Union City 45 Humboldt 25 With this open week, maybe they will end their HOME LOOSING STREAK with Westview. It'll be tough.

I would rather listen to the OC/UC game on WENK am 1240 than 104.9 anyday. I don't care if it's on AM. After reading this forum (all 10 pages) the people at 104.9 should be ashamed of themselves. They don't care enough about the local communities to provide the service of play by play. I am mainly a UCHS supporter (since I am alumni), but Friday nights I keep up with all of the local schools. As for the Westview game this week, I will listen to WCMT. I will NOT listen to 104.9 even if they are trying to spread rumors about play by play returning. I think it would be best if everyone would do the same. I was really excited when I heard that South Fulton play by play was picked up by WFUL. Atleast they understand how valuable it is to provide a community service.

I don't believe that it's the coaching to blame or the loss of Coach Barnes. I believe one of the main reasons that Union City has gotten worse year after year is because of the Obion County elementary schools on the edge of Union City. It seems every year that UC's enrollment shinks. More parents sent there children to Ridgemont or Lake Road. I think more of the athetic kids went to either of those two schools which feed into Obion County Central. It is really hard to believe that just 4 or 5 years ago UC was at the 2A state tournament in Murphreseborro. Now they are headed to 1A. I really feel sorry for Coach Jim Fishel and all of his new assistants, but I believe Coach Barnes knew when it was time to go... if you know what I mean.

Union City definetly has some of the best facilities. The stadium is great. They have a sideline cover that spreads all the way accross the team box. It is truly one of the best. An indoor turf building, not to mention one of the best weight rooms in the state. UC is one of the luckiest despite there latest records...

I don't think you can keep up with which station has what....I tried listening to what was 101.7 to get a score of the UC and Martin and I think I got the Dresden game last year.. whatever it was..it wasn't the UC at Martin game.. It's really confusing.

I like to listen to that Homefield show on that new "KFKQ"... it's on 99.3... A while back I heard a show and that man told his opinion on the new classification for all of the teams from west TN... From what I remember he got it all right.. He said UC should be a 1A team and now they're 1A, still a little upset about that ... they have a better shot ---- i guess:( i'll miss playing Milan, Huntingdon, Westview, Dresden, Peabody, and Humbolt.. It used to be so competitive. Anyways.. I like Homefield on KF99.

I've heard that the management at Y105 and The Quake are broke. They obviously don't care enough about the community contribute. I listen to Union City play-by-play on WENK. Jim Cawley, Mike, and Art Sparks do a spectacular job, no matter how bad UC gets hammered.... Anyways, before the game they do a Countdown to Kickoff and Hutch from the Messenger is on every week. I am always interested in what he has to say. Plus when the game is over they give updates from other games in the area...

I went to the Union City game at Roth Rock and I don't see what the big deal is. Neither JCM or Milan have the greatest facilities. In Milan, the field is in poor condition and the locker rooms aren't the greatest...... Atleast at JCM, you know that it's "historic."

although UC got killed, i think they'll be fine vs. Memphis Hillcrest... if they had won that game last year it probably would have been a better season. it started things out going down hill.
