  1. Good day of wrestling! Although I do not have all names, all three teams wrestled hard, Bradley dominated both matches, ER beat Rhea. In the East Ridge Rhea county match, Rhea only won matches at 182, 195, and 220. East ridge only won 195 against Bradley, and in the Rhea/Bradley match the only wins for Rhea came at 182, 195, and 220.
  2. Going to be a good one! The players really want this, and i know they can do it. Rhea by 6 in a good one.
  3. @ballcurmedgion or whatever, I did not plan on posting, but your saintly post are really starting to unnerve me. Who are you to run your mouth about unsilent? He merely spoke his mind, that is what this board is all about! Voicing our opinions. If you disagree, then state that you disagree, and get over it. Your kicking a dead horse, and are you really going to pull the Christian card? Who are you to judge us folks on our Christian walks? You are no better then ANYONE on this board. Have I badmouthed someone before? Yes. Has everyone else on this board? Yes. Have you? Yes. Unsilent was wrong and had his facts messed up, he apologized, so let it go. You have no right to play hero.
  4. Well a schoolcast call was just issued to everyone requesting all football players to be at a team meeting a 3:00, so I guess we'll find out shortly
  5. There is a open biology spot, and some kind of office administration job that was left open by mrs guffey and mr fishers retirement, other then that I can't think of anything open
  6. Coach Cameron is a good man, hate to see it, do you think they will hire on an OC or simply give the job to a coach already on the staff?
  7. does anyone know if this years finals will be streamed on a website? or on tv? or anything?
  8. wow. at 135 lopez and henley will meet in the round of 16. thats gonna be rough considering the number 1 and 2 in the state can't meet in the finals, and only one can reach the championship finals.
  9. why is michael kennedy not on either ranking?
  10. did not get to watch all of the tournament, if someone could please clue me in on what happened with 215 and heavy?
  11. our 125 is young, but pretty decent. our 130 is good, will go to state our varsity 215, not the one who wrestled thursday, will make state (didn't make weight) our 145 is also a very good wrestler
  12. 171- Ethan beddingfield. 189-noone but davis. 215- i dont see swanson in the top 4. kennedy, bolton, jones
  13. Hey now, lets not bash our fellow rhea countians. we are simply stating that Revis, Walker, and Mcleroy almost never spent time with ANY of the lineman during almost NONE of the practices. Mitchell made them who they were. Davis was a good kicker, no denying that, and Walt has jack to do with that as well. Hilliard was just a man among boys, and isnt hampton the quarterbacks coach? so there goes wilson as well. Looks like Pritchett is all thats left ;]
  14. My opinion is it'll be tough. With York going down last week, and Cochran not released for several weeks and only playing for his team last friday, we have no center. Moving people around on the line will be a problem, and word out is that warren has a hoss on the D-line.
  15. i believe it is Tommy who has sent the most. 3 lineman in 4 years? to d1 schools. the rest where just on talent.
  16. walts fan. rag tag? i dont think so. these boys play with more heart then any team in the state, and were a team from the beginning.
  17. looks like luke everett quit yesterday. thats a shame. he's a great athlete.
  18. Hickman and Beddingfield are both coming off good games. hickman showed he can rush the passer and make plays, and beddingfield showed he's still in there. cant wait for the next game. the D will be key.
  19. i know your not inferring that Rhea County is a "door mat." considering our kids have more heart and determination than any team in this state. doing something no other team has done in holding young to like what 56 yards in the first half? granted, we did fall apart in the second, but point made. we went out there and scored 14 on Bradley within 5 min. fight hard and give EVERYONE we have played, and will play, a run for their money.
  20. Rhea County boys gonna get it done tomorrow! Eagles by 14.
  21. gameplan? im shocked. i thought we just "do what we do"
  22. Bradley may have weapons, but i do believe Rhea has enough of it's own. Best QB we've had in a LONG time, good talent at A and B back, handful of receivers, and a motivated weapon. The boys really dont have any serious standouts, but they work as a team. which in the end is the biggest weapon of all!
  23. Ok, Rchs has good athletes. Revis, Desmond, TD, Johnson, Roddy, Everett, etc. we have more then "just average" athletes. But when your strongest kid on the team is a 190 pound (if that)junior D-end, then there is something wrong. Our line is one of the smallest in the state. the tallest lineman is what? 6'1? i know you cant control height, but the strongest lineman is like someone referred to earlier, a sophomore that cannot even drive yet. He may be the only lineman on the team that benches over or at 250. Where there are lineman at other schools that dont even see the field that all bench 300+. our weightlifting and conditioning program just isn't the same. think about back in the day when Patrick Everett played, and Roy Guthrie. you can't just tell me kids today are naturally weaker. our program in the weight room is weak. As far as favoritism goes, i do believe since this coaching staff took over in the late 90's early 00's that there has been favoritism, and there is politics. hard to deny that. But case in point threw-out the years, the "best athletes" and players are usually on the field, most of the time atleast. i doubt a coach, any coach, would not play the best just for personal reasons. Our line has sent 3 D-1 in the past 3-4 years mostly because of a great line coach, and great athletes have come threw. hilliard, wilson, roberts, sharp, mcleroy, ray, etc. yes, the coaches can be quite questionable at times, but they do make good decisions too. I support the program, maybe not the coaches always, but this program has one of the best fan bases in the state, and one that i am proud to be part of in the past, present, and God willing the future.
