Without a doubt Trousdale County. They have been extremely competetive in 3A football they will totally dominate 1A.

I have heard that they are going to hire a coach from East Robertson. I have not heard any names though. A big thanks to the Tennesseean for showing interest in a problem that must be dealt with if Macon County football is to ever be very successful.

Anyone heard anything about the manhunt for a new head coach at Macon County High School?

Sounds good, but lets replace Birdwell with the Pee Wee coaches who have been running their yappers and add Harville to Dyer's team. I do not think Birdwell has had anything to do with Dyer leaving, as far as I know he has been supportive of the staff although I can not say the same about the person who took his position on the board.

Yeah it seems to me that the administration in Macon County want to return the football program to its days of drowning in toilet water. I guess that's what happens when football makes a huge turnaround and basketball assumes the low spot. The people in Macon County need to remember what the program was like before Dyer came in. I hope Coach Dyer hangs around and finishes this season anyway, but I wouldn't blame him if he left. I wish the coaches in Macon County the best with whatever happens.

By the way I say Macon beats Upperman by 17.

If Macon can win out, and Smith County beats Trousdale???, Macon Co. takes 4th place in the region and goes to the playoffs.

Seems funny to me that Antwan says our side was not full, yet Smith County had a hard time checking at the line because those Tiger fans were so loud. It even seemed like the boys in black were the visiting team at times. The Macon Co. Fans are great and they would follow thier team anywhere. As for Macon being finished, I don't think so. They are not quitters and they will battle to the end. Macon still has a shot at the playoffs, keep playing hard boys.

A Tiger is gonna win either way, I just hope it's a blue tiger. Macon shouldn't have much trouble with Dekalb. The key word being shouldn't. It just depends on whether or not the boys in blue show up to play ball. This is a game where Macon's Defense needs to make a statement, 0, and prove that they can make big stops. Macon 21 Dekalb 0

Livingston Academy will come out on top of this one. I'll say 24-14. I must agree that Livingston is more physical than Portland this year. If Trousdale can't play with Portland, how are they gonna stay close to Smith Co. or Livingston? Don't get me wrong. Portland has a good football team, but Smith Co. and Livingston are stacked like Portland usually is.

Macon County went up 7-6 at one point but that was it. The Tiger offense seemed to put together some good drives, but shot theirselves in the foot. The defense on the other hand couldn't do much with LA's ground attack. They forced a couple of turnovers, but couldn't make the big stops when they needed them. I commend Livingston Academy, they have a great team this year and will go far if they stay focused. I would love to see a LA/Smith Co. rematch in the postseason. I don't think it would go the same again. Good luck to Livingston and Macon on the rest of the season.

I heard that the home bleachers are condemned, but they should be ready for the home opener. Last time I went by the stadium they had yellow police tape on those bleachers. Just build a new stadium for Pete's sake. Last year in Macon the stadium and field looked nice, but it is kind of outdated and the parking on game night was terrible. One year I actually got towed from the main lot. What's up with that?

Trousdale County will be hosting a jamboree on Friday, August 20. I think the high school part begins at 7:00.

Lucky? Is that what you call driving down the field to set up and nail two 40+ yard field goals in the final seconds to win the game? I call it clutch my friend. That was the ultimate example of teamwork and will to win. Those guys came together and moved the ball down with less than 2 minutes left. Stop making excuses about Macon lucking up and beating the so called "Big dogs". Just admit that Macon was a very good football team last year. With that said, last year is over, 2004 is now.

Macon County had some nice threads last season, they have the blue, black and white look. Saw them in playoffs, looked great. Can't say the same about their opponents. Honestly though, this is football. It's not some kind of a fashion show. I don't care what you wear as long as you bring it.

I have to say Smith County and Jackson County have the worst visitors seating that I have seen.

Sorry guys, but Livingston and Smith Co. are gonna be bringing the house this year. They are both bringing back some real playmakers. Unless something changes they both are gonna be hard to stop. Macon Co. also has a few guys coming back, but probably new faces up front. Best of luck to all teams in 3A. I can already smell the fresh cut grass and hot dogs. Start the season already!

Will MCHS be the same?...NO. NO team is ever the SAME. From what I hear, they lost about 15 seniors. But I have also been told that they have a lot of talent moving up. Coach Dyer and his staff will have those guys ready to make another run. Believe that. Region 4-3A is probably the toughest region in TN. Portland, SMITH, Trousdale, and Livingston are gonna be gunning for you guys.
