  1. Thank you for the replies. I knew they were deep. I live in East Tn, so it is hard to keep up with him and my season too. I just tried to find a thread about hunters lane on here when i could, but never saw his name. thanks guys. keep it up j
  2. Can anyone tell me where Jeremiah Crutcher from Hunters Lane is? I haven't heard anything about him in a while. Thanks
  3. Guard play is strong, but post play is suspect. Stop Tony White or atleast hold him under 20 and you have a chance. Attack the rim, Bearden doesn't want to get in foul trouble with them being undermanned.
  4. TSSAA rules say that if you get ejected from a game, you are suspended for the next two and a fine.
  5. Charles Little, Tyler Smith. Both are about as explosive as anyone
  6. I read in the Daily Times about all the county teams, and the one thing that I have a question about is Justin Bruce. He wasn't mentioned once in the article for Heritage, but Grant Snoderly was.-An experienced senior leader who quit during the summer for reasons I do not know.- Not taking anything away from Grant because he is a very tough competitor, but what about Justin? Did he quit or was he just not brought up in the interview? I hope he is still part of the team because he is one of the better guards in the district this year in my opinion. Any response would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Congratulations Logan. Hope you have a great career down there and a great season this year. That's awesome for you, your family, and your community.
  8. Logan is a very solid player. He is at good size because he can post up small guards and take bigger guys out to the perimeter. He plays good hard defense, but I don't think he'll be very effective as a 2 or a 3 in at a D1 school no matter the size. Logan is a good looking prospect though, I wish him luck in his future and the upcoming year. I just don't see him carrying SD very far. He'll need a lot of help. I agree losing King and Burroughs was big. I think those are bigger voids to be filled than most people think. Burroughs in my opinion was the one who got the 'Kees going.
  9. I do not think that SD will as good as they were last year. Everything is put on Logan's back, and although he may be a good player, he is not that good. Last was their year in my opinion when he had a lot more help than this year. They are going to have to win a lot more district games this year than last too. They didn't fair too well last year. They won't suprise anyone because they always choke when it counts. Heritage got them in the first round of districts last year. I do not see them being a postseason contender for anything. The regular season doesn't mean anything when tournament time roles around. They'll win some big games, but nothing to get excited about. There are other teams in their district that are much more talented than them. (Farragut, Bearden)
  10. I saw today on Rivalshoops.com where Shawne Williams reclassified to the class of 2005 and is going to play at Laurinberg Institute in North Carolina. It's nice to know that he is getting another chance. That's just too much talent to let go to waste.
  11. I don't think there is a YOMCA 16's this year. Maybe due to the fact that Chism, Niles, and Young are all playing up. Is Willie Kemp playing with them? How is Shawne Williams eligible?
  12. Yes, Marlon is with CDF now. There is no way the Travelers would take him after he played with another team too. Him and the lefty from College Heights, excuse me, but I don't remember his name. They played with CDF at the 17U east sub state at Alcoa High and middle
  13. The West vs. Maryville game was a good one. So much for that "tournament team" huh?
  14. Thanks LCSweetz. Does anyone have a complete list of the girls who made it?
  15. Is there going to be an all-tournament team announced?
  16. Heard Blount won a good one. I was unable to attend the game. Anyone have any comments on the game that happened to be there?
  17. I hate what happened to Johnathan. Is he done for the summer? I hope he heals quick!
  18. I did not take into account that for them to have 13 runs in 3 innings how time-consuming it must of been. My mistake. A coach does what he/she thinks is best, and hopefully it was a good learning and humbling experience for both coaches and players. I didn't say you made the wrong decision. If time was so close to being called why not finish the game anyway? I understand you've played a lot since the end of spring break. It's not all about winning.
  19. What does it teach your kids when you take them off the field in the middle of a game? I know they were missing players, but still that could be a good time to get inexperienced players a chance to get the experience needed. I don't feel sorry for Maryville that they got drilled because they just humiliated themselves more by walking off. I'm sure they knew what they were going up against before hand, and besides that they still had good ol Hickman and that fancy change up of hers.
  20. Thank you for the reply. I wasn't trying to ruffle anyone's feathers. It's tough on a team to be missing 4 players. Maryville should be commended for playing a very tough team without 4 players. All I am wanting to know is if they were really taken off the field during the game. Tough draw when so many players are out. I know how tough Maryville is. I have been to many of their games this season. I wouldn't be suprised to see them back to the state this year.
  21. Heard there were quite a few shut outs in the tournament. Heard Maryville got it handed to them pretty well by a team from North Carolina. Is it true that Maryville called it quits in the 3rd inning of that game? That's what I heard, surely coach Hawkins wouldn't do that. Just asking if there is any truth in that. No one from Maryville get mad please.
  22. William Blount hit Nikki pretty well. The hit total wasn't high, but they did put the ball in play a lot. It's the defense that helps the pitcher and in this case they helped her against WB. She did throw an awful lot of change ups though.
  23. That is such an awesome thing for Lee to hit that tough fade away in the deep corner like he did over a defender. I'm so glad for him. He is a class act and an incredible guy... Just a great guy from a great family. Way to keep your head up! Can't wait to watch him for three more years on TV in that Gator uniform! I liked the fact that he was interviewed after the game. That was pretty neat.
  24. Clinton fans... you have 40 other threads to post in. Please use one of them. Congrats to Bradley. I can't wait to see them play Clinton. Bradley is quite a bit better than Science Hill I would say. A lot more experience and stronger guard play. Anyone in the top 6-8 on that team is a capable shooter to 19+ feet. Good luck to whoever wins, but no one is overlooking anyone by now. You must've done some good to make it this far. Everyone knows how good Clinton is because your 6 or 7 fans on here are always talking. Save it for one of your own threads. I don't see Clinton's guards handling the pressure from Bradley too well, they are young and not the strongest. I hope they do well, but just my opinion.
  25. It's really pretty easy to understand if you would look at their district tournament bracket. They only have 5 teams in their district. So, the top 3 teams already have been garaunteed a spot in region play. #'s 4 and 5 play for the fourth and final spot. They finished in the top 3 and lost their first game of district play, putting them in the consolation game. Lost then too, but that game is only for seeding in the region tourney. So then they won the first and second region games and lost in the championship. It's just the simple fact that there are only 5 teams in the district.
