its actually goal diff between the 3 teams not the entire district. so the milan game wouldnt matter. that would decide 1st(if not still tied) then the other two would go head to head to decide the next two spots.

Having been on both sides of the situation I'm not sure what the best answer is. The only reason I personally have for not using the 10 goal rule is to let my lesser experienced players have some playing time. In northwest TN there are very few JV teams. So if I have a lead like that I could use the time. Although I would hope I would have them in before 10. Probably the best thing is to keep it the same and let the coaches decide on the spot. That way they can talk maybe at the half and clear their benches or run it short.

Out of the West Regional Semi Dyersburg vs Lexington Westview vs. Chester County JCS vs. Raleigh Egypt Madison vs. Westwood Regional Champs toss up vs. Chester County JCS vs Madison Sectional JCS vs ? ? vs Madison JCS to state out of region 8 Region 7 Lexington, Chester County, and Dyersburg are very close to each other. Regular season Chester County tied Dyersburg and split with Lexington, Dyersburg lost to Lexington. Too close to call.

West tn schools off the top of my head. Obion county South Gibson South Fulton Dyer county Dyersburg Chester county Haywood Mckenzie I'm sure there are more

The Coach at Overton when I was there 91-95 was Coach Gaines. Very good teams those years. I remember some epic battles with Brentwood and Father Ryan.

like the quote from the rule book said, " it is up to the district". In our region we really dont have districts. The region decided to play overtime. Therefore you went to overtime. I heard that was a pretty good game!

let me shed some light on this. We(region 7) do not play district tournaments due to the number of teams in one of the districts. So at the end of the season the records are looked at on how each team did against their half of the region. Seedings are then made for the region tournament based on those records. As far as who hosts we rotate it. The first place team hosts every other year. For example dyersburg was first for their side last year so they hosted. This year will be the south Gibson/westview/mckenzie/peabody/milan/south fulton/gibson county side first place team to host. that being said, next year this will probably all go out the window since the districts will be completely different and their will be plenty of teams in each to have district tournaments.

well.......thats not your typical west TN team. They will be going to DII next year so I'm just trying to take a chance on us (west tn) while I have the chance.
