I didnt come up with much D1, but maybe it will get your thread sarted. Crockett, and Volunteer have already been giving Region 2 4A some gimme games for a couple years. Brainerd is also 4A already and a non factor. I remember when Sulivan North was in our Region 1 and had couple of mediocre teams. All their potential players end up at DB. So, they will never be factor. Lenoir and Walker Valley? I dont have a clue. If Lenoir ends up in Region 3 they will be hating life for ever. Walker Valley may have better luck in Region 4, I'm guessing that's where they would end up. South Doyle, previously 5A, looks like they will fit nicely around the middle of your Region 3. So my vote goes to them. What do ya think? BTW when is Maryville going 5A? I dont reckon that will happen before Thanksgiving weekend

Someone said in a post on another thread that he injured his left hand during the Johnson County game and that it may require surgery. I wish somebody would verify what's going on. Then again its probably strategy that noone knows.

I agree concerning the Melrose score..........too high. More like Melrose 14, JCM 0 I also have a feeling that Elizabethton will beat Sullivan East. Everythig else looks good though thumb

Mo West was by far the best team the Vikings have faced all season. Big, fast O and D lines. They kept our defense spread out with short passes and had real success running up the middle. Penalties and turnovers killed them. I'm glad we got them in the first round. They would only be tougher in the later rounds. Very surprising team. Congratulations to the rest of the Mountain Lakes Conference. I wonder if this is a first. All 4 region 1 teams winning in the first round of playoffs?

I got Melrose taking them out in the semis.

Wouldn't it be cool if we could all just get along. Hey, and maybe we could get some useful information (from a fan's percpective) about each others teams. As a Viking alum, it gets pretty old having all the THS relative threads hijacked by Maryville trash talkers. Especially when 99.9% of 'em dont know a thing about our team. I'm sure that at least 99.9% of the Viking fans, including me, dont know anything about the Rebels. There are all these comparisons about strength of schedule, school football history, yada, yada, yada. We are talking about High School Football, 14 to 18 year old kids. The only thing that can be compared is the coaching staffs. That's pretty much the only constant. Last years team was "rebuilding" or last years team graduated 12 seniors. Last years team is at most similar to this years team regardless if you #1 Maryville (AP) or #60 something Volunteer. Hopefully we can settle it on the field, if we make it that far. And if Tennessee High happens to be the better team that night, I sure hope that the Maryville peeps can step up show a little respect to our team. My money says they wont. :justwrestle: Now, let the trash talking resume. thumb
