Shelese Arnold 28 SO, Cariline George 24 SO. Game went 14 innings. Would like to know if this is some kind of record. If not, it has to come close. George had to leave the game after the top of the 13th. She took a shot off her knee. Got the out but was unable to come back in the 14th. or the rest of the tourny. Hope she is ok. It was the best softball game I have seen in 5 years. Lexington won 4-1 in 14 innings. Game was tied 0-0 until the 11th tie breaker was in effect. Lex scored in the top of 11. McNairy tied it in the bottom. George was hit with a shot in the top of the 13th got the third out. But like I said, she could not come back in the 14th. Kelcey Ammerson came on and did a good job for McNairy, had 2 outs with a runner on second and third, but an error on a throw to first cost them. Lexington scores 3 in the top of the 14th. Ballgame.

Kohnley Wade at Jackson South Side. Hit 345 this year 21 stolen bases, slugging 475, on base 513. Plays CF, but has to play SS for the school 6 errors on the year. Big heart will do what ever it takes.

Won't ever happen. The Bulldogs like to have big gates and sure wins for out of district games. There is a good chance they would lose this game and we cant take that chance.

Yes that is what they did. I cant take learning experience. The USGF may be new, but these directors have been around the block. The taste that was left in our coaches and players mouth may or may not go away. With the Jackson Sports plex comming on line with USSSA I am trying to get our coaches to stay at home next year. The best fields,umpires and people who put the girls above the money. I feel sorry for directors like Mary Beth Hurbis who spend all year making a name for themself and the USGF. Just to have it torn down in the state tourny, by silly mistakes that any one could see. I had to point out twice to David King he had seeded the wrong teams after the pool play. unreal.

I have to agree, By 12 noon the sun was out and stayed out all day. They were playing by 11 or so. This is a state tourny. Find a true champ. If you have to play untill 11pm or 12am, this is travel ball . If you dont' like that, Dont come to a State or World. How much money did they save. All the games cancelled, no umpire fees. WOW. Also this time limit for the older girls. Lady Storm played 4 games. 13 innings, aginst the same 2 teams. Let them play at least 5 innings or 1:25. Speed the umpires up between innings. And start the clock on the first pitch, not the coin toss. Our 8,9,10 batters got 4 at bats the whole tourney. A lot of money spent for that. We will rethink next year.

nice to be handed the tourny. The game aginst the Lady Storm, I have never seen Parents, Players and Coaches act the way lawrenceburg did. Classless is the word. The Lady Storm were not at the field because the DIRECTOR told them thier game was at 12 midnight. When they were told to come now, they did. But when they tried to warm up. Well thats when all the class was shown by lawrencebug. I guess I would have not wanted them to warm up either. Since early in the day they spanked your fanny. Good job. Hold your heads high. But learn a little class.

I know Chester Co. was playable as was everyone else in W. Tn. Why was this game not played. Do they have that much DIRT to get ready. Whats the deal?

This tourny has been great. Coach Pipkin for Chester Co. has done a great job. The field is great, the food is great, great job on the PA and music. And great job by all the teams, they all came to play. Good luck to the winners.

If you dont want to play with the big girls, play rec ball. If not ,get over it. Real girls wear steel. If your not gonna play to move up. Then go in standing up. Half speed, Just like they do in summer ball. Theses girls can play. If you can't hang with the big dogs, Well ya know.

I don't like it. But I have seen a player on 2nd base giving signs to the batter on where the pitch was going to be. In this case you have to get someones Attn. So she hit the batter in the back. The batter thought the pitch was going to be outside because thats what the 2nd base runner told her. Instead right at the chest. knocked the wind out of her. The the SS calmly told the runner why that happened. NO one gave away any more signs.

Dad, You would call pitches for one inning. I would tell my players to STOP receiving instruction from the sidelines. If she did not. GONE off the team. HOW WOULD THAT MAKE YOU FEEL. If your that good then coach high school, If not BUTT OUT and teach your child to take instruction from her coach. What a concept.

Bottom line. if you don't like them don't wear them. No one forced this young player to wear them. I don't guess anyone was mad that she picked up a little more speed on her pitches because of the added push. Off the field these people are girls. On the field they are athletes, give them the respect they deserve. Bad things happen all the time. I hope she will be fine. But prove to me this would not have happened with rubber cleats on.
