Come on now 3a was the weakest for years until that so called jv 2a team named Alcoa moved up. So your telling me Alcoa was a jv team but now that there in 3a its different? South Pitt has play 3 and 4a teams and beat them before. I mean smaller schools have a harder time playing against bigger schools but Pittsburg is one of the few that can compete most of the time. When you only have 250 something kids and still compete I would say credit is due but the paper doesnt ever give us credit until the end of the year. Were not even rank in the top 10 in the area. I just want to know if anybody else has seen the rankings this year? All I know is they just slaped Trousdale right in the face I mean that is disrespectful to the defending state champs. They put a team that hasnt proved anything above a team that has proved everything. They did the same to us, where second in our on district. You have to beat the best to be the best. No disrespect to Signal but that shouldnt have happen. My prediction will come on friday just like always. Still trying to figure out if Grider is going to put 70 on them .

Yes I hate that jasper is so bad this year. I really like those tough games between these two but it just hasnt happen in the last few years. Dont get me wrong I love watching SP beat up on those warriors but its getting old. And I believe this is going to be the 5th year in a role. Even though ONE jasper fan posted from Moccasin Bend atleast he posted.

Well i guess its bout that time for me to make my prediction. Grundy will come in and give it all they got and will make for a tough first quarter for the Pirates. Well what you heard is right, we havent had a desent kicker since 07. I dont know why we dont take that serious and get and develop a good kicker. If it comes down to a close one this year we will have to go for two because that kid I saw the other night didnt even make one extra point.

I watched the scrimmage friday and SP look pretty good still need to work on some thing but what I think they need to work on the most is there pass defense. Seq is not that good of a passing team and they completed a few passes they shouldnt have. Seq running back is a good hard runner and SP defense did a good job on him and there line but the corners and safety need a little more work. But SP should be a tough team to deal with again this year.

I cant stand private schools that get all these kids from anywhere they can and then they get all happy bout beating public schools, its a shame if they dont. But anyways who are we scrimmaging in the jamboree?

From an inside source in that area....they may not "Recruit" but they do something. Anyone who knows anything about H S football will say that if a Single A team is that good with that little of a school....something fishy is going on here. Union City....WILL PROVE that they can give the little old pirates all they want come noon Friday...just watch my friend. And if your that good...why don' t you play up a class or two like Trousdale County did for a couple of years....couldn't hang I imagine!! That was proven this year! We are a 1A school that played 7 or 8 teams this year that played in the 2A playoffs. It shows that we basically do play in 2A. I know every player on the team and there parents and have since they were little. We just have talented players most of the time and we have are bad years every now and then too. This team is very talented and if yall beat them then you deserve to. I think it will be close at the begining with everybody all fired up but once that settles SP should take care of buisness. SEVEN , you said that because the 2007 team beat yall. This team would beat the 2007 team and they would beat yall this year if yall played. Be thankful because TC would not be at the state if they had played. 2007 team was State Champs 2009 team isnt yet. Both teams are very good but 2007 team was loaded and had a much harder playoff bracket. Dont start talking bout us beating TC they are in the state too remember. I was one of of the six people from Pittsburg that went to the game. It had no atmoshere and was boring. Sp will man handle this team this will be a blowout. SP will do what they want to this team. But when I was walking out the eagle fans said yall better be ready that we will see yall in a week.lol SP-55 Ev-7

I will have to say 2007 team was much better than the 2003 team. 07 team had an explosive offense and a super fasted deffense that only allowed an average 6 points a game all year. 03 team had a good deffense but not on the same level as 07. This week is going to be a battle, I'm not as confident this week, but SP is playing better then ever right now. Sp better play like they have if not there deffense will have to play tough or it will be a long night for us. SP-20 BB-14

You lost to Trousdale County the toughest team theve ever played is you and you not even relevent in the stae untill you play a Alcoa or someone like that then you will always be a 1A good football team its not like you when state every year maybe once a decade . Trousdale is the number 1 team in 2A this year and they have the same team as last. And if 30 to what 14 is hanging with somebody then that is funny. I dont care what you said alcoa does always have great teams but last year was just a good team. I hope you get lucky again and get to play trousdale this year and you will see. But after SP blows yall out friday yalls legendary coaches may leave yall again just like before.

Just don't say another word dude until u can talk like someone with some brains. Marion County is not afraid of yall because we played alcoa last year and they are far better than what yall are and we still hung with them untill the end. Our boys will be ready I don't think sp is that much better than us which u will see come friday but if we play like we did last friday then we won't stand a chance and thats the case against any good team. OP u need to learn how to talk or don't speak at all. Sorry to tell all you jasper fans hanging on to that alcoa game yall played last year. They beat yall pretty good and just to let you know I went to that game and alcoa was a good team but not a great team. They had a athletic quarterback and a great tightend and thats about it so quit acting like yall played a great alcoa team. SP could have lined up and pounded the ball on that team last year. Boyd would have beat them if they played. Boyd had like 6 turnovers against yall and yall only beat them by 1. So dont give me that yall got better at the end and would have gave us a better game. ha ha very funny.

If they got beat by jasper and they played as hard as they can yes I think they would be a bad team, but if they had a lot of bad calls and mistakes I dont know if I would say they are a bad team. Truthfuly I dont think jasper is that good this year.

I think this game will be close for a little bit then I say the pirates will pull away. I have watched both teams play, I watch jasper against CC and I really didnt see anything the Pirate should worry about. I watched SP play GC and SP had a few mistakes but nothin they cant fix. SP does have a young team but they are very athletic with a little power and alot of speed. There should be some big run in this game from the Pirates. SP-42 J-13

hahhahahahhahah And you can always go by the Jamboree right? We beat Marion 7-6 What does that mean ? Other than the fact that KC was po'd.. Not a thing. One thing about the SV Jamboree is certain... You guys always show everything you got, and everyone else holds back. as for Graham I bet he is just as strong, if Not stronger than anyone in the SP weight room... Not to mention hes about 6'4 280 pounds and can move very well for a big guy.. Our O-line is big, and stronger than it has been in a longggggg time, Our RB runs downhill very well, and has the speed to take it to the house even against you guys(Was right on your winning backs heels) Our QB is vastly undersized... But bet on the fact he can scoot. I've been on this site for a minute, and I can't tell you how many times we've been told we were gonna get blown out and then make a game of it(we even blew the other team out a couple times) and ya We might get blown out, but anytime you step out on that field anything can happen.... its kinda like ole dude in Dumb & Dumber So your saying there's a chance ? Personally, I don't see a Mercy rule happening. That's like saying the boys from Grundy just gonna roll over and take it, These Grundy boys ALL DAY TOUGH... Most of the time you dont find out much in the jamboree, but I stayed around to watch yall and jasper play. Yalls anouncer was yelling and said both team are 1-0 in the jamboree and yall came out with yall starters in trying to win and so did jasper after yall scored they put brocks in to score on yall. Both teams were trying there hardest to win. So dont act like yall wasnt trying to win. And if SP shows everything they got every year then why cant any of yall stop us from droping 40 on yall?
