  1. You're right, the new system TSSAA has put in place is a joke...Also, the first time these teams played was a joke. I'm calling for the #8 seed to pull off the victory cause they are fundamentally better, and the dirty play of Smyrna will come back to haunt them. Brent-laying the-wood 24 Smyrna Weiner Dogs 21
  2. No question, Dick Ash is a fine administrator. He knows what he is doing and will do the right thing. Sorry Coach Dean is retiring. Any time a Coach/Teacher resigns, students get upset. If other coaches are handing the situation, things are well in hand. Still think the coach may have been picked and communication may have been done. All of 7AAA look look forward to finding out who the coach is of the Great School. I don't think this a great surprise....Coach Dean did mention at the Banquet on last week that he would possibly retire so don't be surprise once we heard the news. Now, as far as Dirk Ash doing the right thing, I don't know. Since he carried both middle school coaches with him, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if LMS girl's coach got the head coaching position. I really hope this is not the case because he's not the best. At this time and with the talent lost, they really need a strong leader that's going to be able to keep the program going in the right direction. I really would like to see last year ####'t Coach P get the head coaching job....she has history with these girls & would do a great job. You hope this isn't the case? What's your beef with the LMS coach? He's worked hard with the teams in the past years...the talent level hasn't been great, I'd like to see you come to that school and see how well you could coach. Or since, LHS needs a strong leader, maybe you should go there...if not, take Pat Summitt's spot at UT!
  3. crackalack, crawled out of your hole to call out Beech? It's a little early for you to be asking for your annual spanking, isn't it? Annual spanking? I would check the records on that to see who actually gets "spanked". I figured you would crawl out of your trailer and get to a library to make a post on here...glad you're looking forward to next year's game like I am Golddust.
  4. This game will be just the beginning to a great season for the Green Wave. Get ready Beech, Gallatin is going to get some revenge this year.
  5. Agree on the 6-4 record with the new head coach in place, and if the possible candidate takes the job for the O-Line...Doug Capella. Capella is a hard-nosed, no non-sense coach. He was a candidate for the Siegel job, and would be a great fit at LHS.
  6. Well if you met this guy (Capella), you would understand why it was offered to him even though it hasn't been posted. He is a fantastic teacher at LMS, and a GREAT coach. He gets a lot out of his O-Line and D-Line and that's what LaVergne High is lacking right now. He's been at LMS for only 2 years, but he's a mastermind. He's a great speaker, and can fire anyone up. If he doesn't accept the job, and I heard that he more than likely will...I heard that he may decline the job to take Siegel's opening. Last, if Capella doesn't accept, Long will be a great hire as well. He is the Steve Spurrier of Rutherford County football and will take the Wolverines to the next level.
  7. Yeah, crackalack, we all know about how you work down at the smoked sausage factory... Yeah, and WE ALL KNOW that your Mom is the top employee.
  8. Oh I am man enough to get on here...sorry I don't live on here 24/7 like you do... I actually have a job, which you probably don't know what that's like since you're from Hendersonville. Beech, I give them credit...they played a great game. Gallatin beat themselves with the 2 turnovers...and the officiating was bad. Gallatin should have won...plain and simple...but Beech, great job. Good luck against Mitchell, you're gonna need it.
  9. Go GREEN and GOLD! Well you must have low standards thinking that...but back to the game, Beech takes this one.... so don't waste your time driving from Clarksville. Beech 28 Gallatin 17 Low standards... Sounds like you're describing a gallatin fan's taste in women If anyone has low standards it would have to be Golddust. Each week you get on here to bash Gallatin football, fans, and the city. Get a life...probably one of those former Beech players who wished his parents would have moved to Gallatin to know what great football tradition is all about. Get ready BrownCrust, Gallatin is ready to prove you wrong once again.
  10. As Lee Corso says..."Not so fast my friend". Looks like Gallatin Basketball will be going AT LEAST 1 more week without the football players. Figures ol' GoldBust would get on here to bash Gallatin once again.
  11. The game everyone has been looking forward to...except Beech's defense! (Remember Enriques Perry?!) Gallatin wins this one, hopefully on a dry field so no one complains, 27-21.
