Willie is AMAZING! Not just on the court, but off as well. He deserves any and all praise that comes his way. He's my pick for Mr. Basketball for the next two years. I can't wait to see him at the next level! Sorry about the ranting in my earlier post...I just hate it when people try to tear other teams down just because they are jealous....maybe it's because our boys brought the GOLD BALL home to B-TOWN! NOMOORE....let me tell you, you are a class act and pure IDIOT!!!! Bolivar recruiting! That's hilarious! I'm not knocking Bolivar by any means...I feel that I had an awesome school experience and got a great education there. But to be quite honest, we don't have a whole lot to offer recruits. Granted, we DID win the GOLD BALL this year and we do have an awesome coach who pushes our players to be the best they can be on and off the court, but we don't have anything in terms of money and rewards to get kids to come to Bolivar. Chism's family is from Hardeman County and his family already has a home here (from what I've been told). If kids do transfer to Bolivar, it's not because they've been recruited, it's because they know what Coach Rudesill can do for them in the classroom, (he tutors his team and will only let them play when they are academically eligible) on the court, (I don't think I need to elaborate on that) and in life (he just makes everyone he works with a better person). If I lived in Jackson, and wanted to play under an awesome coach and a great program, I think I might would move to Bolivar, too. So why don't you just BACK OFF, GROW UP, quit being JEALOUS, and GET A LIFE! GO TIGERS!!!!

CBarkley, I really hate that you saw Brian on such a bad night...one that my dad said was probably one of the worst he'd EVER seen him play. i'm not trying to take anything away from olajawan or anyone else for that matter, but i do think that if brian would have had as good of a game as he's had all season, the game wouldn't have been near as close....don't get mad at this post or strike back at it, i'm not trying to discredit Sycamore or anyone else. I just really hope that all of the boys bring their A game to Murfreesboro next week. I know Bolivar CAN beat R-E if everything's clicking, but if one player is off, it might just be a loooong night. I wish people would drop the thing about Willie's age...I think people are just blown away by how good he is and they don't want to believe that he is a sophomore...but guess what, he is! He might play like he's a lot more mature than most players, but he doesn't LOOK old at all!

I probably should have just glazed over this thread because I knew it would get me fired up. I have tried to keep shut since last year because I always get so irritated when people get on here and badmouth...but obviously, the Giles County people need to hear why some people have such a problem with them. Let me tell you why that rule was put into action this year...last year, the Giles County administration was HORRIBLE! Our administration at Bolivar had never dealt with the kind of people that they had to go through at Giles County. Not only were they not offering us tickets, but they were awfully rude. I've never had a problem with the ball team at Giles County because I know they were a good team, and I can deal with rude fans (everyone has them-Giles just has MANY more than most--and I'm talking about your obnoxious student section...yelling terrible things at our team, cheerleaders, and fans---what was worse than that, were the grown men getting the faces of the cheerleaders at the end of the game---CLASSLESS!), but the thing that blew my mind was how rude your principal was to us when we arrived. I was on the cheerleading squad and from the moment we walked in with the basketball team, the principal was anything but welcoming. In all my years of going to any kind of ball games as a spectator, player, or cheerleader, I had never seen such poor actions by the administration (right in front of the students' faces) and how AWFUL the things your student section was yelling were. In conclusion, I hope we'll get a rematch at state this year. WOW! GLAD I FINALLY GOT THAT OFF MY CHEST! by the way, our district is HIGHLY supportive, if you think SS might not bring that many people, i think you might be mistaken. i guess you don't recall how many fans bolivar brought last year. and i do think there's something wrong with the 50/50 thing....it should have been implemented before this year!

Bolivar is not the same team they were in the past few years...they have improved greatly....the also had a little pent-up aggression to let loose after Coach Rudesill was WRONGFULLY tossed from the game! That will light a fire under the butts of players anytime. I think Bolivar was capable of beating McNairy anyway, but the ejection of Coach Rudesill in the first quarter led to the runaway

just for future reference for everyone, our town is spelled bolivAr...not E The girls hadn't been doing well under Fredell in a WHILE. It was just his time to go. Here's my two cents on the ejection issue (for what it's worth anyway)...I wasn't at the game to give a first-hand account, but EVERYONE that I have talked to that was there has told me that it was totally uncalled for. This whole situation seems a little messed up if you ask me. I had been at the Bolivar/Chester County boys' game the night before and saw Coach Shelton of Chester County acting downright horrible. He was yelling and screaming, and at one point, took off his jacket and THREW IT! Not once was he given a tech. I also heard that the loyal fans of Bolivar took up money to pay for Coach Rudesill's fine. They sure do have good people down there in Bolivar Enough of my ranting on that issue...GOOD LUCK LADY TIGERS!!!! BTW... btownchick, do you know if they're going to petition the action of the official?

Well said...I don't think the boys are cocky about it like the fans are...They know how quick hopes can fade after that buzzer shot at GC last year...I think they're just takin it one step at a time right now. I hate it when our fans start getting so cocky on here...It makes my old high school look bad. So, if you're from Bolivar, save the smack...I'd rather the boys show everyone how good they are. A truly good team doesn't have to be built up on a web site, the show what they're made of on the court! GO TIGERS!
