Hats off to Fairview...they never quit and had plenty of opportunities to win....several key dropped passes would have changed the outcome. We came out on fire in the first half and rolled....then, in the second half, Fairview rolled off three straight touchdowns. Glad it was such a great game for the Region Championship.

I think we will have to pass to win this game. Deshawn will get his yards and will have a couple of touchdowns, but that alone won't win it for Camden. If we refuse to adjust and throw the ball, it will be a long night for Camden.

I'm not sure, but I think after Camden's victory over Sycamore tonight, they secured a record 11th 1st round home playoff game. I don't think any other West Tennessee team in any classification can top that. If I am wrong, please correct me.

Camden played just well enough to beat a good Sycamore team tonight....defense stepped up and kept us in this game. Offense seemed to struggle....got a week to sort things out and adjust before next Friday night....

Sycamore runs a very similar offense that Martin Westview does (spread read/option). I really hope we have made the proper adjustments to our defense if that holds true, if not, we will be in for a very short game clock. I didn't see much in the way of a passing game from them. #32 running the ball is a load to bring down tackling up high. We need to tackle his legs to prevent large runs. Their defense will not be able to stop Deshawn Brown from getting large amounts of yards. They will get their stops every now and then, but he will still spring a couple large ones. If we pass the ball (like I know we can....) we should pull out a victory.

Haven't seen a post yet on this regional game. Big game for both schools to remain in the hunt for Region Champs.... Camden 28 Sycamore 21

Don't count Camden out of the Region Champ mix...we have to win out, but it is possible....

This game (and all remaining regular season games) for Camden has become a "must win" situation. We have had a week off to rest injured/dinged up players and work on adjustments for this game. Here's hoping the two weeks leading up to this game were productive for Camden. Camden 35 Cheatham 14.

We can't turn the ball over 5 times in a game and come out victorious...we are not good enough to overcome that. I also saw several of our players taking some cheap shots in the end. That is not what Camden football is about...and I trust the Coaching staff will take care of it this week. This is the second week in a row the officiating crew made questionable calls and flat out missed calls....for both teams. It didn't change the outcome of the game, but I am beginning to see a trend. Not saying they are against Camden....I'm saying they need to clean up their game for both sides. I hope #3 isn't hurt too bad and can return next week for Martin....I'm glad we have a bye week to try and rest some nagging injuries and make some much needed adjustments before we finish the region schedule....

Film review complete. Here are my notes: Offense * Mainly run the spread. * Pulling guards do not stick with the blocks. * Poor pass blocking. * Alternate between #2 and #3 at QB. * #2 seems to run a majority of the read options. * #2 is a better runner than passer. * #3 plays WR, QB, and returns kicks. * #3 has good hands Defense * Poor coverage on short pass plays in the flats * LB's do blitz from time to time * Line does not get low and slow to respond to snap * NT is a mountain, but slow. Regardless, he eats up a lot of space in the middle of the line. Hard to run up the gut with that much size. * Safety coverage easy to burn on a long pass. Lots of receivers blow past with no pass thrown. Special Teams * Kick Return team does a poor job of blocking. Most are watching the play instead of contributing. * Punt Team also does a poor job of hustling downfield. We can run on Martin, but we will need to do it outside the tackles. We can definitely pass on Martin effectively. I will say 28-21 Camden.

I'd rather earn it....

Officiating was terrible for both teams.....

6 turnovers and a gift call will not help us at all next week. If we clean it up, I like our chances.
