NO CONTEST The worst place to play a high school football game is a god forsaken place called Cloudland. That place is out in the middle of nowhere. The field is bad and they have a visitors locker room the size of a bathroom. It is awful to play a game there.

Cook from South Pitt should win it. The CAK QB had some good numbers, but look who it was against. South Pitt played a top 10 3A team who will probably not lose many more games in the regular season.

I would like to see a freshman in 1A who is better than the Walker kid at South Pittsburg. I have been watching the program for many years. I don't know if I have ever seen such a talented freshman.

Boyd by 35 is not enough. They will beat Whitvegas by 50 or more. I don't think I can rank the teams in exact order, but I see the top 6 teams in 1A as follows. Boyd Buch U.S.J Ezell S.Pittsburg C.P.A D.C.A OTHERS Cloudland Greenback

To be honest about it. Bledsoe is a very very bad football team. I don't look for them to win many games this year. They are truly awful. I am not being mean just stating the facts.

I agree that Peardon had a great game for Boyd this week and actually had a few more yards, but I think Ron Cook deserves it this week. I think he had 180 something rushing yards on 17 carries and 4 touchdowns. Grundy County is alot better than Walker Valley so for this reason I would have to vote for Cook this week.

Cloudland will beat everyone on their schedule bad. I am not a Lander fan, but it's the truth. I sure wish we had North Greene, Unaka, and others in our region instead of Boyd. They will win this game by 42 points or more.

I do not think Whitwell is a good team. Boyd Buchanan will beat them as bad as they want too. I am counting on at least a 50 point win. When Boyd and South Pitt play that should be a great game, but not Boyd/Whitwell. Boyd 59 Whitwell 6

Del, I agree with your comment about the refs being bad, but I think both teams had around 100 yards in penalties. At least they didnt steal a touchdown from Grundy. That was a very bad call. The ball breaks the goaline then pops out. Touchdown. No doubt. Good luck the rest of the year.

The last five years S.P. record is as follows. 1998 13-1 (lost in semifinals to eventual Champ by 10, Trousdale beat the West representative by 50) 1999 15-0 State Champs won Clinic Bowl by 30 2000 2-7 a season to forget, first losing season in around 20 years. 2001 9-5 Semifinals with a team full of sophmores, 2002 11-2 disappointing 2nd round loss. 50-13 record over the course of the last five years. I don't know about you, but I think that is pretty good.

Hey Caeser. Someone said on here that Cook and Bryant were hurt. Is this true? How bad are they injuries? They are both good players.

That would be very unfortunate for those two guys. Cook is a good player. What are they saying is wrong with his knee?

What happened to Joey Cook? Is he hurt bad. He is a good player, it would be bad if he was injured bad.

It's just a scrimmage and Moore could win in this one, but I think if it were a real game they would not win. Don't put alot of stock in scrimmages.

All I have to say is just wait. I mean come one we had you guys by like 50 at the half last year. You have most of your players back, but so do we. Do you really think you have gotten 50 points better in a year? I am not being smart, but seriously think about it.

I hope Whitwell controlled the scrimmage. After all they were playing Cannon County and Oakdale. When you play teams like that you should destroy them.

When you are running 8 on 8 no wait actually Whitwell had 9 offensive players and South Pitt had 7 defenders. All these "scores" u are talking about were made to the outside where there were no DB's to contain.

Yeah South Pittsburg did not score in their 10 offensive plays against Whitwell, but how many plays did they actually run? I will be willing to bet the score this year when these two play will be about the same it was last year. Just wait and see. Oh yeah Tidwell could play for Sewanee or someone, but as far as being SEC there is no way.

South Pittsburg is looking for a game for the fourth week (Sept 19). Brainerd Academy recently dropped them along with all the rest of the teams from the region. Does anyone know of any schools having an open date that week? We will play at home or at your place. We are looking for someone within a reasonable distance. If some people on here are stupid enough to think South Pittsburg's days are over then you are pretty stupid. So. Pitt program is on the rise again. They had a few lean years after the 3rd state championship they won in 99. They have alot of seniors this coming year, but they also have ALOT of talent coming up in 10th to 5th grade. Boyd is suppose to be a little christian school, but it seems to me they talk more smack than anyone. As for the idiot on here that says "Westmoreland" sharpened his buckle. Westmoreland didnt even play at South Pittsburg. I am sick of hearing about this crap. Eddie Moore was the one you accused of sharpening his buckle. Just look at Eddie Moore he didnt need to sharpen his buckle. He was a man among kids when they played Boyd that year. Oh yeah until you get a ring your program is not what ours is. When you get that first ring you will still be a few rings behind so you better get busy to catch up.

South Pitt should have some good freshman this year. They had a very very good 8th grade team the last few years. Although I do not know if all of those athletes came out or not.

Satterfield of Greenback is not the Satterfield from Trousdale's brother. I do not even think they are related. The Trousdale coach is a MUCH better coach than the Greenback Satterfield.
