Thanks for mentioning Scotts Hill!! I will say that last year and the year before Scotts Hill had the best cheering section in West TN. No matter where we went the school and town followed. You know the student section is crazy when last year during the entire season we were talked about on here saying we were too rowdy which I still disagree with. Now this year Scotts Hills student section has taken a hit while the students and the town are still there they don't do much screaming so we are definitely not the best this year but last year and the year before no one could compete with us!!

CSAS is a very good team and I defiantly wouldn't count them out. They beat my beloved Lady Lions yesterday. They caused us to make so many tournovers. They have a great defense. Scotts Hill took the lead going into the half but just couldn't hang on to it. Scotts Hill was up 32-28 and thats when CSAS went on 13-0 run to end the third. GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE TEAMS LEFT!!

West TN doesn't travel well??? Yesterday Scotts Hill a little town in West Tn played and brought 1,000 fans with them. Scotts Hill brought the most fans out of Single A. I mean we did get beat by a very good CSAS team so we wont be able to bring that crowd again but you can't say West TN teams don't bring any fans!!!

I hope it Scotts Hill vs. Middleton however it probably won't happen. With that said I think everybody knows Jackson Co. will be there in the end. I dont know about the other side of the bracket. I wouldn't sleep on Scotts Hill. They have the bigs down low and can shoot lights out. We don't have the best ball handlers but it hasn't hurt us yet so I am hopin it doesn't now. Scotts Hill has an amazing coach who will come up with some crazy strategies. If I was Jackson Co. I wouldn't sleep on Middleton cause they are a very good team. Ice you won't get a straight answer out of midten he/she is delusional most of the time. To answer your question, RBS played a great game against us and against Clarkrange. We took the air out of it in the 4th quarter going up by as much as 9 or 11 i think and just holding the ball for the most part. The Colter girl played phenomenal but she's a good player so thats expected. I think CSAS just played a great game and if they play like that this week they will be a tough out. CSAS's coach has done what it takes to get better by coming up here in the season and playing these teams from the Upper Cumberland the past few years and my hats off to them. They've taken some beatings in the past in the substate but i'm betting they won't be so easy from now on. Not sure how they did against Marion co. in the region finals but we could have beaten that team by 80 or 90 points saturday night had we wanted to. It was 50 when the starters went out with 5+ minutes to go in the 3rd quarter but those girls from Marion Co. never quit hustling and thats how you get better. Everyone has to start out at the bottom and work your way up. There will be some great competition this year at the state tournament and those of us that live in the real world in Jackson Co. realize this. I have no clue if that is right or not. Can yall verify those coments?? I am just trying to figure out who Scotts Hill will be playing cause I have never heard of CSAS until this year.

I've been askin around and lookin everywhere i can think of cant find anything. I looked at their schedule and very early in the season they lost to the third place team in Jackson Co. district by 15 and the 4th place team by 4. It's their only 2 losses in single A. Other than that im clueless and that doesn't say anything cause that was extremely early in the season.

Ok I was wrong about RBS they laid a big egg!!! I've been cleaning house all morning so let me do some house cleanin on CoachT. First of all rabbitboy shouldn't you be on the softball threads? I bet those mits are poppin right now!!! Secondly I hope an pray Jackson Co. draws CSAS in round one it will give us some practice on the rims before we play any real competition. As for the boys game I got CSAS winning by 25 Yall seem like you know CSAS. Are they quick, do they have any bigs down low, can they shoot well???

It's gona be EXTREMELY tough for Humboldt to come to the HILL and beat Scotts Hill. The fan base is going to be CRAZY!! The home court advantage isn't everything that Scotts Hill has on their side. Coach Chandler is one of the best coaches in the state! Even though he doesn't have any state apearances he is GREAT!! There is no one else I would rather have seating on the bench beside Scotts Hill Saturday night. The Lions of Scotts Hill have been playing great so far in the tournements. They have been rebounding the ball so much better than they did in the regular season and playing a great defense. Yes they do have a starter missing this game but Miranda Hayes stepped up big time against Middleton in the Region Championship and Michelle Beecham has shown that she can be reliable coming off the bench in some games this season. I will take Scotts Hill by 7 48-41

I am pumped for this game tonight!! It should be an amazing game!! I don't think it will be a blow out for either one of these teams. Although Middleton hasn't bounced back from any losses this year except for the one in the District Championship game they look to me like they are playing for revenge. When I watched them play Adamsville they absolutely dominated the first half so I left. If our girls come out and are not on their A game I don't expect a win tonight. With that said I do expect our girls to come out ready to play ball. They saw what happened to our guys last night and do not want to experience the same thing. I think it will be a 1 to 4 point game no matter who wins. I have to pull for the LADY LIONS OF SCOTTS HILL!! GO LADY LIONS!!

So far the results have been like this: City University over TCA by 13 Scotts Hill over River City by 28 Westwood over Adamsville by 8 Middleton/Douglas????? Scotts Hill vs. Westwood 6:00 @ TCA City University vs. Middleton/Douglas 7:30 @ TCA Both games Tuesday night!! GOOD LUCK LIONS!!!

