  1. Let us all remember what happened last time Maryville came to Morristown West overconfident as they were... Happy Day
  2. As much as I hate to admit it, MoWest is darn good. They ran the ball right down our throats and there was nothing we could do to stop them. I am sure that Maryville thinks they have seen power running this year, but they haven't. These three backs for MoWest are bigger than anyone expects them to be. No, they aren't overly fast... but it doesn't matter when you can't tackle them. 5 yards here, 6 yards there... it's not pretty, but it gets the job done. MoWest has one fullback that is an absolute beast, he is a man among boys, seriously. He plows the holes while the 6'3" 225 lb. tailback runs through the holes breaking tackles and picking up 10 yds. at a time. If Maryville can last an entire game without giving out after battling these beasts... then I give them much credit. But I do not feel that they can do it. Granted, MoWest does not have an overly strong defense at all, and Maryville will score many points I am sure... but not as many as the power running of Mowest. These are seasoned college sized boys playing against boys half their size, it doesn't seem fair. I would not say this if I didn't think it was true. I felt the same way going into the MoWest/Tn high game... Yea, yea, their backs are huge... so what. Well let me tell you, they are bigger than you think, and you can't stop them... not for an entire game, it's not possible for a high school team. You add that on top of the fact that Maryville is scared to play in MoWest, and you have a Mowest victory by a touchdown or more. I don't even give many teams credit. For example, 2004's Maryville team was unstoppable, and I tip my hat to them. MoWest's running backs for 2005 are also unstoppable, and I tip my hat to them as well. Now if Maryville can figure out how to allow the backs to do what they're going to do, but somehow put up a high scoring game.... then maybe, just maybe, they can pull it off with some Maryville magic. Never underestimate Maryville, I have learned that. Good luck to both teams, but my money is on the three freakin horses of MoWest.
  3. This is a ridiculously ignorant statement. Of course Tennessee High would not have done that well... because they are 4A! Tennessee High is playing where they are because of the amount of students, now if they had more students then they would also have more athletes, and yes, they would represent the area better than Dobyns Bennett and a team from this area would finally get past Oak Ridge! But obviously they are only 4A, and in the past few years have dominated the area at this level. And yes, Maryville put a very bad beating on them last year, but they were not 49-0 better than Tennessee High, not that it matters now. That Maryville team went on to win the state championship, Oak Ridge got beat the next game.
  4. Actually, not to take sides because I did not appreciate Jhites post, but Tenn High lasted longer in the playoffs than DB last year.
  5. The only teams that Tennessee High has had a high degree of trouble with, excluding Dobyns Bennett, are teams that have a very good passing game. My understanding is that MoWest has NO passing game. If this is the case then I feel very good about the game Friday night. This Tennessee High team has played progressively better and they are night and day difference between now and the DB game. Tenn. has a two edged sword with their passing and running at this point in the season. We have one of the best receivers in the state of Tennessee that no one knows about, but MoWest will see his moves come Friday. I know for a fact that no one has seen anyone of his calibre this entire year. His name is Deshaud Johnson (unsure of the spelling), either way everyone will know his name come Friday about 10:00 when he has juked kids out of their cleats. I know everyone whines about the officiating, but this is a substantiated case and anyone on either side of the field would say the same thing about last week's game. What I am referring to is 4, yes 4, touchdowns called back on extremely questionable calls that were away from the play and had no bearing on the touchdown. If even two of these flags were kept in the pockets of these idiotic men, the score would have gotten very ugly. This does not bear too well on MoWest's showing against Cherokee if using head to head match ups as a measuring tool. One final note, before the season began, Tenn high scrimmaged Daniel Boone. Even with all of the inexperience on the Viking squad, they still handed it to Daniel Boone. Since then, this team has improved immensely. You have to remember that last year's 13-1 team was mostly seniors, so these kids are just now playing together well as a team. Having said that, my point is that Daniel Boone was beating Morristown West at halftime, at least that is my understanding and please correct me if I am wrong. But stupid mistakes by coaches and players by Daniel Boone gave the game away to MoWest. Conclusion: Morristown West's 11-0 record is extremely misleading as they have played in a weaker conference than Tenn. high (usually the other way around though). Also, Tenn. High has played 3 tough opponents who have prepared them for battle, whereas MoWest toughest game was a weaker Knox West team. Tenn High 31 MoWest 17
  6. Look how long I've been a member loser, it looks like you're trying to copy me...
  7. This has got to be a joke, heavy hitters??? Are you sure you got the same kids??? They can hit, occasionally... but heavy hitters they are not.
