Unbelieveably, I can confirm it was actually a Hardin Valley COACH that said Cottrell had no heart. Not a smart bunch over there.

I think Hardin Valley players may been saying he has no heart for some reason.....that's my estimation based on reading said tweets.

Ridiculous that West could possibly be as low as a #3 seed for losing to Maryville.

I think the only teams not named Maryville in East Tenn that can play with and/or beat Knox West, in my humble opinion, are Science Hill, Fulton, and Catholic. Fortunately for West, none of these teams are 5A. West should cruise to the BlueCross Bowl.

No offense, but WB could have played a flawless A+ game by their standards and still got blown out.

Catholic and West would be a very good game....maybe a toss up. Catholic would beat the rest of those teams imo.

West will take a big step back next year without Marshall and Cottrell to bail them out. All they do is turn it over and commit penalty after penalty. Fortunately, they have had enough talent to overcome those mistakes these past few years. Next year it needs to get fixed. This has been a problem for several years now.

You can't compare Mark Stoops and Butch simply because he's at UK and Butch is at Tennessee. It doesn't matter who Kentucky hires because 8-9 wins is more or less their ceiling. We all know what UT's ceiling is.

Anderson County scored 64 points on Karns and West only scored 39. I guess West doesn't have an explosive offense like those Mavs!

Are you really comparing scores? Gotta love that transitive property! Fulton just barely beat Catholic last year when they were still pretty bad. It's all about matchups , injuries, preparedness from week to week, etc. Transitive property...

Please. Fulton would play them about like West did. Bearden and Powell are HORRIBLE! Fulton plays in one of the weakest districts in the state. Fulton is good, but the clamoring over them is ridiculous. There are many teams in the Knoxville area that could put up 70 points a game against most of the teams on their schedule. Maryville, West, Alcoa, Science Hill, and maybe even Catholic as they seem to have turned it on. Why does Fulton get so much publicity? Because they went through that mediocre stretch? Sheesh.

Lol yeah, 3 SEC championship game appearances lol. And many 10 win seasons. Nothing but losses, ok. I hate Florida and Alabama with a passion, but I can admit when they're great, on the rise, etc. Anyone who can't acknowledge what Butch is doing at Tennessee is simply a fool that shant be taken seriously.

There's going to be a lot of upset and angry people beginning in 2015. Tennessee has always been high up on the hate radar......nobody likes a winner. And when that winner hits hard times, the hate gets even worse. UT will be getting a lot of revenge on a lot of teams very soon. Florida will be the first victim this year. Maybe UGA if UT gets a few good bounces.

Would be easier to permanently divide them into 6 classes. Or 5 atleast.

Should be a decent game. West by 17 points. Complete guess though.....don't know anything about Asheville.

I only got to follow the game on twitter, but West played them much better than I expected. I just knew Maryville would go right down the field after that kickoff return by Cottrell.

I know Fulton is much better now, but so is West. Would be a good game.

Fulton fans forget....the first year they "were back" they still lost to West. West can beat them.
