  1. Anything to discredit the OR staff, I guess? They clearly weren’t working with as much talent as he thought they were. All 3 were really good HS football players, but there’s a huge difference in a really good HS player, and top tier talent at the collegiate level. 2 OR greats come to mind in that regard - Shawn Summers & Spencer Gulmire. Both were great HS players, but didn’t have the talent to actually start at the top levels of college ball. Although Shawn returned quite a bit of punts @ UT. I love Heyward, but he has the same problem as Dozier, lack of speed. If you weigh 180 lbs, you better run at least a 4.4 40, he’s not even close. He was way overrated early on, obviously. I love the kid, but just the facts. He never progressed physically past his sophomore year. Great little HS football player, but just lacks top tier talent.
  2. Didn’t surprise me a bit. I think you overrated their talent, if you wanna be completely honest. Dozier is a great HS back, but doesn’t have top end speed. If you’re gonna play major college ball at his size, you better have elite speed. He doesn’t by a long shot. Rembert? No surprise at all, he’s tiny. I never expected any of those guys to be major college prospects, Nalls included. Maybe your talent evaluation needs revamping?
  3. In all fairness, all the rest of the region does too. Any of the top teams can beat the other on any given night. OR has as good a shot as any of the rest.
  4. I definitely applaud him for doing it. I really don’t understand the hate a lot of people have for him. I mean, yeah, he’s goofy as all get out, but so am I at times. Some folks really dislike him. Just odd to me.
  5. I have always thought the same teams were played on there every single year seems like. Personally, I welcome a few new additions. I get tired of watching the same teams year in year out.
  6. Yeah, the frosh PG is gonna be great. No doubt.
  7. William Blount is a very good team. It happens. Don’t be silly.
  8. East Tennessee is wild this year. A lot of parity. About 10 teams can beat the other on any given night. Should make for fun tournament play.
  9. I can’t get over how much the girls have improved. They’re really hitting on all cylinders. The boys are slowly but surely adjusting to playing without Brennan, which has been nice to see. The emergence of the Sophomore CT (I don’t wanna misspell his last name, so using his initials instead) has been nice to watch. That guy is going to be really good.
  10. That’s really good actually. Thanks for sharing.
  11. Yeah, that was before Garth took a dive. That was some good stuff right tar.
  12. It actually started way before that, with Neal McCoy with “the shake” and “Hillbilly rap”. Also, Garth isn’t exempt from criticism either. He has ultimately become pretty cringeworthy.
  13. There’s a lot of those anymore. True country music just doesn’t exist anymore, to be honest.
  14. He had to stop playing because of a medical issue. His days as a player are probably over, unfortunately. With that said, his health is what matters most, and I’m glad they caught it when they did.
  15. Yeah, that’s one thing they were just never good at. Fielding a competent defense. If they could somehow hire a good DC, they’d be dangerous.
  16. Man, it was a battle. I was surprised at Alver Sprangs’ athletic talent. They had a few quick little backs.
  17. Alver Sprangs & Kangstin both. I went to the Alver Sprangs/Co-Feel game. One of the best games I watched all year at the HS level.
  18. Oak Ridge’s isn’t, at least. It’s completely empty.
  19. You could say it’s a suffix for the term “homeboy”, AR. It’s alright we know you’re an old salty dawg, don’t feel bad.
  20. Yeah, I’ve been using that for quite a while. Nobody uses it much anymore.
  21. Good ole Morkin County. Co-feel. Lolol I was repeating it back to myself, and that’s exactly how I say it. Not good.
  22. No, I get it, something has seemed off a bit this year, especially considering we brought just about everyone back from a team that was really quality last year, so it’s not just you. I feel it too. Just putting things into perspective, that’s all. And you can say that again about the girls. The return players have made a humongous difference.
