Yes Jonathon Dye is Dedricks younger brother. Dixons dad went to high school and played high school football w/ John Elway and then went to play football at the University of California i believe. So both of them have good athletic genes. Look for Clinton to make a run into the post season this year.

Dixon and Dye are almost definately the best point guard 2 guard combo in the east and could be one of the top point guard 2 guard combos in the state. They both played for the Mid-State Ballerz over the summer and that helped their game out alot. Dye improved but over this next season everyone will be surprized at Jordan Dixon and how much hes improved. He went from close to an outside threat to an inside/outside threat and playing above the rim.

I dont think Cody quit, ive known him for a while now and hes not the quitter type. If hes down he will do whatever possible to make himself and his team better. Plus their is alot of the line for Cody like D-1 scholarships, that could all go down the drain if he quit the team.

I know Clinton Middle played Alcoa Middle this year and shut them out. Years before Clinton Middle has played, Kingston, Rockwood, Cherokee, alot of teams like that and 1 year Clinton Middle played the Carter Freshman team and lost to them in triple OT. I think what happens is that alot of the players come from the middle school and play other sports or just dont really want to call themselves a part of Clinton High School football and just dont play and over the years a couple more players quit and a couple more quit and then that class that started out good as freshmen has gotten alot smaller and the senior class has only about 10 players in it.

Tony quit the team on Monday but came back in on Tuesday and appologized to the team and coaches and is now back witht he team. But Huddleston is still gone and i dont believe is coming back. I dont think Phillips will start this Friday but im not sure.

No i dont think Clinton has a chance against West and their little chance is even smaller now. Clintons top 2 recievers as well as their starting cornerbacks (same players) Charles "Ta-Ta" Huddleston #4, and Tony Phillips #23 quit the team and starting safety Josh Stallard is possibly out for the season w/ a hurt neck/back. So Clinton will come in to the game friday without their top 2 recievers and their whole starting secondary for the season. But Clinton will hopefully be getting better in a few years because the middle school programs keep getting better and winning middle school championships and alot of young players are playing right now

Prayers from Clinton, their are some things that can over come a rivalry and that is definately one of them.

Oak Ridge won the series 3 games to 2 last year with the teams pretty much even in basketball. And im a Clinton fan but if Clinton beats AC why would we tear down our own goal posts. If AC played the schedule Clinton has played they would be 2-2 at BEST not possibly any better. I thought AC was good after the Fulton win but Fulton is way down this year, and AC hasnt played any other truely talented teams. They have played 1 good team 2 decent teams an 1 bad team. They lost badly to the good team, beat each decent team by 1 point, not in slaughtering fashion. And beat the bad team by about as much as they should have. Clinton will stay in this one to the end. They might not win but they will be in the ball game during the 4th quarter.

If AC blanks Clinton or even beats them by 3 Touchdowns ill be surprised. Im not saying that Clinton is the better team by any means but AC isnt very good this year. And i think the game will go down to the 4th quarter.

No practice doesnt help remember. Actually i wasnt gonna start on this but no the SD fans were out to about the 20 yard line. And yes i seen about atleast 5 players that were on the field take their helmets off and 1 player didnt stop and continued to run across the field. Yes, that shoudl have been a penalty and yes that was in Abdulrahmans field goal range. Like i said a min ago South Doyle had the first quarter but Clinton had the other 3. the 2nd 3rd and 4th quarter South Doyle had nothing except for the long quarterback run late in the 4th. Meanwhile Clintons offense was driving but not producing many points. Take that first quarter away or if the teams woudl have played another quarter this game would have been totally different. I dont believe the best team won. But, congratulations to South Doyle, im not gonna be a sore looser abotu it you won fair and square, the win is in your column not ours and good luck the rest of the season.

SD had a few huge 1st quarter plays with a few Clinton mistakes in the 1st quarter that got SD out to a 18-0 lead. The rest of the 3 quarters were pretty much Clintons but a should have been sack in the 4th quarter with the game 18-18 turned into about a 40 yard run that set up the final field goal with around 30 sec. left. Clinton returned it to the 50 on the kick off and hit about a 15 yard pass to the 35 but couldnt get closer. Not by anyway saying this would have changed the game but when the fans run onto the field and the players take their helmets off when time is still left and start to celebrate shouldnt that be a penalty? If that were a 10 yard penalty that would have put Clinton in Abdulrahmans field goal range.

I thought that if clinton had beaten or 3 times in the last 25 years that meant that oak ridge beat clinton 26 times. ha

Have you ever heard the saying you play like you practice. A good week in practice sure helps your confidence for friday nights and shows your playing hard all week to get to friday night.

And who have you beat. Absolutely nobody, how can you talk crap when you dont have anything to back you. How many teams have you played that were ranked either #1 or 2 in the state. Oak Ridge is ranked #1 in east tennessee and Maryville #2 according to the news sentinal. How many teams has SD played in the top 2 or even top 10 for that matter. Michael York of Clinton had 131 yards rushing on 9 carries with 2 Touchdowns i think. And was 5/12 for 160 yards and 2 TD's.

If that comment was towards how SD should be way better than Clinton then just look at the records this year. I do believe 1-2 is better than 0-3

Ive heard alot about Lightfoot. Who is Wilcox, is he their best player, what position does he play. My predictions are that Clinton will win this one by 2 td's 24-10.

The only way to describe AC's offense is an in your face, run the ball down your throat offense. They run it and get 3 and 4 yards a carry and most of the time take long drives with the occasional pass every once in a while.

I think the difference in this game is gonna be that Clinton has played the best 2 teams in east tennessee their first 2 games according to the news sentinal 1. Oak Ridge and 2. Maryville. Clinton will be preparing to play another team of that calibur and well CC is not that calibur of team. Im definately not saying Clinton is better by any means but i think Clinton will be playing like they are playing a state championship team. I picked the Clinton - Campbell Co. game exactly right last year. This year i think Clinton gets their first win of the season. It wont be a high scoring game because neither team has much of an offense. But I say 21-10 Clinton.

That cant be very true about the 8th graders because Clinton Middle School has won the championship or been to the championship game every year since 2001.

No team in the state of Tennessee IMO has had 1/2 as hard of 2 games as Clinton. When Clinton gets past this Maryville game and the high play of their competition is over i think they will still be playing at a higher level for the rest of the season because of those 2 tough games at the start of the season. I think the 3rd game against CC they will go into the game like they are about to play another State Championship calibur team and go in and play real good. But as for the Maryville game i dont have much to say because well it is what it is and i think everyone in the state knows that.
