Triy Fleming was the best... Before he graduates I believe his name is spencer Gulmire from Oak Ridge will be one of those best in TSSAA history...I am not an Oak Ridge fan but I did see him play my Soddy-Daisy Trojans an I have to say kudos to him and hats of to everyone that has inspired that kid to play ball...he is awesome

Yeah that Baylor game was very exciting

It's all right footballrox...We all know exactly what friendship said,we all know what every other team/fans have thought their teams were going to do to Boyd...I mean it's pointless to get on here and try to argue with people who do not even know what they are talking about ...We know Boyd is 2-0 in the semifinals ,,thats 2 consecutive wins in the semi's and 2 trips the the bowl game and coming out 1-1 in the final dance...When all is said and done Boyd will be 3-0 in the semi's and we will go back to the boro for the third straight year!! The closest game Boyd will have will be against DCA...in the State Title Game!@!! Goodluck Coalfield you guys will need a miracle to beat these guys in the swamp.. GO BUCS!!!

Is it supposed to be some kind huge achievement that Coalfield is the last remaining public school in the 1A playoffs..And calling Boyd Boyd University that is hilarious....

Looks like Oak Ridge will have their work cut out for them as well as riverdale...This game should be the state title game with out a doubt

I never said they could beat any team in any classification,What I did say is that they could compete and be successful in any clasification..That is no where near saying that they could beat everyone in every classification.... Boyd-49 Coalfield-21

In no way am I trying to be arrogant...I am just telling you the facts on Boyd....not trying to take away from Coalfield in any way! This Boyd team is something special to see. Drew Akins, Mr.Football finalist Matt Peardon,Matt Henley,Robert Coleman,Tripp Wingo,Daniel Atchley,Weston Perry,The Whole Offensive and Defensive lines,Special Teams....They all execute very well, and a lot of times at halftime they are telling the coaches some of the adjustments they need to make...It's gonna be a good game.I am sure of that and hats off to Coalfield for making it this far..Can't wait till Friday night in the swamp!! And yes it really is a swamp!!

First and foremost Gulmire from Oak Ridge is the the hardest running back in the state...and probably the best all around Dewayne Caldwell is not to shabby from Ooltewah Matt Peardon from Boyd-Buchanan is the hardest to tackle just ask FCS Gaston Miller is pretty good Jake Nunley is another

Yes Boyd can hang with anybody..Yeah next weeks thread may not matter now but we both know boyd will win...come on...get over the denial...no one is discrediting Coalfield....But when it comes to Boyd and DCA there is no other 1A TEAM in the state that beats them this year...You will find that out Friday night...You should make the trip down to Chattown and witness first hand what well all know here in Chattanooga....Boyd is like Maryville is in 4-a and like Riverdale and Oak Ridge is in 5-a....It might be close for a half like last night,but when Boyd comes on the field in the second half they make the necessary adjustmenst and turn it up a level or 3....Seriously you should make the trip down here friday cy ...just witness boyd for yourself and then you can respect them and realize the facts of Boyd Buchanan Football

I was the poster that said they can play with everybody...Just for your information Boyd lost that game in the final 20 seconds on a miracle play but it was a great one...Boyd lost by 3 points...... It doesn't matter either way there will be another Boyd thread on here next week and it will say Boyd in state final for third year in a row looking for win #2 in a row in BLUE CROSS BOWL and COALFIELD will be at home watching....MARK MY WORDS

Well I know those Riverdale fans think their team is invincible ..It would be nice to see them in region 2-5a and see how they fair then...Oak Ridge has felt defeat one time this year against DB in which they used as motivation for last nights game and won...I would have to give Oak ridge the advantage in this one...There is no stopping Gulmire ..sure riverdale has dave thomas,,but when he meets Gulmire Friday night he will see what region 2-5a is all about...Congrats to Oak Ridge this season..this coming from a Soddy Daisy fan, They have all the tools they need to win state and to knock off Riverdale...... After watching this Boyd team all season long for the first time I have been won over by the BUCS and coach Akins.....This team could compete and be successful in any classification in Tennessee..1A,2A,3A,4A,5A dII.....Coach Akins and his crew now how to adjust ,to make the necessary changes to beat teams in the second half..and the kids believe in him and his staff......Good luck to the rest of the Bucs opponents cause they are gonna need it!!! Everyone in 3-1a glad to see Boyd gone

You see the thing about Boyd is that this team is a machine...You can't just focus on one part or one person on this team....If you focus your defense on Peardon they will beat you with Henley...and if you key on those to they will option you to death with drew,henly and peardon....and if thats not enuff they can throw the ball very well... Then comes the defense..Not much I can say about these guys..they execute better than most defenses around here in chattanooga...So I guess what I am trying to say is ..FCS has a really tuff game friday night and they better use homefield advantage for all its worth..... I don't know guys,,Farragut is on a roll right now...I think the Admirals defense will need to contain Gulmire better,If they control OR inside the redzone..and limit Gulmires big runs,they can win this game...but stopping Gulmire will be a huge task in itself.. Farragut 20 Gulmire 19

Thats probably the best shot at the score i have seen yet.....Both of these teams really mirror each other..Soddy passes a little more than DB ..but all in all they match up very well...It will be a good game
