  2. We still need 3, maybe 4 games for 2013. The list I saw on teams REFUSING to play us is rediculous.
  3. Train, YES! Tell other teams our faults, NO! Anyway I had the great pleasure of meeting Coach Ryan from Walker Valley this past Sunday at my sons middle school footbal banquet. We talked about the success of Pirate Football and the direction Walker Valley is heading. He is very excited to have me on board coming from a great program in South Pittsburg. I will be very active in the booster club and the football team. Hopefully my enthusiasm for the game will carry over to some of the parents already there. Roy, Coach Ryan is very interested in having you read to him from your Murphy Fair Book to teach him about all the 6A Teams he will have to play next year. But of course that means you either finding your book or getting a new one soon. He definately said he will turn in his survey for you!! Oh yeah, remember, I KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!
  4. Yep and it worked!!! Coalfield upset Greenback!! Job well done!! lol!! Hopefully you have learned your lesson on telling those coaches how to beat our Pirate team with the onside kicks!! You cost us several victories this year and home field advantage.
  5. This has the makings of a great semifinal game!! Just might have to make the trip up to see this one!! Go Bucs!
  6. Yep I will be there! Looking forward to doing my part!
  7. Yep I was wrong but it was still my opinion and the opinion of many others! Again congrats on the win!
  8. Congrats to your son! I know you are proud!
  9. Congrats Coalfield on a great win! Gordy leads Eagleville 14 to 13 in the 4th
  10. Best of luck Warriors. Play smart, play hard for 4 quarters. Leave it all on the field tonight. Give it your best and hopefully bring back a win. Someone please keep the board updated with scores. Thanks!
  11. He wants to go play for the Pirates really bad and I would love that, but circumstances at this time do not allow.
  12. My oldest son that you met at the Grace Christian/Greenback game will be a Freshman at Walker Valley next year. Will be spending friday nights at the Corral instead of the PITT.
  13. That explains his silence!! Toot toot!! lol
  14. Where's traintracks??? I bet he has Roy's book! He seems to be keeping real silent through all this mess. We all need to help ole Roy out!!
  15. Roy, with peglegs history of flying planes, one crashed in South Pitt and the other in Ooltewah, I don't think the wife would go for that. I will however, make sure the coach turns in his survey. Heck, I might even get you a formal invite up to the Corral to read your book to these people.
  16. My vision to the program begins in 2013. I understand the fuss about schedules and all that mess but you play the games you have and try to win as many as possible. With the recent losing seasons this school has endured, the need to schedule games you can win was needed to help instill confidence and excitement back into the program. With the playoff appearance this year, that has been done. Now let's talk about where it leads from here. What school do you follow?
  17. Yep, first one to hit the high school ranks. He has begged us to move back to So Pitt and let him play there but it is just not possible right now. Time will tell though!! Thank You!!
  18. As you can see by my name, I am a South Pittsburg Pirate Alum and have closely followed Pirate football over the years. Now I embark on a new journey. My son will be a freshman at Walker Valley next year and will become a member of the Mustang football team. The future at Walker Valley looks very bright building on a successful 2012 season. Would like to get everyone's thoughts on the upcoming year. Not sure how many people actually post on a Mustang thread but I hope to really get it up and going and do my part to help enhance the excitement of Mustang Football. Looking forward to some great memories at the Corral.
  19. It's gonna be a different excitement for me next year on Friday Nights. With my son about to be a freshman at Walker Valley High School, I am eagerly anticipating his first year of high school football. His love of the sport has grown over the last 4 or 5 years while making the trip every Friday with me to support the Pirates. His middle school football team this year at Ocoee finished the season 8 and 1, losing only in the season finale to Dalton. The tears he shed after that game brought out an emotional side of the game I hadn't seen in him yet. Most of the boys from his team are attending Walker Valley so the future is definately bright for the Mustangs. All my fellow Coach T friends will have to keep me updated during Pirate games next year while I embark on a journey to make Walker Valley Football much more relevant on Coach T. Go Pirates and Mustangs
