Good win tonight for the Eagles. That should get us the region championship and the 1 seed for the region. Great nights for Ethan Davis and LA both I think both were over 145 yards rushing.

Yeah and come out injury free.

Looking pretty good through one half. You can definitely tell there are some players missing for WV.

So Denton is out for tomorrow? That is really going to hurt WV defense.

The only place I’ve seen that is streaming it is NHSF.

Here we go! For all intents and purposes this is for the Region 4-5A title and 1 seed. In what has become a nice little rivalry over the last decade. Walker Valley under Drew Akin has become a solid and competitive team. Rhea comes into the contest winning 7 in a row against WV. Last year was a classic comeback win for the Eagles. This year WV has been up and down. Their defense has solid all year except for their last game against Cleveland. Their offense the last couple of games has been flat, which a little surprising. I think Rhea is playing good but this team has the potential to be even better. They just have to eliminate the bad penalties. Looking forward to to Friday!

At Fort Bluff?

The Lions come to Evensville this Friday coming off a loss to Chatt Central. I know they graduated some good guys that are now playing on Saturday, but they are still a dangerous team that can beat us. We are going to have to play a solid game to win. We definitely can’t be caught looking ahead to next week.

After seeing him in person at oak ridge. He has a nice blend of speed and power. He can definitely run past folks but he is big enough to plow through folks too. He will be one to watch on the next level.

Yeah maybe Passy will comeback one day or drop in when we play his buddy Doug Greene’s team at the end of the year. As for last night. I thought we controlled the game pretty well most of the night. Passing game worked pretty well. Offense and defense were pretty good overall. Still a few small things to clean up but I like how the team is developing as the season is going on.

I’m impressed with Chatt Central so far this year. Coming off a big win over Red Bank last night. This should be a good game.

Rhea County heads over to Ooltewah for an important region game. Rhea is coming off a thrilling win over Anderson Co and Ooltewah had last week off and was dismantled by Walker Valley 2 weeks ago. I know it’s probably going to be a down year for the owls but I do believe they have a good coach in Goose Manning. However with the timing of everything it’s looking like a long year for Ooltewah. I’d say give Goose sometime and I look for Ooltewah to be competitive again.

Man what a game last night. Got a little worried when AC raced out to a 20-0 lead but the guys fought back chipped away at the score and then traded the lead. Then Kaleb fumbled going for extra yards to give AC one more shot and then redemption for Martin picking it off to put the game way. That was just two good teams battling last night.

I hate to hear that. I’m out of town this weekend and was going to watch it on ACTV. I guess I’ll have listen to it.

Murphy is a very talented 1A school. They usually make deep runs in the playoffs. I think they have won 3 out of the last 4 state championships in 1A in NC. I think I read the senior class coming into this season has a record of 33-5 and 2 state titles. South Pittsburg plays them this week in a clash of 1A powerhouses

We do have radio coverage on 101.1 The Eagle. We use to have Rhea Review do the games on YouTube, but that deal fell apart after the 2018 season.

This an intriguing match-up. An explosive high power offense vs a grind it out 5 yds and a cloud of dust offense. Both teams have strong defenses. I think Anderson has the advantage in special teams. I expect this to be an extremely physical game. The difference between the Alcoa game and the McMinn game were night and day. Alcoa is an elite level team but I think Rhea got better by playing them. Just like I hope by playing AC will give our defense a challenge especially in pass defense. We played the pass pretty well in both games so I hope that continues against AC. The thing that has killed Rhea is penalties and stupid penalties at that. If we can eliminate the penalties we should have a good showing.

I can’t remember where I heard it but come playoff time the TSSAA is going to do Go fans for $8 and at the gate for $10

Yeah Sir is an outstanding LB and his little brother Latron is a freshman to watch but he is out with a broken hand. Of course I didn’t know this til after the game but Jordan Harris is a cousin of Sir and LA

I know Bryson Rollins is an outstanding athlete from the last couple seasons, but who else do we need to watch for Friday? The four to watch for Rhea is a pair of Sophomores and Seniors. Sophomores Kaleb Martin QB/S and Ethan Davis RB. Senior Preseason All State selections Drew Fisher LB/TE and Jadden Pankey CB/WR/RB I know I said it over on the other post but we are very young, talented but very young.
