  1. I believe there is already a post about this. http://tennessee.coacht.com/boards/index.p...howtopic=159647
  2. I suppose some of you all are really loving this, aren't you? This whole situation is an embarrassment to those of us who have been associated with Temple. This is what happens when you have incompetent and benighted people in places of leadership. I truly feel bad for the kids in all of this, both former and present students. I only hope that we all learn from this and determine not to make the same mistakes in the future.
  3. This is how unapproved website.com projects the match-ups: Westside 68 CSAS 64 Culleoka 54 Cloudland 50 Humboldt 78 Wartburg 66 Temple 56 East Literature 47 --------------------------- Westside 63 Culleoka 60 Temple 64 Humboldt 60 -------------------------- Temple 66 Westside 60 unapproved website.com
  4. It is obvious that you really don't understand what has gone on for the last 5 years in the football program. It appears you have just come in on the tail end of this thing. If you have been around long enough, you would know that up until this year there has not been much of an effort on the schools part to show commitment and dedication to the program. There has been a small group of people who have done a lot of things to support and to push the program, but the support has not really been there from the administration until this year. You would also know that there has been many promises made from those higher up who have not put their money where their mouth is. If there had been more of a concerted and collaberative effort on the part of more than just a few coaches and parents the program would not be faced with the things they're up against now. The blame cannot and should not be placed upon Coach Beard or Skogen. In my estimation they have done more than their fair share to promote the football program of Temple.
  5. You've missed the whole point. The coaches have not "failed" and they have not "quit" (in the way that you are thinking or saying). They have been committed to the football program for the last 5 years (Coach Skogen a lot longer if you count basketball). In a sense, they have been in it for "their own kids", but they have also been in it for other people's kids, as well. So don't even try to say that they have not done what they can to prepare these kids for life, because they certainly have in a lot of ways. As a life long Temple fan I want to thank Coach Skogen and Coach Beard for their countless hours of dedication to the athletic program of Temple. I wish you guys the best for you and your families in the future.
  6. Sounds like you don't have too much of an admiration for certain kinds of schools. Wonder what the reason might be?
  7. Welcome to the game they call LIFE. Coaches, players, students, teachers, people . . . . they come and they go. This is called REALITY. It's been going on for centuries. As the Good Book says, "And it came to pass . ." The Good News is, This Too Shall Pass. Life goes on and we would all do ourselves a favor and do the same thing.
  8. As has already been stated -- there were certain reasons why Taft scored that many points. One the main reasons was that one of Temple best linebackers was out in that game. I think a lot of people underestimate how good Taft really is too. I know it varies from week to week, because it just depends who shows up to play. Yes, the defense might have had some flaws in that game (almost 2 months ago) -- but they have been corrected since then. I expect the Temple defense will do just fine against TC on Friday.
  9. Seth Skogen and Josh Smith of Temple.
  10. I believe Mr. Slick Rick has gone AWOL. Did he fall in the Creek or what?
  11. The Crusaders have done a great job this year. Congratulations to you guys for going 10-0 in the regular season. Hope you guys go far in the playoffs.
  12. I'm going to say that TC will get the win over LV. TC 33 LV 22
  13. Pasture, I understand your passion for your team, but do the Temple Crusaders a favor and tone it down just a bit. Thanks.
  14. That may be true but we weren't expected to get the win. It was also Temple's first time to make the playoffs (after just the second year to have a high school football team). Plus we scored more points against them than any other team. So there was some positive things that came from the game.
