  1. I would be willing to bet a lot more than $10 that a tall, lanky kid with blonde hair is gonna have an incredible race
  2. Think of it this way: how much faster would Jaynes have run if there had been someone else up front? The integration of other divisions for the purity of the sport would be a good thing even if it meant fewer people getting state titles. The title would have a lot more meaning.
  3. We should just get rid of all the divisions and have one meet. Whoever wins would be the undisputed champion of it all.
  4. Yes USJ won, but Dyersburg came in 10th! In case you don't know, this means a whole lot to the Dyersburg girls who have worked really hard this whole season to even get to the state meet. Congrats to them!
  5. Sorry I created two, read the other 1.
  6. We get about 30 guys to come. We serve BBQ ribs and pork shoulder and beef brisket... its really good. Gotta love all the parents that help with the cooking.
  7. Hmm. Dyer County. Obion's got a guy who just shot a 74 at a non-sanctioned family outing last sunday.
  8. Well, it looks like there's no dissent. CoachT -- according to saywhat?, this is a win-win situation. What's not to respect about the ineffably wise sawhat??
  9. Dyersburg has by far the best raquet club of the entire nation. It is called the "Well-Strung Raquet" and has courts on grass, clay, and that normal macadam-like surface that most usual clubs has to offer. Membership isn't cheap, especially the platinum variety which goes for $500K. This club is operated by William S Wilhelm, relative to the FOURTH, the dominant force in tennis next year. There are four platinum members who have elected to erect polished marble flagstones as cornerpieces for the centre court. These members are William P Ralf IV, Esq.; Sir John Michael Mollish, earl of Canterbury, honorary knight of Leeds; Mr. Fifty Cent; and Archduke Ayatollah Khomeni Mullah Omar Muk-Tadda Al-Sadr Bin-Hex Tikki Tikki Tembo NoSarembo CherryBerry Roochie Pip-Perry Pembo Isamabad Dakar Damascus LXVIII, Imam of Dubai and oil cartel.
  10. hmm. so they're not going to get it all done in one go?
  11. Wow. It looks like the third is going down. The FOURTH, a student at Dyersburg Comprehensive High School is up and coming. His rich uncle William S. Wilhelm II Esq. recently passed away. William S. Wilhelm II Esq. was the champion at all Dyersburg tennis tourneys as well as all Missouri tennis tourneys. Of course, being a jolly good rich fellow, he naturally didn't want to spend time learning how to play the game, so what did he do? He wrote a blank check to the pro shop and outfitted himself to the hilt. Now that he died, a sudden case of osteohematoma, he left all of this priceless equipment to the FOURTH. The FOURTH will win.
  12. Antother crucial piece of tennis equipment is the towel. Most player use it to wipe sweat from their faces, but it looks like ATuck has thrown his in at this point.
  13. HA HA NO Besides, he'd hafta use the whips and chains to win any match. Obviously he didnt buy all the fancy tennis equipment that you did.
  14. Even though I come from West TN I still respect Stephanie Evans. She is worthy of a story.
  15. It's bad. It's called an ingrown forearm hair.
  16. Seriously, there is so much the TSSAA could do to make the Track State Meet so much better. Why have it in the least central location when a better track is available in the most central location? well sir, i am all for getting it in Nashville, but then FRA and Lipscomb might have a little "homefield" advantage. just a thought?? Yea, I guess we should have the meet somewhere where there are no highschools within a 50 mile radius, thus eliminating "home-field advantage", lets say.....North Dakota....? It seems like the TSSAA beat you to the idea of moving TN championships to other states. But that was only with softball. We're talking about track here. He||, why don't we move the track championships to the spot where the spoet originated: Athens, Greece. Then we'd be real true to the roots of the sport. I concur.
  17. Hmmm... it seems as though frugality is nonexistant. Last I heard, the officials got hotels at double occupancy (using tssaa money, collected from charging admission) which is more expensive than the cheaper quadruple and quintuple occupancy that most teams must use. Athletics is about the athlete, right?
  18. Sorry about that. But as I was saying before my post was deleted-- keep in mind it wasn't censored or modified or anything like that -- Van Buren High has nothing on Dyersburg Comprehensive High School. Other schools may have the Third, but we have THE FOURTH. He may not make it out this year, but next year he'll (glad I didnt leave my apostrophe out there) be in.
  19. thats right. Dyersburg Comprehensive has made it to region. See ya the Third.
  20. can't answer your question, but i can say that these are some pretty solid times. kudos to the fine athletes, all of whom seem to like the same picture. just watch out for a west tn surprise hailing from dyersburg comprehensive high school. of course, this wont create a problem for yall until state.
  21. Did the Hawaiians get tired of hoola-tennis lately? Why else would they want to be annexed to Indonesia. Besides, we should just let them play here in the US of A in their nice little grass tennis skirts. Besides, Trey wouldn't be following proper Marxist doctrine if he were to make himself better than everyone else.
  22. Saywhat? you weren't supposed to know about that. Anyway, we've got a guys who can do a 100 in 10.23, a 200 in 21.96, a 400 in 51.45, and an 800 in 156.9
