  1. CAK visits stone memorial tuesday. both teams have been on a roll. any insight
  2. i don't recall CAK ever beating Loudon girls. i think Loudon went undefeated in disrict last year. anyway nice win by CAK tonite.
  3. i've watched the three amigos from CAK play since middleschool and most of the prep extras in high school and often times taken for granted their high level of play. since no parent has ever kicked a ball the girls are due their just rewards. a job well done ladies and seniors you will be missed. Congrats to Coach Estus as well.
  4. somewhere in this debate let's not forget the girl's and their hard work, dedication and focus. all other things aside, they're doing what it takes to be state contenders.
  5. didn't greeneville win honors earlier with an 18-0 barn burner
  6. does it really matter. i checked an annual state contender's record back several years and they gave up 2-5 goals every year in reg season thru districts and regions. i suspect had they not subbed liberally and wanted to could have won by any score they chose. big deal. undefeated in disricts/regions for 4 years. what is perplexiing is the continued disparity in some of the districts, and i really don't see that changing based on next year. it seems no one is really raising their level of play, and the better teams stay or get better. i just think that's a tough problem to solve. perhaps for minds greater than mine.
  7. CAK 2 Knox West 0 great play by West goalie Cody or could have been much worse
  8. well there you go. eurosports also posts a loss to station camp, but also has page as undefeated. no doubt they are a good team, just can't score 15 every game.
  9. interesting debate. undefeted seasons are truly an accomplishment, as it means you win state. i'm not sure of career individual stats, but i can sure count the championship rings in my daghter's top drawer. see you in Chattanooga.
  10. i think we're all holding back till the playoffs. it seems the games that are drawing attention are out of district like collierville heading east notre dame gps and the like aa districts aren't much of a challange for state contenders. aaa districts seem to be much more competitive.
  11. playoff calibur for sure in both games. i thought collierville got a little tired in the second half against bearden as cak did against them earlier. tired legs does not mean lack of effort. had to be tough playing on the road back to back that far from home.
  12. heck, with all our money, we're getting UT Pride of The Southland.
  13. cak can certainly use the work against a quality opponent, and Bearden has been on a tear of late. i understand the pre post season tune up, but also know a key injury here ot here this late can make a big difference. should be a good weekend of soccer. i'ld say collierville will get their money's worth.
  14. the potential damage to my daughter's knees far exceeds any benefit to any game or any skill set a slide tackle might provide. seen a lot of games and i can't say a slide tackle has affected the outcome of any of them.
  15. cak wins even without the turnovers. i went with a cak buddy so no dog in the hunt. cak went headup in the trenches, better skill playres. no contest.
  16. and i thought i saw you driving a new Lexus SUV the other day
  17. greeneville is new to a/aa district play, and to that level of competition. no knock on the districts. those girls, programs and parents deserve equal respect for their hard work and commitment. perhaps more. CAK, as an example has largley been unchallenged in district and region play for 4 years and has done an excellent job of playing younger players to build for the future. still often win by a lot. winning most district games by any amount is no measure of success. CAK has played more aaa teams to date and has several more remaining. its all about chattanooga for those programs as i mentioned earlier.
  18. big game in knoxviile monday. how do these teams match up
  19. the disparity in several districts from top to bottom is often times quite large. it serves no purpose for the elite programs to run up such large scores, only fuels private vs public debate in most cases. for most the elite teams statewide district and often regional play is a preseason to state. see you all in chattanooga.
  20. greeneville beat somebody 18 zip. way to go.
  21. can't comment on gps coach, but it is pretty obviuos CAK has a dominant frontline and that new coach has coached up young defense very well, so i would say strong team and good coaching