You obviously have no clue what you are talking about when it comes to chants from the Scotts Hill fans. The chant that is being put way out of proportion has no vulgar phrases in it what so ever!!! All this chant does is call the team that loses "losing team" and the team that wins "winning team". I dont think that counts as vulgar!! This isn't UPWARD WHERE EVERYBODY IS A WINNER!! It is HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL WHERE YOU HAVE A TEAM THAT LOSES AND TEAM THAT WINS!! This chant has been blown way out of proportion! PLEASE GIVE IT A REST!! At our school we are not aloud to say anything vulgar in a chant!! The administration got onto the student section for sayin "you suck". The student section at Scotts Hill has not said this phrase since the Adamsville game in the district Semi Finals.

I wish we could get back to basketball on this thread but it's not gona happen cause I have tried multiple times to do so. If yall want to talk BASKETBALL and I MEAN BASKETBALL go to the thread that is titled District 15 and 16 A Regional Tournement! Don't bring all this talk about people's fans over there!!

Does Westwood have anybody big down low?? How deep do they go?? I have never seen them play so I have no clue? All I know is they better not go to sleep on Scotts Hill if they play each other in the Regional Semis or better yet Adamsville is a good team that I wouldn't sleep on either. First off, I attended the 15A game as a fan of basketball. I have no ties to either Middleton or Scotts Hill. Nobody is denying the fact that Scotts Hill has a very good basketball team. They are VERY talented. Nobody is complaining about the fact that Scotts Hill fans travel well and support their team. It is the manner in which that support is shown that is bothering me. Dumping water on the court at TCA was wrong. Fortunately, it took place in the middle of the court and not over by the scorers table which had plenty of expensive equipment all over it. I saw an incident at a Union University game a couple of years ago when Union players dumped water on their coach after a conference title game. That stunt also ended up destroying a lap top computer as the water fried the laptop. Union had to pick up the tab for that. When your fans charged the court in celebration after the game, someone could have been injured on the floor as a result of it being wet as well. In regards to the chant, there may not have been anything technically wrong with it, but it was in very poor taste. It also showed a complete lack of sportsmanship. It is disappointing that the Principal of SH allows that chant to go on. It's even more disappointing that his son apparantly leads it. Have you ever heard the saying "win with class"? Scotts Hill played a great game. However the antics did not cast a good light on your school. With that being said, I would not be bragging about a home sub state game just yet. SH will have a tough road to hoe to earn the right to host one. I am sure that Middleton and a few other teams might have something to say about it. If you go back and read what I said you can read that I said it would be tough because Westwood and City University are very tough teams. However much I hope we host the Sub State Game it might not happen. There are 4 other tough teams in this Region. Now can we please quit talking about the chant!!! Lets get this thread back on an actual basketball topic. Who do yall think we win the Region. I dont know enough about City or Westwood to make any predictions. All I know is Adamsville, Middleton and Scotts Hill will come to play so I wouldn't fall asleep on any of these three teams.

Who wins and why?? In the Semifinals you will probably see Scotts Hill vs. Westwood and City University vs. Middleton. I don't know anything about City and Westwood so I am not gona make any predictions. Any other opinions on this tournement.

Ok I am sorry if your high school players who are young adults are too emotionally insecure that being called the "losing team" after they lost hurts their feelings. I have advice for all of you GET OVER IT cause I PROMISE you it will continue!!! For whoever it was that said our district was an easy district WE BEAT MIDDLETON TWICE!!! All season long people have been saying that Middleton had a great shot at winning State. As for precious District 16 A we beat 2 of your top 4 teams last year and lost to Mannassas in the Regional Championship. If we win Region which I will say it will be tough cause Westwood and City University are good teams but if we do nobody and i will repeat NOBODY will come into Scotts Hill and beat us in a Sub-State game. And good luck to you on trying to get the administration to stop the losing team chant because the student who does it is the Principal's son!! GOOD LUCK!!! GO LIONS!!!!

HUMBLE is not the word that comes to mind when discussing Scotts Hill. I would say this is the coach's issues and should be addressed. OBVIOUSLY utfan has no clue who they are talking about because Bobcat was talking about Adamsville and not Scotts Hill in the first place. Scotts Hill doesn't do anything more than ny body else would do after a win. Adamsville is the one who jumps around like they have won the state championship which will never happen may I add when they take a 5pt. lead into halftime. They came over to our side and started taunting us and crap like they had already won the game at halftime. Too bad for Adamsville they ended up losing.

I dont know the final score but Scotts Hill won by 8.

I was at the game last night and the only people that show no class are a couple of players from Adamsville. #44 doesnt get any good minutes but when he does hops around and dances and showing off because you are ahead. I remember him going into the locker room last night and looking at where I was sitting and acting like they had won the game which of course did not happen. #30 is the BIGGEST BABY on the court I have ever seen in my life. He complains about everything. As far AJ Damron he is a good ball player but is as well very cocky. What did our fans do last night??? Besides the students doing the all familar is that not the score board chant that the students do every game.

Tonight the Lions of Scotts Hill traveled to Adamsville and was missing Garret Blankenship, a starter and senior, and won by 8. This is the second time Scotts Hill has beat Adamsville. I dont understand how you can continue to rank Adamsville 5th in the State. By the new rankings we have beat 2 teams in the top 5 one of them twice. Is West Carrol really the 3rd best team in State. I've seen them play once and wasn't that impressed. WAY TO GO LIONS!!!
