Should be some pretty exciting 1st Round games....Won't make any predictions....but the possible North Side/Dyer Co Region Semi could be awesome....Will be heading to Covington Friday night to cheer on the Rebels....Hopefully they can come out and play like everyone knows they can... Okay...well they booed nonetheless.... What do you think the student section should do?....Clap politely when Dyer Co or Milan scores?....Ref makes a bad call...Tell them its okay their human?....Student Sections all over the country do the same thing....I'm sure you didn't see the fans across from them yelling and screaming at them all night or maybe you were one of those fans doing the yelling....These kids are students....Their one job is to annoy and get under the skin of the other team.... I'm doing this to take up for any student section....I think its ridiculous to actually think that those kids are gonna be there and act perfect and not try to be annoying.....

North Side winning or losing doesn't matter to DC....They will play either Fayette Ware or Ripley....right? and either way DC wins

I'll go over these by numbers.... 1. While I was in high school, I was in the student section at a tournament there was cops who stood right next to us because they don't want to take a chance of things getting out of hand... 2. The Dyer Co student section had students in it during the game.....They got into the game...there is no doubt about that.....You must be talking about after the game....Either way the Westview cheerleaders shouldnt have been touched... 3. I'm gonna have to say that its a fan's right to cheer for who they want.....If Milan and OC fans wanted to root for Westview and show it....They can do that.... 4. The only booing I heard during the game was when Haskins won COY and Milan won 3rd place....We all know where that came from... 5. Really?....Where you even listening to them?.....The only chants they ever do is "Hey You over there" and "We can't hear you"....They've done that for like 3 years now..... 6. That was the Tournament officials fault.... I've never understood why parents and people who aren't students constantly yell at the student sections....They're just setting themselves up for getting made fun of by about 50-100 kids in the stand, and getting their feelings hurt.... Student Sections are there to show support, and get under the other team's skin.....I did whatever I could to tick off somebody on another team...I've been flipped off numerous times by parents and players....I just felt like I did my job..... People are passionate about their teams....There isn't anything wrong with that....BUT sometimes it can go too far... If OC would have won the district 3 years in a row and Kail didn't win COY, but they made it to State and competed every year and possibly a State Championship...I wouldn't be too upset.....Like you said, McCord won't lose any sleep over not winning it...He's got alot other fish to fry than worry about a 13AA COY award....I'm sure if DC can get to State again, and maybe win it....McCord will definitely take it all back so he can have the COY award...right?

I don't understand why it matters who wins COY....Get over yourselves.....I agree with Harshaw...I thought Coach Decker should have won....I saw before the year where people said they wouldn't win a game all year.....Anyways, Congrats to Coach Haskins....Definitely shouldn't have been booed when he got the award though.... Congrats to Dyer Co on the District Championship and good luck to all 13AA teams in the Regions.....

Being an Obion Co. fan, it doesn't really matter who we play.....it's gonna be hard either way....But travel wise I'd rather go to North Side /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

This tournament is kinda set up like the year Westview was undefeated or just #1 going into the Region semis against Obion Co......Hopefully this will turn out like that.... Agreed.....All these people are crying about how much Chassidy shoots, but let's see our record without her.....Be thankful with what we got OC fans....I wonder how many people would come on here saying all this stuff if she hits the shot to win it as time expired.....Overall a great game....Congrats to Westview on the win, but they must look onto to Milan Saturday night! GO LADY REBELS!!!!!!

I think Rex has the best shot on the team....Quite possibly the best player....

Yeah,It's good strategy....It has also become a lost art....Taking those charges can change momentum and get opposing players in foul trouble.....It will also cause a kid to think twice about driving the lane....Whitby actually was probably holding back a smile watching Simpson do what he was doing...Whitby used to be the master at teaching that....He had kids on his teams at OC that seemed taking charges was their official job...They used to keep stats on it...Brian Clark is a guy that comes to mind that did that.... Bill Kail,who was an assistant for Whitby at OC, has taught it to his players at Central to do it...More times than not the Rebels get the call....

I'll be going to this game instead of going all the way down to Alamo.....I think DC comes out strong tonight and doesn't have a hangover from Friday night...DC by 8....Should be fun good luck to both teams!!!

Obion Co. is very capable of beating anybody in that region, but being capable and actually doing it are two different things...We'll see come Tourney time... GO REBELS!!!
