  1. I agree with where you're coming from, however, I have always been a big believer in the philosophy that "If you can score 100 on them, score 100 on them!" I find that to be especially true in the state tournament...
  2. I will agree with that point...its like that at all levels of basketball...
  3. This is where the pollsters will simply have to do their homework on the out of state teams...until we find a way to simplify this, of course...
  4. Thad, Willie, & Wayne are all exceptional ball players...its a shame this award can only goto one person...I bet the selection committee had a heckuva time with this one...
  5. Well at least we can agree on something, lol...you have your oppinion, I have mine...and for what its worth, good luck to your team next year, I think they will do much better...
  6. I have never really realized it until I looked at Georgia's and saw how poor it was...and I looked at a few other states and noticed they aren't even close to us...CoachT is like a better high school version of Rivals, in my oppinion lol...but the pollsters could very easily compose a poll based on what is on this webstie...
  7. You should, because scrimmages mean about as much as camp...WHICH IS NOTHING!!! My junior year, we scrimmaged Alcoa at the beginning of the year and beat them like they stole somethin...it was by like 40+...the difference between an actual game and a scrimmage/camp is that there is less pressure, not the same atmosphere, and you don't prepare as strongly for a scrimmage as you do for a game...furthermore, everybody plays in a scrimmage...not just the main players, the freshman, sophomores, everybody...again, I reiterate to you, THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK!!! And quit embarassing yourself and your school...this request has already been made to you...
  8. If I was wrong, believe me, I would have no problem admitting it...but if you are in the final 8, among the most elite in the state, you have as good a chance as anybody...anything happens come tournament time...as a fan of the game of basketball, I would hope you have come to know that by now...the defeat was by 23, not 25+ by the way...and Central actually hung for a half and a lil bit of the 3rd quarter and actually came back in the 4th but then Liberty just pulled away...I never predicted Central to win state...I did predict them to get there, but not win it...the least you could do was recognize the fact that they had a shot to win it...I thought Cleveland did some good things this year considering all the talent they lost from last year and I recognized it...you could do the same for my school...
  9. I agree 100%...while there were some horrendous calls in that game, you cannot say things like they were trying to cheat Hamilton...if they had been trying to cheat Hamilton, there would a thousand threads on here about how Shelbyville is the class AAA State Champions...meaning they would've suceeded with the cheating...the officiating was very poor throughout the entire tournament...I noticed in several games that were approaching blow-out status, the refs would start calling touch fouls on the team that was blowing out the other team...which I think all-in-all, they are doing the wrong thing for the right reasons, meaning they are calling fouls on one team to keep another team from getting embarassed further...but at the same time, you allow a dangerous team to stay in a game by doing stuff like that...anybody else notice that???
  10. HAHA, OMG this is hilarious...let me guess...yall would've beaten Bradley Central as well huh??? LOL...you are a sad, sad little boy... Maybe he'll take your advice, he wouldn't take mine...
  11. Thats the conclusion I had originally reached, but I simply dismissed it...
  12. I guess I'll rep the east haha... Beau Brown-McMinn Central-Undecided Tony White Jr.-Bearden-Undecided I think I'm sure there are more, those are just the ones that hit my mind right at the moment...
  13. I like that poll...lol, heck me and you should just do the poll haha...seriously though, these pollsters need to take closer looks at who these teams play and do their research on out of state teams...actually, we are lucky to have a site such as good as CoachT...most states don't have something these great...
  14. Well, I thought your post was idiotic, but I apologize all the same, so lets be mature about this... Honestly, competition IS down state wide...you don't see hardly any of the teams that have dominated in the past...the west has been dominant this year which is very rare...just look at the numbers my friend...the proof is in the numbers...I even used McMinn Central (one of the more consistently dominant teams in the state, much like LA) as an example...they had a mostly freshman squad and made it to the state tournament...that enough was proof for me...
