  1. My recommendation, for what it's worth, would be to go through Bluff City traveling on Silver Grove Rd. and Weaver Pike as if you were going to Sullivan East and just stay on Weaver Pike until you get to TN High. I believe the biggest problem someone will have Thursday is if they try to get on Volunteer Pkwy after the game because of that parade.
  2. It was. He was referring to brawl between Boone and South in 2010, where a ref was injured.
  3. Heard they had better performances against Greeneville and Knox Grace. The scrimmage last Friday showed they needed some improvement.
  4. Looks like you're out of luck. "Mays added that he’s excited about the overall challenge the new schedule will provide as the Vikings will now have league games against the likes of Sevier County, Morristown East and Morristown West in what will be known as the Mountain East Conference." http://www.tricities.com/sports/article_71952f24-80df-11e4-9564-0f480322a161.html
  5. Just make sure you don't put down a logo on your turf that is registered trademark.
  6. Kind of agree, but if they don't improve next year, they'll probably have a rough go of it. In no particular order they play: Elizabethton South Science Hill Tennessee High Cherokee David Crockett Cocke Co. Morristown East Mo' West Sevier County
  7. Blazer, I'm not sure if you're aware yet, but Daniel Boone WILL play Science Hill next year. Stacy Carter confirmed this on the Science Hill Coaches Show after the loss to Maryville. You can find the episode on youtube if you need further verification.
  8. It seems to be a common occurrence with this station.
  9. It's working but they're showing commercials, so there's probably a glitch somewhere
  10. Didn't answer my question. I guess because for most teams in high school football, the main objective is to win a state title. Maryville has been doing that regardless of the classification they're in. Going out of state doesn't prove anything for Maryville, BA, MBA, or any other team thrown into the mix. I would like those matchups against out of state opponents, but it doesn't prove one team from Tennessee is better than another.
  11. So if they don't play the privates, they're excluded from being considered the best overall team in TN?
  12. Nobody is forcing Oakland and Blackman to go schedule Hoover. And I'm sure Oakland didn't need their starters in the entire game against Brentwood, Mount Juliet, and Stewarts Creek. In Oakland's last 5 regular season games they outscored their opponents 209-44. Looks like the starters had plenty of time to rest. People like to attack the latter end of Maryville's schedule because that includes most of their weaker opponents. People gloss over the fact that they possibly defeated 3 state champions earlier in the season (Webb, Alcoa, Knox West).
  13. CAE played Asheville this year. Which is the same team that play Knox West earlier in the season. Watauga lost a couple of games to Betsy a few years back. Wilmoth said Boone played South, Science Hill, Cherokee, and Elizabethton non-conference. I imagine he was reading from two different schedules?
  14. So it's Watauga high school? The school that played Elizabethton a couple of years ago. I'm pretty sure that's the only high school in Boone,NC.
  15. I may be wrong, but on the radio Steve Wilmoth said Science Hill was playing Daniel Boone, Elizabethton and Asheville-Erwin (Clyde A. Erwin High School) as non-conference games.
  16. Personally I've never witnessed THS do that. I wasn't at the game so I can't speak for what happened. If they did that, it needed to be addressed by the coaching staff. Our best player about 3 or 4 years ago liked to run his mouth a lot. Our last head coach kicked him off the team after the first game of his senior season.
  17. It should be at SD since they're 12-0. SD has a good running attack, but West takes this one.
  18. I wasn't at the game so you can take this with a grain of salt, but in the 1st half they (the Viking announcers) said there was no comparison of overall team speed.
