i couldn't agree more on the Sartain comment. He should be on the floor way more time than he recieved tonight. Marion did play a team game and it didn't look like a 2 man show. It was clear than Zephan was the best player in the gym.

the rims are break away so i think they will be ok..and isn't a dunk worth less than a 3? i thought so..better hope 2 or more of grundys players dont catch fire at the same time...not sayin i would take grundy in this one. on paper they shouldn't be in the same gym as howard, but i guess thats why we play the game..upsets happen when a team gets enough momentium and confidence.

i agree with what your sayin DP....zephan has around 20-25...and grundy wins by 10 because of i'll take sartain in this one..i say he is the one who catches fire..and seagroves come up huge with his mid range jumpers...i just cant see in no way marion coming to the mtn this year and winning

it will be closer than it should because it is on the mountain. grundy always play chattanooga teams close when they come to play. i can see it being closer than most think. i would love to take grundy in this one, but it's really hard considering the talent howard is putting on the floor. should be fun to watch

i dont get autographs i have daily conversations...i talk basketball when i talk to coaches therefore i gain knowledge...do i think i know more than 90% of the people on this topic, YES without a doubt... as for the game...if cody and teddy don't get 70% of the shots, see if grundy doesnt get a double digit lead...then lets watch how marions coach adjust...i will take Coach Holt over any coach in 6AA...the guy knows his basketball...Grundy did beat Marion so how are you arguing that Grundy isn't better at something. Jasper fans always have acted like they were the best in the world, even 5 years ago when i was there for one year and bolted for grundy. (yea that gives away who i am)..hahaha

TheTruthPrevials...i've already had another guy who has coached at the high school level agree with me...it's clear you either don't truly understand basketball, or it just burns you up inside that i'm actually right no matter how many JASPER people won't to argue with me and deny it...i've talked with coaches you would dream of meeting...i've talked to players you would pay money to get an autograph from...i think i have established myself to comment on basketball on levels you will never understand...talent doesnt equal wins..look at the Denver Nuggets, look at Kansas St. and USC (tojans)...schedule does make a different (you got something right)..and if you really knew anything about playing or coaches you would know that comparing teams by who they played and the score difference is no way at all to compare...are you the coach at marion? by what i've seen on the court and what you said, you seem like you are or just someone doing something he should be doing at a lower grade level

Zephan will get his, but thats about it. Grundy will win again. Coach Holt just doesn't lose to Marion (ok maybe once). hahaha. Grundy by double digits and in 4 quarters this time. Marion just doesn't have the coaching to win this one. I will be nice and say the talent is equal, grundy is deeper, and grundy has a much better coaching staff. I could coach Marion and post a better record than who is running the show now. Teddy and Cody needs atleast 70% of the shots for marion to pull off the upset. I call it an upset because well Marion NEVER beats Grundy on the hardwood

1. Ramsey is far from #1 JUCO player in the country.. hahaha..he doesn't compare to the guy who is number one. My boy Mario Little at Chipola has that honor and committed to Kansas. 2. Terrance doesn't start at Clemson. He does get plenty of playing time and putting up great numbers. Went to Bradley Central 3. Wayne Chism- heck of a game, heck of a guy. Tyler Smith- one and done at UT. JP Prince- needs more work before he leaves. 4. nobody mentions Delk, Willie Kemp, or any of the other great D1 players from Tennessee (mostly memphis and west TN area)....

whowitit, you said you know more about basketball then just about everyone on this board. How you not figure thats swag? lol..and i would of loved to have been at the game and knew what everyone was talking about but i had a 4 days basketball trip to Arkansas. From what i know about basketball, all coaches need to know who gets the ball in the closing minutes or seconds of a game. If you think just anyone has the ability to score a game winning shot with the pressure you will be mistaken. There are star players, and there are role players. I understand the concept of running the offense and finding the open person, but players need to understand when the star and better players have the ball they have a better chance to win. It's that way at every level of basketball. Teddy, in my opinion, is the best players on the floor when marion/grundy play. If the game came down to a final shot for grundy i would put the ball in Jake Sartain's hands. The problem with a lot of coach is, they try too hard to feed the team concept and not enough time preparing players to win and knowing roles. Players know who the best players are and know who gives them the best to win. It's sad that some coaches don't. Ok, basketball isn't about winning it's just a game. It's about becoming a better person and getting prepared for the future. Anyone want to be a loser? NO.

when you get dominated like marion has over the past years, it's no longer a rivalry. Is Tennessee vs. Florida still a big deal in college football? No, cause Florida has owned Tennessee for the past couple years. Congrats to Grundy on the big win. I'm not sure who whowitwit is but i can make a very good guess just by who he knows and the swagger. LOL!
