this mean a team can no longer win "the big one" No! It's just a reflection of normal movement based on week-to-week matchups. We all agree that the postseason will seperate the "wheat from the chaff". I really believe we could see 4 West teams (outside Shelby Co.) in Murfreesboro. Bolivar & Liberty have an easier road but Haywood & Union City both have a good chance, especially if Union City wins the region. Thanks for the feedback throughout the year.
  21. Here's the last regular season Top 10. Not based on potential but an honest ranking of where they are right now. Enjoy. 1. Union City (27-2) Have played only Liberty of Top 5 but looking at common opponents they deserve top spot (3) Beat Dyer Co. 80-40, beat Crockett Co. 84-58 2. Haywood County (22-4) Home date with Fayette-Ware Friday is last tuneup for streaking Tomcats (4) Beat Northside 79-67, beat Ripley 75-61, beat Milan 94-37 3. Jackson Northside (16-4) May be unbeatable when healthy but injury bug keeps biting (1) Lost to Haywood 79-67, beat Hardin Co. 101-64 4. Liberty (22-4) May be the hottest team in the west going into postseason (5) Beat Bolivar 69-52, beat Chester Co. 80-39 5. Bolivar Central (19-5) Tigers get used to district tourney site with trip to Chester Co. tonight (2) Lost to Liberty 69-52, beat Humboldt 78-56 6. Lexington (21-3) Win streak now at 12. Tigers crack AP poll this week (6) Beat McKenzie 59-44, beat Huntingdon 71-48, beat USJ 70-45 7. Middleton (20-6) Can finish perfect in 14A with win over JCS tonight (8) Beat USJ 71-60, beat Madison 87-47 8. West Carroll (23-2) Got tripped up at Milan but should cruise through district tourney at home. Host region as well (7) Lost to Milan 61-49, beat Clarksburg 78-43, beat Gleason 90-43 9. JCS (18-6) Have won 7 straight. Find out if they’re for real tonight at Middleton (nr) Beat Adamsville 67-45, beat Fayette Academy 68-55 10.
