B/c just like marco- they played against extremely weak competition all year...and because seth is better.... The state records that seth broke were set by the all-time leading wr at memphis- who I think played for the lions for a year and then got cut..... he was only 5'8'' or 5'9''- which is a tough size for the NFL- but he could obviously catch...His records will fall....but it may be a while...

Or maybe you make up reasons for why your team got drubbed by little ole temple... and then shalacked by Gordonsville... Your talk about skogen's push-offs show what a relativistic person you are....you could also say that SP beat temple this year....but we all know it's not true you just made it up in your head!!! Joey Skogen from temple has got to be mentioned... he averages over 10 yards a carry he has over 1,000 yards rushing in the regular season with 11 or 12 tds. He also has 4 tds and around 300 yrds in two post season games. He racked up 192 the first game and 106 against Trousdale in the 2nd game. Kid has speed and great vision- he also plays receiver and has great hands...

you forgot about the kid who ran for over 100 yards and 2td's against TC....#5!!!

Hey HOWLINGCREEKBANK, quit complaining. You guys lost, leave it at that. Don't take ur anger out on everybody else. You guys got beat by a team with 23 players who has only had a program for 4 years. (Maybe that is why he is so mad) You guys are supposed to be this huge powerhouse, and you guys got beat by a team who doesnt even have a fieldhouse. I hate that we have to listen to SP and TC cry about skogen pushing off...simply b/c he dominates ya'll you try to take away from him as a player and give his success to the refs....quite pathetic actually...maybe your just mad b/c you LOST!! give credit where credit is due... that is what good sportsmanship is all about....you wanna talk about awful calls...how about the no call defensive pass interference in the end zone...how about the block in the back on the kick off return that was bogus and the block in the back they called at the line of scrimmage which didn't exist....Temple had more penalities on bogus calls for more yards.... and SP shouldn't talk about the bad officiating at their game with temple cause they got blown out- not like the game was close or anything....

Skogen is hands down the best player in tn 1a.... push-offs??? are you kidding? he didn't push off at all he just out jumped and out muscled TC for 2 huge receptions!! Little skogen isn't bad either.... Personally (and all the TC fans can cry about it after I say it) I thought temple did not play well....3 turnovers and 3 or 4 times deep in the red zone and could not get in....I think that Temple is better than the way they played and I hope they play the way they can next week...

I think that Coach Beard from Tn Temple should get coach of the year. 4th year of having a program they are currently 11-0. THey were picked 4th in the region- finished 1st and drilled powerhouse SP 53-20. They have only been eligible to compete for a region champ for 2 years and are the 3-1a champions!! They won their first playoff game in school history after only 2 years of playing in the playoffs. What that 1a school has been able to accomplish is amazing. COach beard 1a coach of the year hands down!!!!

How amazingly unbiased of you!!!!! (sarcasm) Skogen has 81 receptions 1600+ yards 22 rec tds- 2 defensive tds and 1 passing td averaging around 150+ yards a game- around 20 yrds per rec. If the tssaa website is up to date skogen will after this season hold 5 of the 9 receiving records in the ENTIRE STATE and is second in yrds in a game with 311....

I am pretty sure that the taft game was played while Josh Smith- #44 was on cruches on the sideline.... so yea the weakness was at middle linebacker..b/c one of the best MLB in the state wasn't there... Gut wrench Gary- I hope you do give that tape of the taft game to satterfeild... and he thinks "we can run up the middle" b/c unlike the taft game #44 will be there to knock some people out....and ask the TC kids/fans what they think of #44- they know he can play- he was killin people on both sides of the ball despite the blowout last year...and he is sooo much bigger and stronger now....yea so give that tape to TC- that would deffinately be to temple's advantage....

I agree with 1A fan- marco is a great back- qb actually.... but he only runs.... and as for marco getting hurt- from what I read he cramped up he was not hurt or injured....

Does gordonsville have athletes and any speed? Regardless of how big g-ville is and how hard they hit and how strong they are- you can't hit, pound, crush, or beat on what you can't catch...Temple is not as athletic as SP by any means but they deffinately have some athletes..... if G-ville is slack in the speed and athlete department SP will win...

What kind of offense will TC run? That is assuming that the loss of their qb affects them in some way.... did they pass- will the 3rd string be able to pass?

Actually temple has had a varsity schedule for 4 years....they have only been eligible for the playoffs and been playing as a part of region 3 for two years.... Skogen should be nominated for mr. football. He is mr. do it all In a 53-20 win over #2 in the state South Pittsburg he had 130+ yards receiving on 7 rec. and 3 receiving tds.--- he also threw for a 35yrd td pass, and stripped the quarterback and ran the ball 45 yards in for a td.... 5 tds in one game and a pretty big game at that... He is the #4 ranked team in the states go to guy and he has yet to be stopped or even slowed down....

WHAT A GAME- thought temple might pull it out- congrats to SP- they have a great ground game- Josh smith- played great 9 rec. for 130 yrds? wow- very impressed... You guys played your tails off and should be commended....so I commend you....
