I will say this I was born and raised in Chattanooga witnessed numerous football throughout my lifetime my senior year of High school 1998 I thought Tyner was the greatest football team on earth since the 85 Bears but when I came to Middle TN i had a reality chec. the quality of football up here is ten times better than that of Chattanooga. The difference in Chattanooga those teams are built to be good for 1 to 2 years then they have to rebuild teams up here such as Riverdale are constants on the Tn football map i dont think you can argue with that. Now the argument about Ooltewahs best player being out holds not weight to me thats how teams sports are make due with what you have

How about they just let Rankin coach Riverdale and MTSU

These guys sound like a bunch of little school girls arguing about who Riverdale can and can not beat it is silly just worry about who is on their schedule and who they will face in the playoffs because if they slip up and not win the state it wont matter what they are ranked you all will look silly for even arguing about it

I am from Chattanooga and do not have a dog in this fight but i heard tons of hype about Riverdale in the pre season and after finally seeing them play i have to believe that all of the hype was a bunch of understatements this team is FOR REAL, i seriously believe that when a team scores sixty points in a game and the starters only play two quarters that is not a team you want to mess with

If MTSU recruited the way Riverdale recruits they would win the SUn Belt championship in every sport

Indian do you think Arts and Sciences was inconsistent. I mean a team with only two seniors wins 22 games and the regular season district championship doesnt sound inconsistant to me

I dont know anything about the two coaches mentioned in this thread but I will say that Arts and Sciences also beat Walker Valeey by double figures last year in the region so maybe Arts and Sciences just has a better team than Walker Valley

Yes CSAS has a lot of young talent and can make a run in the district and region but it wont be easy look out for them this year and next year with the whole team returning

This will be a very interesting tournament. The Early favorites are probably csas East Ridge and Howard but it will be an all out war starting with Grundy and Marion in the play in game tonight

Gomab how in the world can you say Jeff Smith is the best player in Chattanooga, when he is not the best player in his district. In his district alone you have Charlie Moore (East Ridge)Rodney Henderson(Howard) and Rodney Marsh(CSAS) who are all better than Jeff Smith. He is good but don't exagerate please
