I was at the scrimmage last night and Soddy was completely dominant. Dalton scored on two big plays. One was a quick screen where the defense overran the play, and the other was a deep pass where the corner got burned. Both plays were probably at least 60 yard touchdowns. Besides that, I would say Dalton might have gotten two first downs. The offense sustained two 70 yard drives in the first half to go along with a nice two minute drill that ended in a field goal. The third quarter was played by the younger players and the score was not kept. In the fourth quarter, both teams started out sloppy, with Dalton coughing up a fumble and then Soddy returning the favor with an interception. Soddy got the ball back, and scored their final touchdown with four seconds left on the clock. Final Score: 24-14. Whether Dalton was missing their quarterback or not, Soddy completely dominated this game, and I'm looking forward to week one against Red Bank!