  8. Yeah, that's right, they CHOKED! Way to go Temple, you blew it for everybody!
  9. I knew Temple would choke, hey, way to blow it guys!
  10. Siegel is not even that good, and this whole Siegel Nation thing is a bunch of loser kids who think they're cool cause they wear those shirts. If you were really cool, you might have made the team. Siegel is definitely getting bounced in the first game, and then all the Siegel fans are gonna get on here and whine about the refs, just like everybody else who has felt the wrath of our defense. Sorry Siegel, it's time to go home.
  11. I'm tired of seein all the Siegel fans talkin about how their team is the best thing since sliced bread. I got news for ya, they haven't seen a defense yet like they will be seeing come tomorrow night. All the fans are trying to imitate these big college programs by wearing your Siegel Nation shirts, and thinking you're real cool... what a joke, give it up, you're terrible. I've heard all about Jimmy this, Jimmy that, I finally got to see some film on Jimmy... my analysis, he's poop. Oh, and "Air" Ramsey, he's terrible too, but at least he's tall. You don't really have a chance, just go home. You've never played in front of the big crowds like we have, you can't handle the pressure. I can't wait to see all the crying faces of the Siegel fans as their beloved players let them all down. See ya at the game punks.
  12. Sounds like to me that somebody is a little scared to go to the game now that people know you are just a little punk kid. Everybody knows who you are and what you look like... I may not even bother with going over there to take care of you, I may just send my daughter, but wait, you're already cookin up some scam so that you won't have to show your face. HA! Now go ahead, let's hear your childish comeback. Oh yeah, don't even know the vfanatic, it's just that everybody else realizes you're a loser too.
  13. Maybe you didn't meet the weight limit?
  14. I'm surprised that you think his garbage is talent? Maybe you're his dad? Or maybe there is some other shirtless celebrating that we don't know about...
  15. I see that you don't deny the fact that you are indeed a scrawny punk? This must be how you vent your angers after you get beat up every day by the very people you obsess over. Remember, boys are supposed to like girls...
  16. You must feel big and bad behind your computer RRaider. I heard that you were just a skinny little punk that I could fart and knock over. This person told me that you were a scrawny 120 lb. weakling that could never play football, but you are in the stands with a football helmet and your shirt off (must be embarassing). It seems like you are a little boy obsessed with some of your classmates, maybe you're a little "funny", if you know what I mean. I would love to see you say some of this stuff to my face, or any of the player's face. You would probably cry like a little girl. I really hope I find you on Friday, but I bet you don't show up.
  17. So you're telling me that this kid talking all this trash is just a scrawny little punk... HAHAHA! I'd love to see him say anything to somebody's face! I bet he's probably peeing himself right now! I hope I see you this Friday, that is if you even show up.
  18. I have something to say to Matt Stickley! Tackle somebody please. I know you are a senior and all, but please just wrap up when you tackle. Has no one told you that football is not a beauty contest, and it's not about how you look out there. Stop prancing around and hit somebody! If you don't, then I think everyone in Bristol knows what should be done: put in the guy who should be the starter anyway! Who's that? That's right, Matt Fleenor!
  19. I agree with you 100% BVD. Some of the Vikings looked like they traded in their pads for some skirts last Friday night. I couldn't tell if Stickley and Wilson were playing football or tiptoeing through the tulips. They need to either start laying hits, or find somebody that will!
  20. The rain is going to be only a slight factor and may slow down the viking train just a notch, but not enough to give South a chance. Champions: Tennessee High!
  21. This game will be a repeat of before. How can anyone forget a 52-7 old fashioned take em out to the woodshed whoopin!
  22. I have heard that Maryville has a hard time stopping the run mainly due to a slow linebacker group. Which are they better at, stopping runs up the middle or to the outside?
  23. Just wait and see, the numbers do not lie! Check the stats, points scored, rankings, etc. This is a new year, MoWest closed the door on the Region 3 era, now it will belong to Region 1 and 2 for the next 4 or 5 years!
