yea...well i've been beating this dead horse since the south game 3 years ago.

Well all i gotta say is till we get away from the buddy-buddy coaching system or he's a good ole boy coaching system that we have in place i don't see it getting much better really..sad but true.Not saying we don't have a few good ones because we do...BUT!! I agree 16 should be your starter 15 just looks lost unless he's just handing off. It would make more since to me if you gotta beastly "o" line that you would rather spread it out with 3-4 wide and take them on 6 at time and create more 1 on 1 match ups than try to take on all 11 like we have been doing,But then there has to be the threat of a pass then i suppose I guess we just don't have a coach that..GLARINGLY!! can teach the passing game anymore or QB fundamentals for that matter. My football parenting days were over 20 years ago so i don't have dog in the hunt anymore, so my perspective is just that of a fan with some insight into the program. If i were the alumni boosters and sponsors i think i would start thinking real hard about all the improvements that have been made and are going to be made to the castle and just wonder if they are willing to settle for mediocrity at best. I just call it like i see it. Come on CAP!!! You used to do the same.

Good game Betsy...Don't really know what to make of this game.other than i don't think either team is very good this year. But we were just out coached all over the place , but i expected that. We are just so inside the box on O ii's not funny. I think i counted 5 maybe 6 different running plays...REALLY!!!. Just so predictable . I mean two scoring drives..led by what...yes.. the forward pass. We can throw the ball a little..but we chose not to till its to late..or everyone knows its coming...I just don't get it. And congrats to all 50 of the viking fans for showing up tonight..Kuddos way to support

I have to agree with cap on this one...we are not getting any production out of the QB position or very little at best..not jack squat . But This theme we have on offence...run the ball...play defense and field position...is starting to look a little too Familiar if you catch my drift . Play calling last week was ..lets see..Moronic..no...more like someone left you a huge play book and it got thrown away..and you called plays by memory and a bad memory at that. And Shuff..he's had that ankle thing since week one..he got it pretty good last week though from what i saw and heard..I don't really know ..but i doubt he play's much if at all this week with a bye week next week to get healed up.

West... you are everything i expected and the game was about as i expected..not as i had hoped but ..oh well.And i feel we gave it our best shot....well except for the first couple minutes..nerves got the best of us. Not that it would have made that much difference You guys are really good. . But we already new that going in.And i hope sincerely that you win it all. Now I don,t know who said we claimed to be a.. LOL!! (POWERHOUSE!!) none of our fans i know that. We've been the underdogs in half our games this year. And you'll here no excuses ..like we were all banged up.. or we had this one out or that one out. Everyone is banged up this time of year..get over it. The better team won simple as that. Ok!..Ok!...all trash talking aside.even though it is fun. I know what kind of team West is.. I've seen them play on TV couple times this season, Lenoir city game and I can't remember the other right off hand,but anyway. It's gonna be a tall task for us to go into K-town and beat you guys.. i know that .And I remember you sending us home a few times before in the play-offs over the years. So i respect your program.. it is top notch... one of the best in the state IMO.And I know you guys can't help who you play anymore than we can..bottom line is there are just not many 5A school up this way anymore. But with that said were still coming and your gonna get our best shot whether that will be good enough or not remains to be seen (probably not) but this team won't quit i can promise you that and they will try and take it to ya. Will we be out manned? Of coarse we will..we were out manned against the Hill and DB and to here them tell it AC(till after the fact). And you speak of speed ..i doubt you have anymore speed than Science Hill or DB does for that matter. I remember Powell saying some of the same thing's before our quarter final game a couple years ago..we were up 10-0 then our starting qb went down with a broken collar bone in the 1st Quarter(hope that officiating crew is in Memphis or somewhere else....WOW!)..so you never know what can happen...just saying. So win or lose we'll still be proud of our Vikings and even though we will be the second smallest school in 5A next year, we will just keep striving to get better and better...after all that's all one can do right! Yea..I know I was shocked we were able to beat anybody...I mean we're just a little ole team from N. East TN .Where they have no speed or talent at all...I guess we shouldn't even be here..Huh!!!

Should be a close one ..both teams look very similar in play style.IMO Where is everyone ...Cap?...04?...Jeeeez!!! guys come on give me some input.here. Yes! We have lost to some good teams ,but we had a chance to win them all at some point in the game with the exception of DB where the wheels just fell off in the 4th in a 14-7 game..Ohhh!! well gotta play 4 quarters. Anyway back to the game at hand...this years team is a fine example of the word team itself. A 4 headed monster in the backfield with Jasper,King , and Shuff at the backs and Gibson at Qb who is a dynamic and intelligent player in which all of them can and have taken it to the house from long range. I guess Sir Shuff would be considered our power back at 5'11 200 but with decent speed as well. There is not really a feature back as all are on the field at the same time usually and share the load. We would rather run it ,but we will throw if need be. Gibson has never played Qb until this year that i know of and i think he has done and outstanding job this year.He also has some pretty good receivers to throw to as well in James Shuff and Conner Green and Austin McReynolds. I think we only have 2 or 3 guys that play both ways and i don't believe there are any linemen that go both ways. Should be a very competitive game. I will have to give AC the nod just because of home field advantage if nothing else. By the way is your field natural or turf looks like natural on film , but hard to tell. And i'm sure there will be some more input from other Viking fans I mean these are the playoffs...COME ON MAAAN! OH! and we usually travel VERY well.
