  1. The parking lot was a mess.... but the game was great. With the score 6-1 at the end of the first quarter, you knew this was a unique game. Heim was a true leader for the Irish, but Wright was too much, and Kotas showed great poise at the free throw line. Heck of a game, can't wait for the rematch.
  2. Father Ryan seems to have different people step up every night. Dylan Heim and Michael Graham from the perimeter and Julius Virgo down low. You can never count them out because they never give up. They had two huge comback wins over Hillsboro (OT), and Stratford. Only lost 3 tough games to Giles, MUS, and Notre Dame i believe. If FRHS plays to potential, and plays their style, BA could find themselves in a tough game.
  3. I do not play. I am just a fan.
  4. Big time game with Father Ryan on a current hot streak. Do they have enough for BA? Should be a great game.
  5. All I'm wishing for is a great game, which is what i expect to see. I've seen a lot of tough BA vs. FRHS games, and I don't doubt Friday will be another.
  6. This game was a joke. Dylan Heim was outstanding. I believe he hit his first 4 or 5 3pt attempts, and still the MBA fans taunted and yelled at him. I think he had enough to keep them in their place though. It was a great atmosphere for basketball, and the Irish totally dominated in every aspect. Bring on BA.
  7. BA wins big.... looking forward more to the FRHS BA match next friday... FRHS killed MBA tonite
  8. I doubt you would call Father Ryan's wrestling facilities for wrestling and weight training great. All together the wrestling room and weight room is about the size of three classrooms...maybe.. two and a half. Having a great coach helps though.
  9. Yea, definitely Brentwood Academy ... but i like how the visiting students sit behind the goal and the BA students are to the direct right. With the student sections so close, it always gets heated there.
  10. Small gyms aren't bad at all. Duke's Cameron Indoor is quite small when it comes to college standards, especially a high profile team like Duke, yet it was ranked the 4th best sporting venue of the 20th century.
  11. Our gym at Father Ryan is tiny...haha... but no JP2's gym was disappointingly small.. With the amount of kids they are expecting to have there, the gym is horrible. There was hardly any room to move.
  12. The Father Ryan squad definitely showed great heart and perserverence in this tourney. Virgo was huge down the stretch, Dylan Heim was a great leader on the court, and some younger guys really stepped up. ..... Stratfords big number 52 was totally taken out of the game tonite. This was one big reason the Irish were able to overcome the Spartans. He fouled out with both an intentional and technical in the game.
  13. Tyler Davis does play; however, most of the sophmores are rotating jerseys to dress out from night to night. He was in two nights ago and scored a lay up.
  14. What happened in this one? I was shocked when I heard Oakland lost. Not dissing JP2 at all, but all the talk about Oakland before the tourney must have given me a false idea on how good this team is.
  15. Ha, I hope that wasn't a diss towards Cathloics..
  16. That gym is rediculous; thanks for the site.
  17. Michael Graham of FRHS. The sweetest, most consistent shot I've ever seen.
  18. There was this one kid from ECS last year that looked like Screech from Saved by the Bell. When they came to FRHS, everytime he touched the ball the whole student section would yell SCREEECH.... I think dude had about 10 turnovers. Poor guy.
  19. Irish pull it out again, improving to 5-1. They are looking great and have another test at home tomorrow against Notre Dame. Good Luck Irish.
  20. FRHS has changed things around from last year. They could give BA a run for their money on a good night. Bontrager is a great coach and you never know what he can do. They beat McCallie tonight, and they have a big test next week with Tyler Smith and Giles Co. We'll just have to see.
  21. McCallie was a better team. BA was too inconsistent.
  22. Why do some of you say that we don't know what hard work is and that we haven't seen anything yet. If this is true, I guess you can call us wusses. Coach J was a coach that was all about hard work. I mean people had to tell him to lay off on his players after his first year. He had us working hard all year round, and summer workouts were no joke. We were in 6 days a week during the season. I can understand that Coach Fiveash does not take any crap, but Coach J didn't take any either. He was a strict disciplinarian. In his first year, he drove many people away with the amount of intensity he had in his practices. We know hard work. Another thing, is Coach Fiveash a player's coach? I've read all your stories about him, but is he a coach you can go to if you need to talk about something? Does he even smile? Will the players like him?
  23. Oak Ridge or DB against MUS would be an awesome game, but Riverdale is too strong and fast for anyone; however, there is a good chance that if Riverdale played the schedule MUS did, they would not be undefeated. They are definitely the best team in the state, but last year, MBA had an incredible team and was ranked nationally, but they couldn't stay undefeated in D2.
  24. Ah im not worried about tuition.... I just want to win...