  15. I didn't even ask the stats, I asked who they had and if they had any shooters and if they were athletic or if they were just big men...I didn't say a word about stats...then you are truly an idiot for believing they would've have beaten Raleigh Egypt, Bolivar Central, Liberty Tech. Magnet or Mitchell...your love for your team is admirable...but your inability to admit realities are sad...let me give you an example...I post alot on McMinn Central and when asked if they can beat the likes of Bolivar, Liberty, Mitchell, or RE, I reply by saying they would have a chance but I doubt it because they do not have the caliber of athletes they have nor have they played the strength of schedule they have played...now I ask you again...do you honestly believe without a shadow of a doubt that, in the last four years, Temple would've beaten Bolivar Central (whose last four years players include Brian Lake, Wayne Chism, Willie Kemp, and Olajouwon Kemp), Raleigh Egypt (whose last four years players have included exceptional players such as Maurice Miller and Rico Seay), Liberty Tech. Magnet (who is by far the deepest team in the state, everyone of their players can play), Mitchell (who in the last couple of years have began to show Thad Young, Brandon Powell, and the other kid who is going to UCF, can't think of his name)...while I'm at this, I'm not just proposing this question to IOWNYOU, I want everybody's oppinion on this...IOWNYOU will no doubt say Temple could've beaten these schools so I want a second oppinion because I do not trust his judgement...he has already proven his stupidity enough, I do not require further proof of it...
  16. They were big sure, but how athletic were they??? How good were their shooters??? I didn't ask what their size was, I asked who they had...and you failed to properly answer...so I fail to recognize that as a phenomenal win, as you seemed to put it...and if you truly believe your beloved Crusaders would've beaten the likes of Liberty Tech. Magnet, Bolivar Central, Mitchell, and even Raleigh Egypt the last 4 years, you truly are the most stubborn person I have ever met in my life...learn to admit when you are wrong...then life will get easier for you...
  17. Chances are, nobody cares what you are over...I was just saying they weren't worthy of that #1 ranking at any point...I took that a step further and said they hadn't played the Libertys or Bolivars either...maybe if you could read, you would've seen that...but that is your handicap and I will not fault you for it...
  18. Good Job, who else did Mitchell have on the team besides Thad Young??? Research that and get back to me...I don't believe they had anything a few years ago besides Thad Young...so good job, you beat him as freshman...I believe he was a freshman...and you're telling me you all could beat Mitchell, Bolivar Central, Liberty Tech. Magnet, or Haywood??? They would all DESTROY Temple...I have respect for your team because of what they have accomplished...but not for idiots like you who think Temple is God's gift to basketball...lol and whether or not you think I am stupid does not affect me...
  19. I never said in one post that I thought they were better then every team in the state...as a matter of fact, I said on several posts that they had yet to play a true west TN team and they day they played Liberty, I posted that we would all find out today if McMinn Central is truly worth that #1 Ranking, which I didn't think they were...
  20. I'm not gonna beg but I'd like a Plus subscription...I have an oppinion on everything, not just my fav. team...my posts reflect that...
  21. I thought Bolivar Central was very beatable...but that was just me...however, to show how I was wrong in some ways, I also doubted Liberty until they put a hurting on my boys...
  22. Well I can explain that...YALL PLAY SINGLE A BALL!!! If McMinn Central played Single A, they would have won 3 or 4 gold balls over the past 5 years...maybe even a gold ball every year...I'd say if Temple moved up to AA, they would have trouble producing those kinds of numbers...for one, theyd have to play the likes of Brainerd, Tyner, & McMinn Central year in and year out...the only real competition Temple has is Grace and Grace had their way with Temple this year...and I look for Grace to have their way with Temple next year as well...CSAS will probably have their way with yall too...Temple would not make it out of Region if they played AA, maybe not even District...
  23. Yeah, this is just somethin to do...it wasn't really a laugher, it was a game for about a half and then Central just ran out of gas...I don't act like I know anything, I base everything I posts on numbers and what I see and I also take into account how well a team is playing at the time and try to project what they will do if they progress at that current rate...I'm willing to bet the only time you saw Central was when they were putting hurtings on your beloved Blue Raiders, who have been out of play for many weeks now...Central did not play well at all the entire state tournament...Central had a shot to win it and when it came right down to it, Liberty was just too deep...I wasn't really wrong as you continuously state...I said Central had a shot to win it...I never said they would win it...so it looks as if you are the idiot...Central has played a pretty consistent over the last few years with tough Christmas tournaments every year to see where exactly they are at...I will agree with you about scheduling tougher opponents...but I disagree with you when you said Beau can't play mid or high D1...like I said, he didn't have the well of a tournament...Beau did some great things this year and IMO, he is capable of playing at mid to high major D1...but thats just my oppinion...but if saying Central had a shot to win the state tournament makes me an idiot, then I'm guilty as charged...
  24. I'm glad somebody sees the point I am trying to make lol
