And they wonder Y they were 0-10 last year, It's not good for kids who have been lifting 3-5 years doing 3 a days, when you work out u tear your body down then you rebuild it by eating properly and resting recovering its kind of hard to do that lifting 3 times a day......lol Blackmans never have and never will beat rainkin. If Rankin elects to stay Riverdale will earn #5 and thats just being real, now whats not being real is who ever put smryna, oakland and champion ship in the same paragraph. oaklands last chance was in 2000 which they will never have a team as good as that one ever again becaues that neighborhood zooning is no longer split by riverdale and oakland it is now mainly blackman and a small portion riverdale. I think smryna last chance was 97 or 98 in 4a with one of the best athletes out of rutherford county ever under center. Trust me I played from 99-03 Ive watched these teams for the last 12 years. If they had a chance i would be real about it like wolkes senior year there was a slight chance, that offense is just to complicated to beat a solid d like riverdale.

No Sir don't agree and that's the reason I've been around I A football 2 years and I've seen at least 20 players flunk out, becaues they were hand feed inhigh school and got here and it was just to much. Their becoming men and part of that is being responsible pass the test get cleared by clearing houes. i had to sat my fresh year due to NCAA rules reguarding grades low gpa.Due I blame riverdale no, I blame myself I didn't pass the test I didn't have a high enough GPA. Don't let these guys who done got kicked off the team, or when it came time to gradute tell you oh it was the coach story caues it's a flat out lie........

I played 4 years for riverdale and i am now playing Division I A football i have yet to have a coach as good as Rankin. Rankin tells you when you first walk in that door that if you work hard and take care of your books you will have a chance to play I A football. He consistantly reminded us about books and we had no lifts on thurs days. That was time sat a side for progects and so on. The man can't make kids excell in school he is a football specialist, not rocket sceintist.Oh yah all a kid has to do is pass 5 out of 6 class and be on path to grduate to play ball.oakland would take rankin if they had a chance. I live in the boro I know everything about every school here..........

Yeah buddy the key to riverdales winning is rainkin is able to get his kids to buy in to his system. He makes a promise no other coach in the state can make. That is if you do what we ask( lifting,running,and make the grades) Do what you taught(reads, tenique) We will up hold our part. Then we can coach you, and if you stay 4 years, you will get a ring.

Your not a good team if 1 individual keeps you from winning, dept is the diffrence between Riverdale and the rest of the state.

The I is great.Gary RanKin has been running the same plays with different players for 16 years and no ones has stopped it. The couple of Champ. loss were due to playmakers not makeing plays fumbleing, and drop balls. every now and then he will send a man in motion, But thats jus to make the opssing team think what if.

The I, to much rome for error with a bunch of 16-18 year old guys running around. It's hard to be consistant running a spread O do to drops by WR, blits and no run game. You better have a great D if you plane on running one in 5A. Smyrna for ex. acouple of years ago ran the spread beatiful and it was scary to watch Wolke on film, but the O was not consitant becaues of presure from D's like Riverdale and a few others.

There is no reason to get up tight or nervious we have played in plenty of big games. Thats just the hole we have dug our selfs in. You have been coached to the best of or ability.Don't think on the feild just react(2001 BlueCross Bowl). ....................... For thoes of you who don't know Riverdale didn't practice for D. C. last week they have had tow good weeks of practice for Wilson Central. It want be close they will read well on D and take big shots on O. It will get ugly early. Riverdale By 28

What's up guys....I will get straight to the point. First of all, I have witnessed both teams and there are some very evident things about both. Wilson Central has been quoted as being a much improved team from last year..actually they are a more convinced, confident, and competitive football team. They have not been the same team since last year's away win against Oakland. They have been able to execute against teams that they have had some problems executing as well against in the past. This years Riverdale team is a team that works harder than some of their teams in the past. There, however, have been a couple of low scoring riverdale games (27-0/28-20) that have opponents very confident. Recognize...They had 2 touchdowns called back that would have made the lincoln co. score 41-0. They had 3 touchdowns called back that would have made the lavergne score 49-20. Twenty points was a lot of points for them to give up against one team....But remember that 14 of those 20 points came from long touchdowns on 4th and 10+ situations (hats off to Rodriguez). I am saying all of this because the only factor that has been close to beating Riverdale is themselves. It is very hard for a team to get mentally prepared for teams that they don't think matches up, but thanks to the media, fans and players of Wilson Central.... guess who (Riverdale)will be very prepared. Wilson Central runs misdirection, screens, hot passes, and a couple of plays up the gut. Guess what ... They are going to gain some yards and get some first downs. Riverdale mixes in numerous formations as well...MANY that you only see when the situation calls for it. But the truth is...THIS RIVERDALE TEAM WILL BE LIGHT YEARS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER TEAM THAT WILSON CENTRAL HAS SEEN THIS YEAR! For example, this team took a whole week of practice last week to work on nothing but fudamentals (to lower penalties). They spent very minimal time focusing on Dickson Counties schemes and won 35-0.Wilson Central get prepared...because I am afraid that you have done just a little too much talking about accomplishments that other teams have been doing for years; being 5-0. PREDICTION: Riverdale by 30+

I mean who is it. Is it Riverdale, Brentwood, are their sleepers out there. The only thing that scares me about the dale is that they have had a problem with getting 19 in a role, and every true warrior remembers 1st round 1999. So make history an get 20. stay humble and beleive

cbq makes my point exactly i saw lowndes play this past fridayy in valdosta, georgia and they didnt do anything overly impressive and they are currently the number 2 team in the nation! I would love to see them play Maryville or THE ALMIGHTY RIVERDALE. Lowndes is one of two high schools in the county which has a population about the same as rutherford county.........if rutherford county had just two high schools one could only imagine how great they would be

Smyrna losses regular season games. There are onlya few teams that can loss a regular season game and make a play off run Oakland who's very good at it. Riverdal rarely. Blackman twice. Last time smryna was actually good enough to be a threat. Larry Daneiles was under center. When did a State championship Visit magicly appeare for the town of smryna. Riverdale has never been threatened by smyrna. I can remember the 2001 guys from R'dale saying they practiced for cloudland and blackman and played a simple base D. And grinded the ball out on O on them.You cant get props and respect for doing nothing.

Actually the Riverdale vs MBA 00'did go down in their anually early fall scrimage they have every year R'dale won but keep in mind the first and secound team scores were combined first teams were about even.
