  1. Bradley's enrollment for 2004 was 1597. Evidently what you looked at was from the 70's. Catholics schedule may have been a joke to you but any person with a analitical mind could look at the margin of victory over the so called "jokes" as you say and determine Catholic to be a very well coached team with some very good players. I was there and saw the scrimmage. You on the other hand, you are like a worn out hound dog. Too blind to see and barking up a tree where there is nothing but leaves.
  2. Here are the 04 results Hampton W 40-6 Father Ryan W 20-13 Pope John Paul II R W 26-13 Chuckey-Doak W 70-7 at Notre Dame R W 42-7 Wartburg W 42-21 BGA R W 49-13 at North Greene W 65-19 Knoxville Webb R W 27-21 Notre Dame L 28-35
  3. Personally I think Ooltewah will have a great season this year. AS far as Bradley's freshmen team last year there were a lot of issues that led to half the team quiting. Whole new coaching staff should eliminate all of that. Twice as many out for freshmen ball. I expect to loose a few this week after the hitting starts. Still should be much improved over last year. Good luck to the guys at Ooltewah this year. Just beat Oak Ridge for us.
  4. No one said Bradley's freshmen would play varsity. It is just the opposite. Look for the Bears to peak in 3 years. Football teams seem to cycle every several years. Not many years ago Ooltewah was considered a gimme game and Bradley was top of the heap. Things change. Look for an already tough region to get even tougher in the next few years.
  5. Freshmen 6-8 PM Varsity 7:30-10:30PM Haven't heard times for the scrimmage Friday Aug. 5th @ BCHS
  6. I don't play football either anymore, I now get to watch my son play and yes there are (2) freshmen 6-5. one weighs 260 the other 245. Watched them both in practice this week. Now add the other 6 or 7 that are over 6' and 200lbs and you get BB04's drift. (Huge)
  7. Bradley has 7 region games then picks up Cleveland and Walker Valley for the big gate from cross town rivals. that only leaves 1 open date. The next two season will be with Warren County who called wanting the game filling out the 10 game season.
  8. I was refering to Bradleys head coach from last year. Dean Ratledge. Great guy just not head coach material or offensive coordinator.
  9. As you can tell from my name I'm a Bradley fan. Let me be the first to let you know that the days of option left, option right and waggle are gone. Bradley will not be a push over this year. They won't be great but will be competetive. Ootewah looked very good last year with such a young team. With the maturity of another year they should be great. I look for them to compete with OR for the region and I think they are hungry enough to take it. The only negative I see from Ool. is that I heard they hired our head coach from last year as an asst. Just a word of advice, don't let him call the offense. Belly option right 4 times strait and about 35 plays a game doesn't work.
  10. Polk brings nearly everyone back this year from a good team last year. Polk wins the region
  11. Who mentioned Bradley specifically. I believe I stated 2 5A. 1. East Ridge dropped to 3A and Bradley picked up Walker Valley who moved to 4A this year. Warren Co. called wanting the game with BC so the Red Bank game was dropped.
  12. anyone in region 2 5A has a tough schedule. They have three of the top teams in the state in it. ( Oak Ridge, Ooltewah and Soddy Daisey)
  13. BCrising

    5A Champion

Why was Ooltewah and Soddy Daisey left off the poll. They are better that several of the teams listed.
  14. Bradley Central's uniforms will be identical to Georgia Tech this year.
  15. BCrising

    Polk County

Wildcats will be good this year. There program has been building up for several years. Look for them to peak in the 05 season. The voluntary move to 3A will only help there future
  16. Bradley Central has a 6'5" 350lb junior this year and two freshmen both 6'4". One weighs 260 and the other 245
  17. 1. Ooltewah 2. Oak Ridge 3. Soddy 4. Farrugut 5. WB 6. Bradley 7. Heritage 8. McMinn
  18. Heath6988, we welcome your opinions. put them down 1 thru 8 and at the end of season we can see who did the best.
  19. This is strictly guesstimation but here it goes. 1. Ooltewah Lots of returning players and good head coach 2. Oak Ridge Always a power house 3. Soddy Daisey Talented with a good coach 4. Farragut Puts up good teams year after year 5. William Blount Look for improvement 6. Bradley Central Look for lots of improvement with new coaches and faces 7. Heritage ?????? 8. McMinn Most of the coaching staff left, lots of turmoil surrounding athletics Don't tear in to me too bad now, it's just a guesstimation
  20. Bigins right, Rhea should be in there some where. What in the world is Walker Valley doing in the top ten.
  21. I really don't have an iron in the fire @ McMinn but just noticed in the post you said sand on the "football field". These fields need maintenance this time of year. They should already have weed emergence and fertilizer on them. Soccer destroys fields by pounding the grass into the mud before it has time to green. Many schools have built seperate fields for the two sports. That way they each have recovery time during off season. I'm sure they could tear up some of that big parking lot for a field. I'm not critisizing, just hit me after reading this tread. Hope you find some quality coaches. Met Coach Bennett yesterday, seems like a really good guy.
