  1. Congrats to Trevor, nice accomplishment.
  2. Sevier County High School, alumni
  3. Shoot, all us Sevierville boys can run! Even fat ones like me! Seriously tho, SC has a great deal of team speed, whether they all run 4.69 or 4.49, they have several kids that can run! Their 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams have had very good showing at the state track meet the last few years and all those boys play football. Take it however you want to, but SC can flat run!
  4. The problem is there is no accountability at the state level! Refs are all part of regional unions, and the TSSAA actually has little to nothing to do with them. They are only TSAA refs in name only! I've been involved in several games that were terribly officiated and asked our head coach to turn the refs in only to have him tell me the state will do nothing about it! The only way to resolve the problem is to have the state take over ALL the officials and have them answer to the state. The only problem is see with this is they will probably take more money away from schools at playoff gates and such. I see a no win for a looooong time to come!!!
  5. It'll come down to which defense can get a stop at some point in the game. CAK will look like Doc Holiday slingin bullets all over the field, and GP will do its best bulldozer impersonation with its running game. Should be entertaining! That being said, I thing the Highlanders will pull out a CLOSE one in the Mountain Thicket! Good luck to both teams!
  6. I was at that 2006 game, and you're exactly right! I couldn't believe how wet the field was. You'd thought it had rained about 6 inches over the course of the week! As for tonight, Fulton will score until Coach Black says they can't any more. I mean look at like opponents and Pigeon Forge and GP had legitimate chances to beat Carter. While, Fulton beat those two by a combined score of A LOT to a little! I think they scored 60+ on both while holding them each to one score. It will be a good game until KO though!
  7. I am not. I have nothing to do with FHS. Just a football fan voicing my opinion. I've seen both play, and FHS is the TOTAL package. They can fly, and they are very physical. GHS is a very good team, and like I said, any other year would be favored the take it all, but I just don't see any position that they are better than FHS, besides QB, and the kid from GHS isn't the athlete the kid from FHS is.
  8. Not gonna lose any sleep over it either way. I'm just trying to get yall to go ahead and accept the fact that FHS will come in and pretty much do as they please against the Devils. Any other year, this GHS team probably would be the favorite, but this year, this is the year of the Falcon Part 2!
  9. Not talking the Eagles up Pujo, just trying to keep some spirits up down Cosby way. Some fine folks down there, and I know that Coach Hall has had a tough year. But, if his 8th grade bunch stays with it they will be a force in the coming years. I would wish the Dawgs luck tonight, but somehow, I don't think they'll need it. As for this game, SG may just surprise a few people.
  10. While GHS is a very good team, they are not the "real" team in 4a. That moniker is reserved for a team located a little further southwest from Greeneville. They are called the Falcons, everybody will soon know they are the "real" team in 4a. As far as this game, I like the Devils by 28.
  11. I've seen both twice and as great as Maryville is, I'm not sure they could handle this Fulton bunch. The only way Fulton doesn't win it all again is if the bus breaks down on the way to Cookeville. Both schools are a class acts with class coaches, rooting for both of them to bring home the gold this year.
  12. Not a SG fan, just a fan of high school football. I've seen both teams play, and I know what both are capable of. SG is capable of winning this football game, they are a different team than what they were at the first of the year. Good luck to both, prayers for an injury free contest.
  13. Landers beware! Early in the season the Rebels were still a little lost after losing their offensive coordinator in August! They have some very good athletes. The kind of athletes that can lock down the outside and allow them to put more people in the box. Offensively they are explosive, they can score in a hurry! If you're basing your opinion of South Greene on the Tri-Cities Christian game, you need to reevaluate your opinion. Not saying they will win, but I'm definitely saying they can win! And, if your kids don't show up, it'll be a big ole party on Rebel Hill Friday night. BEWARE!!!
