14-AA is set. McNairy and Chester Co. are the top two seeds and will advance to regionals. #3 Lexington will play #6 Fayette-Ware, and #4 South Side will play #5 Bolivar.

Humboldt has to play lights out to make it back to MTSU. They are in a TOUGH region, with either Mitchell/Middleton/BTW looming in sectionals

He is in the wrong classification. If he was in AA, no doubt. But Memphis has about 5 guys who could be finalists. Lawsons, White Station 3, Anderson, plus other than Chicago Simeon, Harrisburg, and maybe Fayette-Ware, Dyer Co. only plays teams to pad the win-loss record

Haywood is clearly head and shoulders above South Side and the Memphis teams in AA. As long as they stay focused, and one game at a time the sky is the limit

Humboldt relies too much on Bradford and Turner. Time and time again those two would isolate and try to go one on one with their man. Humboldt wont advance to state if they dont start sharing the ball. Also, the rebounding has to be addressed. Mitchell and BTW both rebound it well and Humboldt will possibly have to go through both to get another gold ball

Dyer County may can make another run to state in AAA, Simeon is on the same level of White Station and Hamiliton. But they have to rebound better though

South Side is playing Mitchell Saturday at 6 at Houston. Does Mitchell have a punchers chance to keep the game close??

I know its early but i think Fields is a D1 basketball talent, she has all the skills. Only thing that can stop her is her. Kinda reminds me a little of current Baylor freshman guard Nina Davis, who won AAA Miss Basketball last year at Memphis Central

Will say this about Haywood, and im a South Side guy. We have no matchup for Varnado.

I've seen Covington, Dyersburg, and Lexington more than once. Covington has really good post play with Mason and Somerville, and solid guards in Harvey and Poindexter. They can score inside out and can play uptempo or in a slow down game. They only play 7 so foul trouble will need to be avoided down the road and they arent really a good foul shooting team. Lexington goes as the guards Adi Hale and Katlin McGill go. They both are dymanite scorers and can get their own shot. But they dont have a post game and only play 6 players, so they have to play smart. Dyersburg has probably the best combo with Chari Swift and Myah Taylor. When Dyersburg is playing as a team they are tough, when Taylor tries to go isolation, she takes some questionanble shots. That will need to be adressed before postseason time, also they turn the ball over a lot.

Yeah i would give Haywood a slight edge over South Side right now. That could change between now and region time. South Side playes Southwind next Saturday, who Haywood beat earlier this year. WIll be a good test for them

South Side will cruise through district and regionals. The potential #1 and #2 seeds in 13-AA would be Westview and Obion County. South Side hammered Westview by 40 in the Hall of Fame Classic in November, and Obion County has Chandler Fussell, very solid kid, but South Side would wipe the floor with those guys. Substate would be either Manassas or Douglass coming to South Side, and we know what they did to Sheffield last year.

Megatron ive seen South Side and Haywood numerous times, Dont think Raleigh-Egypt, Manassas, or Douglass would beat them. And South Side and Haywood both will be hosting substate games. If a Memphis team has to come to West TN, they dont stand a chance

Really dont know who else comes from Region 7 other than Southside?? I guess you toss up Lexington, Westview, Obion Co, and Fayette-Ware and see who wins.
