Why did Kendra sit out 1/2 the game..... are your starting five plagued by injury or was it just an off night for you guys?

jgarrison.... Does PF play this sat. in what was supposed to be several scrimmages at Carson-Newman but was changed to Jeff County? I know SG plays, but I was wondering if other teams were also scheduled. I'd like to go watch you guys play.

Tell me what you know about Cabrina. South Greene plays them in the first game and I'm a loyal SG fan.... If you could help me out and tell me what you know about them, I would appreciate it. Hopefully SG can prepare for them and get through the first round.

South Greene will be there....I belive they start the touny off with South Doyle first round, and hopefully playing Sevier County second.

Sorry it has taken me so long to comment (Lady Tigers Mom), Yes, this is definitely going to be one of, if not THE, toughest district our girls will have ever faced. With two top squads only losing 1 player, the stakes are raised higher. With Elizabethton and Unicoi always having good teams, you can't take anything for granted. Obviously you know that our teams have to go out and perform ever night, cause no one takes a night off when they play us. Everyone's rivals are US! I konw that SG and PF are returning tons of talent....it should be a battle......!! But isn't this what it's all about!!!

Pigeon Forge will have a good team this year, they only lost one girl. They have experience, but South Greene also only lost one player. South Greene has the deepest bench they've ever had (including the state championship years). They're always well coached and well conditioned....i wouldn't be so hasty in saying the PF will dominate.....SG will always play their game, HARD!

South Greene Wilson Central Greeneville Chuckey Doak Elizabethton North Greene West Greene ....that's all i can think of off the top of my head....i'll get back to you there's 16 or 17 teams, mostly from around the US....tons of talent in it this year! Spose'd to be the best ever!!!

Anyone know who will be participating in the Tiny Day tourny in Greeneville this year. It's an awesome tourny with tons of good teams and players

look for South Greene to be making some noise next year...they only lost one girl...and they just came up one game short of the state tourny...

does anyone know that status of Pigeon Forge and Alcoa....I couldn't make it to the game....but i was curious as to find out who won, and who did what.

easy guys..... Seymour deserved the win....SG was just too outsized.....but SG didn't double team...it's the same defense they've played for years on end.....not a double team....just a help side....off-side girl slides down for the lob...or charge.....there's no two planned people for anyone...it goes for any of the post, not just brooke. way to play hard SG, it's all you can do.....hopefully you'll get some size soon.... and best of luck to Seymour....you guys are great!

i think she's only like 5'6".......if that.... but her vertical is unbelievable....she can be going full speed and pull up for massive hang time in a shot that is well about a 6' girls head......impossible to stop

i'll read whatever i want.......and i didn't say anything about the players either...... first off, i've never witnessed an sg fan curse or point and laugh at another player from an opposing team.....their all over the age of 60 for christ's sake........... and i was replying that South Greene did good with the hand that got dealt to them.......(referees) ........yeah it does make a difference without the greene county refs....but one thing won't change.....South Greene will keep on winning....bank it! and if you don't like what i have to say.....then who cares.....!!

thanks hoosier.... if anything South Greene ended up playing 5 on 8....the refs did everything in their power to get Happy Valley back into the game... not taking anything away from Happy Valley cause they played hard, but while playing hard they played without control and earned everyone of those fouls....if anything they got away with a load of crap. South Greene earns their wins....with or without the referees......Bring it on Unicoi!!!!

ladytigersmom... everytime you're on here you complain about referees. during the South Greene Happy Valley game, both teams played hard but Happy Valley earned their fouls. towards the end of the game South Greene was up by 15 and the refs did everything in the world to get Happy Valley back in the game. it was the worst officiated game i've ever witnessed.....but South Greene still found a way to win....that's what the good teams do.....just sounds like sour grapes to me....just cause South Greene has beat you 3 times in a row without even playing good....in fact those are the worst games i've seen South Greene play.....you should change your username to #1 whiner.

hey giginago41, which team do you play for, my team played her early this year in our very first game of the year. we beat them, but her being in foul trouble helped. she still dropped 22.

eastbball, waddell got her fourth foul early in the fourth and tweed got her fourth foul mid-way through the fourth. after they both received their fourth, they really backed off on defense and played smart, less aggresive, but nonetheless, smart. the officials couldn't call a foul, they didn't have a chance. and yes pf missed free-throws, but South Greene only shot 60 percent. they also didn't have the services of their best shoot, best defender and 3 year starter brittany waddell

hot mamma, every post i have read of yours has been very impressive. your perspective on refs, sg and basketball in general has been refreshing. keep up the good work!
