  1. bubblegum99, sorry to disappoint you, but you are mistaken! This is 2008 and no i dont or never did have a child on the team this year or last(2007). So with that in mind i have no idea why the kids would quit or who all did.
  2. dont know why you think i would know, if you going by the name; well i wil always be momwildcat, but my son has been off the team for a few years now. He was on the 2005 State team. So i'm not who you are thinking i am evidently.
  3. Does anyone know how many players has quit on LA's team and were any of them starters? Why did they quit?
  4. with a response like this coming from the LA Seniors, this could be the problem with the team-Its called teamwork not SR work! Good luck friday night LA i will be there cheering you on.
  5. hilhamhound, u must not watch LA play very much or u would know that after the 05 team, there where very few kids left from that team, so not only did they loose almost the entire team that year they also lost there head coach, so that 1-9 year was a very tough year for our kids especially the SR's that played a major roll in the state championship, but did they quite NO they kept there heads high and they worked there butts off every week just like the kids do now. So instead of sending all negative towards our kids and program get behind them and support them. Go LA keep your heads high and play from the Heart each game. We will be there every week to support you!
  6. i have known Lamb for 5yrs now and he has always been a great influence for the children and the children love him, i think they need to give him the chance to see what he can do with the team, he is the only coach that has stuck with the children year after year, he is a well respected man by parents and the kids, my son graduated last year but still calls on Coach Lamb for advice, not many teachers or coaches are there for the kids throughout life like Lamb is. I heard they should know by tomorrow who gets it(Thursday 3-27)
  7. Good luck tonight to each team hope its injury free, but i'm pulling for AC!
  8. KC-becareful with AE they are fragile, if a player gets hurt during the game u will be cheaters and will be coached to play dirty, so KC go out there and show AE how to play hard nosed football. I usually wouldnt root for KC since its a private school but since its against AE-and you all showed class towards us, I hope to see u in rd 3 KC.
  9. Good Luck OWLS! but keep your eyes open playing at york u dont only have to beat the team, but also the clock, because they use it to there advantage......again GOOD LUCK OWLS from LA Fan, will be there cheering u on Friday night.
  10. quess everyones blaming the coach again, hope those fans from last year realize that it had nothing to do with the coaching, thats its the team in general, we have young inexperienced players and until they all step and play with heart there will be no victorys for LA.
  11. Go Cats lets get a win tonight and show the region what LA is made of, Pray up, and Play Hard and a VICTORY will be in store, become a team of 1 and u can do it.......will be there cheering u all on! H-O-G-E-Y-E!
  12. well i dont know about exposure(but he wears a gold ring with pride and made his way to college on a football scholarship something that wouldnt have happened if he had stayed in pickett county), but the boy u are talking about would be my son, if i'm not mistaking they played pee-wee football for the outlaws from the ages of 7 & 9 and was apart of the livingston team before pickett ever started a team, so they just stayed with there team as they growed older, i am very happy for pickett countys football program but dont down the kids that wanted to play football before pickett started a team. one of my sons have been in livingston since he was in 3rd grade and the other since 7th, and yes one of them did play a role in the 2005 state champs but just one or two players wont change the outlook for pickett countys team, good luck this year bobcats.
  13. Was just wondering if any of livingstons 2006 seniors were being looked at by any colleges or if the bad season has hurt them with not getting looked at from colleges.
  14. I dont think its as much will he keep any as it is will any stay, i know that coach lamb will not be returning and i really hate to see this because the kids loved him or should i say the most of them, but i do wish him and danny the best of luck where ever they decide to go. i dont look for next year to be any better than this year, once the certain group graduates i think the football team will be back i full swing regardless who is coaching, politics ruins everything. good luck to la next year, i will be there cheering you on again win or loose.......
  15. either of these would make a great coach, but would love to see lamb get it.
  16. are u kidding me, from the prior post that u have on the region topic; u must be the parent of #4, first to set the record straight josh carwile got kicked of the team per tssaa rules(not having the grades), second brannon didnt start QB and if he had the team would have problem done just as good or even better because then we would have had an experienced Wide Reciever, and i dont know who u are talking about as the 185 lineman unless your referring to shukoe, or cannon, but i can tell u both of those boys done a good job, because the rest of our line was way over 200lbs each, and as for danny loosing the games he didnt the boys where the ones playing it not danny i dont think he was the one missing the tackles, but this season is over and everything should be behind the team for next year regardless who the coaches are, as for bruce lamb you cant find a more loved and caring coach and i dont know of any kids that dont like him unless they are just one that dont like anyone.
  17. SC i'm pulling for you, go out and get the win, just like LA did last year no one thought we could beat Notre Dame either but our boys had the heart that alot of teams dont have and we got the win and then went on to win state, i hope you all can do the same....Good Luck Guys!
  18. Good Luck to the Owls tonight from Hogeye!
  19. There is a couple boys at Livingston Academy that should be recognized....there team wasnt very great this year but these 2 lineman helped to take LA to the state last year. #52- Curtis Beaty 6'2" 300lbs OL/DL #70 - Rober Holt 6' 3" 305lbs OL/DL they deserve to be a prospect.
  20. this will be Catholics mistake, they best not over look AE they look like another LA coming out as State Champions this year with several upsets on the way with the first one starting this week against KC....Good Luck to both teams this Friday.
  21. first of all i will start that i hate this for Danny and i really hate seeing him go because my son and his are good friends, but to set the record straight uncle L my husband is one of the fans that yells at the refs whether they are down 49-0 or up 0-49, and has always done so since our boys have played peewee, and i can assure u he was not a part of this at all, so just because u yell at the refs dont make u a back stabber your comment is a little out of line, if u know who is behind it be man enough to say it not just say the fans because not all the fans is against Danny as u can read in my previous post. And again Danny i wish u the best of luck, and hope to at least see u as an off. coordinater next year.
  22. are you sure about this, my son was a senior this year and i've not heard anything about it, when did he annouce this just today. I dont understand what the fans expected we only had about 5 guys that played last year on the championship team and theres noway he could have gave them another gold ball this year with the talent they had to work with, the only thing i seen that he should have done differently is put little mccoin in as qb and holt as receiver but i quess he didnt want to be dogged about starting his son as a freshmen, but if i remember correctly thats what they did with cates. not that holt wasnt a good qb its just that we needed him more as a receiver and that would have gave mccoin another year experience. good luck danny if this is true and i hope u do choose to stay on as a off coord
  23. first of all the state title wasnt fultons to loose, it was someones to win and that LA did, yes we have fallen this year but be prepared we will return soon with another great team, with only 5 0r 6 players that came back from last year we have a rebuilding year that has been rough for those boys that was apart of the winning title last year, but they have held there heads high and continued to fight regardless of what the outcome has been. no to the question will la win, most likely not but we will fight for a win regardless of our record, and our chance. fulton have a safe trip to LA!
  24. they may go 10-0 but they wont last through the playoffs once the run into the region 2 teams, knoc catholic, or fulton. the state title will be defended again by the east region in 3a