  12. Well, well , well, lick-a-crack crawled out from under his moms dress. Listen , boy, you just keep suckeling on the gallatin teet. you better get ready for next Friday.... IF you make it...... Actually BrownCrust, I mean Golddust, I crawled out from your mom's dress...but that's not the point. If I were you, I'd worry about your game tomorrow night, I know that Gallatin is ready to go. Don't know if I can say the same about your Beach Boys.
  13. Open your eyes buddy. Smyrna was 5-5 in the toughest district in the state.... On top of the fact that they are VERY young this season... Losing to them is not the same as losing to a typical .500 team. I think it's pretty clear reading the responses to this thread that gallatin is scared to play Beech again. I'm tired of the disrespect Golddust. You get on here each day to bash Gallatin... the only ones who should be scared is Beech, because if the conditions were better in the first matchup, Enriques Perry would have rushed for 300 yards, and Gallatin would have won by 3 TD's. I hope Beech can back up the trash talk from Golddust...but it won't matter anyway cause Beech may not make it to the next round in the first place.
  14. No offense but one of the best rivalries in Tennessee? Give me a break. It's a rivalry for these two schools, but not one of the best rivalries in the state. But either way, heard the new coach from Westmoreland has changed things this year, and it hasn't worked. Could we see a new coach next year, or does everyone believe he will be brought back to try his system? And I predict Westmoreland will win because of the defensive playcalling...a lot of respect for the Def. Coord.
  15. Since the county gives us no money for athletic facilities, us poor country folk have to take up money to park in order to make improvements to the stadium. Every athletic field on campus has been paid for through the hard work and fund raising of parents. (Unlike some other school's that are built by the county) Heck, they tried to fire the superintendent when he paved our parking lot for the first time in 30 years. Maybe some day we will even have a track. Our goal is to have all the nice facilities that you city folk have in Gallatin. Since when was Beech considered country??? All I know is Gallatin brought more people to an away game which is just as sad as the horrible field you play on. Speaking of sad...heard Mt. Juliet as an agenda to put up some big points on Beech this week. Just hearsay, but I believe it, and I know the goal of each game is to outscore your opponent, but what I have heard is a number to run the score up on Beech. Hope your defense is ready Beech, could be a long night! Mt. Juliet 56 Beech 21
  16. Wasn't impressed with Gallatin's victory over Beech despite the horrible playing conditions, but I still think Gallatin will beat Hendersonville. Gallatin is ready to spoil Hendersonville's Senior Night. Gallatin 21 Hendersonville 10
  17. No luck needed...no way Macon wins this game. LA- 31 Macon- 17 Looks like Macon will be 0-10 this season...doubt they will beat the rival hilltoppers next week...even though they are down this year as well.
  18. Not because of fatigue, I just think gallitan's players will be outmached and will quit. Golddust, I guess you're from another part of the state...or you're 1 of those cocky Bucs fan, but Gallatin doesn't quit. Everyone knows that, it's a part of their tradition to be a tough, hard-nosed team. To question their dedication is insane. I can't wait till Friday night so we can finally see who quits on the field.
  19. I completely agree. Gallatin isn't getting much love from the rest of the state. This could be a huge statement game for Gallatin. I agree also...but I don't understand why the Beech fans are so cocky about this game. They seem really CONFIDENT that they will come away with the W...must be that Hendersonville swagger. Gallatin 24 Beech 17
  20. "Third, Roger Perry is a GREAT football coach but not a miracle worker. If you think he would consider coming back to PTown, you're smokin' something. He's also a very insightful man. Why do you think he left in the first place?!!" I never said he was considering coming back...I said the only way they would win a game this year, is if he did come back...and that's not going to happen. Why don't you read the post, and look at the end of the comment with a laughing face on there. Get a grip
  21. This game might be a barn-burner...doubt it, but anyways, I predict Sycamore to win 21-17.
  22. Don't see a W for Portland this Fri. or this season...unless Roger Perry comes back sometime this season Greenbrier 24 Portland 3
  23. Won't be close....Gallatin will run it down their throat. Hope Perry has a brilliant plan to stop the Green Wave rushing attack. Gallatin- 28 Mt. Juliet- 7
  24. No luck needed...upset. Eagles 24 Blue Devils 21
  25. Talked to a few of the guys down in Gallatin...ol' Goldust provided some bulletin board material indeed. They are just waiting to destroy Hendersonville. From what I heard, Mt. Juliet is a freshmen team they aren't worried about...kinda shocked me. Thought they would be a better team than Goldust's Commandos.
