Despite Coffee County's strong showings in spring and fall scrimmages against Riverdale, Cleveland, Smyrna, Tyner, and Wilson Central, no one thinks they will finish better than 4th or 5th? What kind of teams have the other teams in this region scrimmaged?

A reason why CC can win this one is we've seen that CC has the potential to pull the upset (finishing in 3rd after being 7th seed in 8aaa and within a few points of playing for the championship). Its all about emotions in high school bball, as long as the teams are on a pretty even ground as far as talent and i dont know much about Oakland but I know alot about CC and, being led of course by Williams, they have some talent... enough, i think, to be in this game.

I heard that the regions were going to be redone for this next year. Does anybody know anything like what teams are going to be moved to different regions?

Cofee County should have a pretty good team this year. We scrimmage Giles Co. this thursday, so we'll see how we stand.

I think this Coffee County team is one of the best ever. (Which might not mean much since Coffee County isn't normally a b-ball powerhouse). But nonetheless, they've got some pretty good athletes. If they will really put something into this season they could go pretty far.

Just wondering, Wingman: What all have you heard about the rumored new regions?

Jake Nunley: 5'11" 195 Lbs. About 4.7-40 time Sees holes very well. The old cliche- If you give him an inch, he'll take a mile. Hard runner. He can punish you. He has good breakaway speed.

I'm not sure where guywithbigfeet was going with that one. But look, in case you all have forgotten, Coffee County went through a stretch of something like 5 years with a total of 7 wins. Price rolls in and we win 7 games in '03 and go to the playoffs. 6 games in '04 and go to the playoffs. So anybody that says Price is even just a pretty good coach is wrong! Price is an excellent coach! He brings alot of energy to the weight room, the practice field, the community, and most importantly the game field. Now about the game, Coffee County certainly has a good shot. They are streaky and they're carrying a pretty good streak into this games. We'll have alot of fans. How big is the visitors side in lebanon? We had about 3/4 or more of the Lincoln County Visitors filled. Thats a big place.

There's no one in the state of Tennessee right now who would beat Riverdale. There's no way they're not #1.

Thank you, Nolesfan, for clearing up the fact that jake had 233 yards against Cumberland. I don't know where badblood gets his stats. I support Jake. I think he works as hard as anyone in the state and deserves every honor given to him. Another thing, Wingman, when Jake played in region 2, he was a sophomore and was more a defensive player than a rb.

You mean Coffee County, right? Coffee County will have a lot of momentum going in to this game especially since it's at home. Trust me they definitely haven't forgotten about what happened last year! I want to also throw out there that Cumberland County did a good job with their field, considering the amount of rain. The field was still in pretty good shape.

I didn't even realize Nunley had that many yards. But he had a couple of breakout runs so i guess he did. Vandegriff, Anderson, and Drake did play very well, keeping the Cumberland Co. backs in check. I know Hartsfield had a great pass reception for 60+? yards. He ran for about 55 or them through a lot of traffic.

What a game! for us fans who drove 2 hours to watch our Raiders play. What are some of yall's thoughts about it?

At Coffee County, we just added a bullhorn to our arsenal. The thing about our student section is that it doesn't matter whether we are playing at home or in Cookeville or anywhere else. We still have good numbers and definitely loudness.

Coffee County is DUE! A couple of points stand between us and 3-0. The Raiders are about to get hot. Cumberland Co. better watch out because it could begin this week. As soon as we get this D figured out. Watch out for Coffee as the season progresses.

Yeah.. stuff like this really makes me mad. I go to Coffee County . I love my school and my city and I am there at every friday night for the football game- not to cause trouble, which was all these folks were doing. None of these people did anything out of loyalty to anything. They are just ignorant and want to cause trouble. Don't think that all of us down here in Manchester are like that. It is a very small majority and they give us a bad rep when they pull stuff like this.

Give Coffee County some credit... they went up to cookeville and played a very solid cavs team right to the very end... the way they fought back after being down 22-0 in the first half.... this team has some heart and I predict they beat Cumberland County next week and pull off a win over either Franklin Co. or Lincoln Co.
