I’d say they are probably similar to our other two opponents so far.. Franklin and Sequatchie.

Y’all got a great chance to run the east and maybe win the whole thing. I agree with another poster. Y’all are like SP in1A. Nobody in the east has as many athletes overall as either of us.

I was looking at some scores. I would think it’s safe to say the teams that have beaten NJ are all good teams. I haven’t seen NJ at all but I’d say they would have won 3-4 games if they had played our schedule.

This year’s Jasper team is a very good team from what I saw at the jamboree. Your overall size up front to me with this team looks better than those teams from 2014-2016. That Henderson kid and McClain kid were good. Zemen was very special in 2014. Walters was a super stud. Your QB play this year isn’t close to Walters, but then again whose would be. However, you guys have a great group of athletes from what I saw this year. Those older teams didn’t have anyone as fast as Pickett. I believe the ingredients are there for your team to be just as good overall as those teams. You’re better in some areas and not as good in others. I saw #1, #2 (I think) #3, #4, #6 at the jamboree. Those are some great players. That #40 or 42 is a beast kid too. 2023 Warriors don’t have a 2014 Zemen or a 2015 Walters, but those teams didn’t have a 2023 #4 either. I’m coming tonight to watch this one as well.

May I interject? I don’t want to crash your thread here so I’m asking if I may present my take on the topic.

I’ve never heard that story before.

I got Whitwell by 14 in this battle for second place in the region.

I have heard good things about them. I saw them briefly in the season opener before leaving early in the second half.

Understandable but Sale Creek being ranked is a joke. That didn’t last long. I guess a better way to put it is I don’t see a dominate team in 2A east or 1A east for that matter.

Moore County should handle them. SP should have beaten them worse in my opinion. Moore County by 28.

2A seems to be very down and there for the taking this season. I don’t see teams like Tyner 2022, Meigs 2018, 2019, 2020 etc.

All I know is what I saw in your jamboree and your warriors team has a ton of athletes and some big dang linemen too. I agree that Fayettevile has played better competition so far.

I’m not trying to “stoke” anything. Fayettevile was loaded the last 4 years. They lost almost every single starter except the QB. I didn’t say you would win by 40 or make some stupid prediction. I said you could win by 21. Dang everything isn’t always purple and white or orange and black.

I don’t think Jasper will blow them out either. I think you could win by 3 touchdowns though this week. Fayetteville isn’t bad by any means. They just aren’t near the level we have seen the past 4 seasons.

That win over Watertown is pretty impressive. The win I see over Bledsoe after they nailed Sale Creek last night. Then they torched East Ridge. Pirates have a good team but so does Sequatchie. It will be tough to win by more than 14. Should be a classic SP/SC game like we’ve seen through the years.

Maybe you did, but regardless Jo Byrns…. Come on man.. Whitwell handled them.

LOL.. Jo Byrns got blown out by Whitwell. Gordonsville will win easily.

Jasper should win over this 0-3 Fayettevile team. This looks like the weakest Fayettevile team since about 2018. Jasper by 3 touchdowns.

SP needs to try and get the Gordonsville monkey off their back this year. It’s never easy for anyone when SP and Gordonsville play and I’m sure this year won’t be any different.

Leave it up to a Pirate mama to come on here Copper Basin week and set people straight. Anyone remember 2014 and the Cheeseburger fiasco? lol…It was Copper Basin week too. What is at the Basin boys that bring the mama’s out. Someone tell Stone to make sure to give the kids their cheeseburgers on Friday night even if we lose the game. One laugh for every year I’ve been laughing about that deal since it happened.
