  1. Hey Rocking Chair, are you online? Going to the store, be back in five.
  2. You have made a lot of since in your posts that I have been reading. And you seem to know an awful lot about everything, like the school enrollment numbers and the outlook on all the classes and regions. Is this public information that you are getting this stuff or are you in a position where you are capable of finding out these things, and do I know you. Hey SC7, do i know this person? I do have one question, and I could probably find out from a better source, but what is the region smith county will be in probably going to look like? I know that have not decided for sure, but there must be some speculation.
  3. Hey Bod I am lobbying for this new region classification, check it out: LA, Smith, Macon, Portland, York, and Trousdale stays put. Upperman and Jackson moves down because of enrollment size. Smith and Trousdale should move down as well because of enrollment size, but they should be able to compete in this region year in and year out. Dekalb and Cannon moves somewhere because they are south of I-40. Add White House and Greenbriar. Drumroll please....... LA, Smith, Macon, Portland, York, Trousdale, White House, and Greenbriar. All schools are familiar with each other having played one another several times in the past twenty or thirty years. They are all north of I-40 and the farthest drive is York to White House, just a little over two hours. This would also give the schools three non region games to schedule so teams could play teams that they were acustomed to playing before the last region classification and give the players a break as far as playing region matchups every week. This is probably the toughest region pound for pound that I have ever seen, but it would be exciteing football seasons. That is dreaming but I think it would be pretty cool. Reality is Smith, Trousdale, Jackson, Upperman, and Cannon will all be playing in 2a. More than likely the new region 4-3a would go like this: LA, Pearl Cohn, Macon, David Lipscomb, White House, Station Camp, and Dekalb. Tell me what you think! See if you can find out anymore about this topic!
  4. I just wish that region 4-3a could stay the same. For once, I have never seen a region so well put together. I think TSSAA done a wonderful job putting that region together. I know that every three years they relook at everything, but I wish they could leave this one alone for a while . Livingston Academy, Trousdale County, Portland, Smith County, York, Macon County, Dekalb County, Jackson County, Upperman, and Cannon County. There is a long trip or two, like from York to Cannon, almost three hours, and York to Portland which is around two hours. If anything let Cannon move and invite White House in. That would be the toughest region pound for pound that I would have ever seen, but here is the barn burner. They are all public schools and all have played each other before. I don't think Upperman and Jackson County would share the same excitement as I do, but it is still a great region. Here is something to think about? Livingston, Smith, Portland, White House, York, Macon, Greenbriar, Trousdale. All schools are north of I-40 and they're enrollment cant be too far away from one another. That is a tough region, uh?
  5. I cannot believe you didn't respond to my last post. I just knew you would have something to say. So what! Macon County had a descent football team a year ago, and went to the semi finals of playoffs. You have reached a huge mark in school history we all know. That sure was a nice memory for the Macon County Faithful. See how many years it will take you all to do it again. About friday night, the tigers are outmatched in every aspect, except for the fans, you all have loud fans, yeah, thats about it. Dynamite, I love responding to your post. You leave the door wide open.
  6. I really hope I am wrong. Please tell me that you are not aplayer that is asking about a game so far away. Unbelievable.
  7. As far as fans go I bet anything that LA fans cheer twice as loud as SC's fans do, and we bring large numbers to our games. I coulnt agree with you more
  8. Man, Goolsby lover, didn't mean to pinch a nerve. You must be his little buddy! Or possibly him! I like Goolsby alot, but as far as him being a winning coach. Never! As for Wilmore, you know the stats pretty well. You must be proud of the 58 that you held him to. I would be. The facts of this subject is: He rushed for over 2000 last year in 13 games. Drumroll please.....over 150 yards per game average. 10 yard average against the big LA. So what if he had 40 carries in some games. Here is the barnburner!! It sure says alot about a player who can play ever single down in a game, and play as effectively as he has. Webster's would classify him as a workhorse! I can't get over how tough and in shape he is. Good running back? I would say so! He can tote that rock! Enough on stud. Now on Macon winning friday night! I don't think so! You would need all 50 seniors that graduated last year to come back. I think it is great how you are so encouraged by the fact that macon can win. Now, go out there and coach that defense and prove to all those people in Macon and Smith how big of a winner you are!
