Ptguard, Finished the reg season 3rd.... We are good enough to beat anyone but bad enough to lose to anyone... If we shoot the ball decent i like our chances to go pretty far because we usually can D anyone up... I will see you either at region , sub state or state or all the above.

WOW... Coach Byrd is my hero... He is a great coach and a better man.... Hey pointguard ,,, HOW many of those 600 wins was from your teams????? Tell Byrd i am only 575 wins away from him. He better watch out.. ha ha

Heath Hardin was their best player.. He won Mr. Basketball that year! They a great left-handed player and a great shooter. Very fun team to watch!! They had a great coach in John Wild.. Could be wrong but i think that they beat COSBY?????

Moore County won the State Championship in 1999!!!

Wayne County has been to the state so many times i heard that the Murphy Center will be renamed the BYRDS NEST!!!!!..... WOW,, that was pretty corny!!!! Anyway, YES, i will be there ptguard but i will not be doing any of that C-A-T-S, CATS, CATS, CATS cheering.. Reminds me too much of Kentucky....... I will be pulling for my mentor Coach Byrd though!!!!

Thelma is trying to run a county... She is too HIGHCLASS for us education people!!! I hope the Cats make it to state. I would love to see you and your husband next week!!! The minivan story brings back great memories!!! ha ha

HEY OLD FRIEND!!!!!! DOnt know about you ptguard but i could not even tell you where my all-district and all-region awards are... More than lately in a box in my parents basement.(I know all of your awards could not even fit into one box like mine).. BUt i know exactly where my teams District and REgion Championship banners are located!!!! In my perfect world there would be no all-district or all-region teams. I just feel real uneasy about giving individual awards in a team sport. I am also trying to get something started next year at my school. I dont like it that only the starters get their names called out.. WHy do 5 out of 15 kids get their names announced. I am trying to pursued my principal to buy into the idea of annnouncing everybodies name before every home game next year!!!!... Just my opinion... Lets go to VEGAS again!!!! -Ptguard---youre my HERO!!!!!

Congrats to Abby for this great honor. There are hundreds of thousands young ladies that play high school ball across our nation. So to get nominated out of a huge number like that is an amazing accomplishment. It could not happen to a better person. She is one of the most talented yet humble young ladies that i have ever met....... I cant wait to see her wear Lady Raiders Blue!!!!!

I totally agree. if they don't give Austin a serious look this time they will miss the boat. He is a great person, motivator and the main reason Cascade has been able to do the things they do. He is the strength and conditioning coach and his program is second to none in Region 5-A. I'm not sure why Moore Co. doesn't hire home town people. It looks to me that if they would, they could find someone to be loyal and build a relationship with the kids. This would allow the old Moore Co. pride back in the program. Austin could do this, kids love him and follow his lead. Whoever gets the job, I hope can pick up were the last coaching staff left off and continue to raise the level of play.

Congrats to Abby and her wonderful family... I feel blessed to call them all friends. I will definitely be at every MTSU home game the next 4 years!!!!!!!!

Northside is a very average team to be in the state championship game. THere strength is definately their rebounding. #00 is the key. SHe had probably 25 points and 15 rebounds last night. #23 is there best guard. She can shoot the 3 and is good at taking it to the hole. #24 is their best athlete. She is a good rebounder and runs the floor well. She can take it off the dribble and post up in the lane. Is Riverdale better? Absolutely yes.... Unless Anne Marie goes on vacation the Lady Warriors will be the 2007 Class AAA State Champions.!!!!!!!!!!
