There was one coach that put in and his resume wasnt even looked at. now i dont know if he missed the deadline or not !!!!!NO ONE WILL TELL US WHAT THE DEADLINE WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well II have seen the emails sent by both Brian Hanley and Jimmy Stinnett so I can tell you first hand that both of the voted for Greg Ryan. So if that is what Mr. Brookshire told you yes he lied. But I know him better than that so maybe you have made a mistake in what you heard. I personally have sent Mr. Brookshire a request for every vote that was made during this whole debacle. I hope I get it soon. Be cause if all 6 of these people say they did what they felt was right for our kids and school and our community the they should not have a problem with the public seeing their votes, unless they have something to hide.

I know for a fact that the two from the community never changed their vote! They both voted for Greg Ryan every time there was a vote, or at least the three they new about. So whoever said it was 5 -1 is wrong. Unless you can prove otherwise.

The two that represented the community is solid people. And i hope the new principal is doesn't think this is best , I think he is doing what he is told by the other people on the committee. Such as the Assistant director, the districts school board member and the athletic director. The two from the community did not know that they offered the first guy the job until the kids told one of them. I found out today that one resume that was turned in on FEB 6 was never even seen by the Principal, or committee members if I was told right.

If what we are hearing is true Greenback football is over. He lost his coaching job at Loudon because he was bad then and I still don’t understand why but Ryan hired him here and he stayed in trouble for his language on the field. Why would you hire him. You have just killed the program as we know it.

Again I say ANYONE on here that can HONESTLY say they wouldn't have taken the same deal is lying.

I hope he can meet with the kids and their parents and get them to stay. I wanted Greg also. As you can tell from my previous post. But we got what we got and I wish him the best. I along with the others on here will support him until he starts pulling stupid stuff like the last one did.

You want to get on here and say we were not a powerhouse like Maryville and Alcoa ! NO ONE on here ever said we were! But we were in CLASS A you can ask anyone around. Most of us on here know everyone on here and we are not afraid to say who we are. Everyone knows us. We meet people from all over and try to meet new people every year when we travel to away games. No one never said we wouldn't support a new coach. We just want to know why Rayn was not offered the job before these other 2. He has the best record and the I believe he would be the best fit. I have had people tell me he would not get the job because he left for more money. Well hello that's called life. Anyone on here who says that they would not have done the same is full of crap. I am sorry you can not begrudge a man for trying to better himself be it more money or whatever reason. The only reason he is not at Catholic is because his head coach got fired.. And we all know at private schools when the hea coach gets fired the whole staff is gone most of the time. I also understand that there was some on the hiring committee that was left in the dark about even offering the first coach the job until the kids told them that he turned them down. So why even have them on the committee if your not including them? That is just one of the issues that we want answered. Why has it taken so long to make a decision. If they were so sure these people were right? With all this being said I will support the new coach whoever it is, as long as he doesn't make us the laughing stock like the last coach has!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok first of all I don’t think we hired an idiot for principal. I believe he is being led down a very dark hole due to personal feelings and vindictive behaviors. It time for everyone involved to do the right thing and put personal feelings aside. I believe that under Coach Ryan’s tenure there were more players to get scholarships not only in football but baseball as well. I may be wrong but don’t think so. Secondly here is the people that I was told that was on the so called hiring committee. Matt Borokshire (principal at the school),Jessica Spafford (athletic director)of the school), Phil Moffit (school board member for district 3), Tinker (assistant director Loudon County Schools), and Brian Hanley(alumni,assistant football coach,and past coach of Greenback Little League football), and lastly Jimmy Stinnett (paren and community member. So as long as the information is true that I got this is who all of Greenback needs to talk to.

When you have parents tell you that their child will not play next year if he is coaching , When the kids are saying the same thing what are you supposed to do???????? Suffer like Lenoir City, William Blount , Heritage and several other schools have done with the best kids walking the halls or even worse leave the school all together?????? When the attendance is lower than it has been in years and years. Why should you give him any more time!

you can go back and look at his history anywhere he has been he is not a head coach. He stepped down supposedly at Sweetwater on his own because he couldn't do it. He made stupid mistakes at his first job playing a kid that wasn't medically cleared. If you watched his so called play calling you wouldn't have to ask if he needed a third year.