  9. About the skirts, I thought that was funny as well. LA did what it took to win the game. Whatever it took. Played with more heart this week. Great win forthe big blue train. Discipline is still a question mark. How many times were they drawn offsides. Get in the ballgame. They will be steam rolling by playoffs. Would really hate to see what they COULD do to SC.
  10. I went to both games last year and of course was upset off of the outcome. It is still hard to swallow a 50 yard field goal! I hope Smith County comes out and plays up to their potential and I will be glad to bring Goolsby back down to earth. His head was as big as a basketball after last years outcome. Go owls!
  11. Your the man LA Wildcat. So tell me. What are your comments about the game? We didn't have much time to talk Friday night. I think you were a little upset and that is understandable. That place definitely looked better than the years when we both played SC. We beat them too! hahaha What do you think the key to game was!
  12. When would you have talked trash to me. I am alot older than you and never played any kind of sport with you or against you. You might not know who I am after all. But you do know me!
  13. chillin if you play, then maybe you should practice holding on to that pigskin! You know that is a vital part of a football game. That just goes to show you how ready you were to play football. Besides you fumbled just inside the 35! Smith through an interception at their 40. What is the difference? The difference is once again you need to go back to the practice field. While you all are there, see if you can find your heart.
  14. Definitely should be considered! We should campaign for that on coacht! olsc7 ask coach gentry who i am?
  15. You say you played for LA, well then be glad you didn't go to the game. You would have been very dissappointed. Yeah, they had three turnovers, (same as SC) but in the 4th they had a good chance to win, actually a great chance to win, but they folded and I never thought I would see that. They simply don't have enough heart!! Makes me sick! No heart and out of shape!
  16. You can't beat him!!! Is the bod anywhere around here?
  17. I played football, I graduated the same year, but did not graduate with you. You know who I am if you played football for LA. I think I know who you are anyway. Are you in the inner circle?
  18. I did not say that I pull for LA and LA only! You never heard me say that. I agree, LA has to prove that they are worthy, but what I said, they are supposed to be able to prove it. They are as good or better at most positions, with lots of experience. You are JH, and I can not tell you anymore for reasons of my own! I will see you at the game Friday Night if you are there and I will reveal myself then. Let me just say that I am not from Carthage, nor have I ever lived there, but I know as much about SC football as you do the last 5 or so years. I saw you at the White House/SC scrimmage this fall. If you know who I am, don't reveal my identity on here.
  19. Interested to know who you are, I probably know you WELL!
  20. Smith County does have lots of experience and talent, but LA PROBABLY has a little more. Yes, I know that Silcox has started every game of his career! You see, you do not realize that I really follow SC. They do have backs that are as good as Wilmore, but they do not carry the load as he does. Not a big advantage as far as receivers for either team. As far as linebackers are concerned they could be better. Losing Hix in SC LB core is huge. Each team has valid points! But if you look at the teams from the outside view, there are some advantages! The test for both teams will be who controls the line of scrimmage. And I don't really know who is better in that position. I guess we will see tomorrow night.
  21. [quote= I love HS football I thought you were being impartial in this one and your saying that LA is and was better than us(SC) if a they were better than us last year they would have beat us. There is something I don't understand! I know who you are, if you follow SC football it is not hard with your username being what it is to figure it out. You of all people on these message boards from SC should know first hand how LA is supposed to win the game Friday Night. You and I have a similar source. Everybody else on here might not know any better, but you should. You know me and I know you. So the thing is, you either enjoy talking trash, (as so did I when I was playing ball), or you really just don't know how good LA should be. I am impartial, kinda. I want both teams to win for different reasons. I would like to see one particular team win, but I will not say who, because I am sure there are readers that know who I am, so it is best for me to make general obvious statements.
  22. Again, BigOwlFan. I am impartial! And I understand what you are saying about LA thinking they are now all of a sudden world beaters! But the truth is, they have the talent and capability of being that team, they have just not done a very good job of proving it. They really are the best team in the region as far as talent and experience goes, but that is not what wins the games. So, if they do not come out and prove it, then the point I made is not valid. Just because they are suppose to win region does not, of course, mean they will. What I am saying in short, If LA comes out Friday night and plays ball up to their capability, then they SHOULD beat SC. I just hope to see a good game!
