  1. Who is offering? National Inquirer wants to know.
  2. Like I explained in earlier post....it is your sarcastic remarks such as giving awards to " GHS coaches, water girls, and band" and then want to pretend you genuinely congratulate GHS for another state championship or any of of the players for winning any awards. It's not about agreeing or disagreeing with you about your views as this board is for all fans to express their opinions and not show their....well you know the rest.
  3. You are the one who should be ashamed for many reasons.
  4. HaHa! You are the one that is so blinded by your pathetic egotistical views of your favorite boy that it has actually made me wonder what kind of life you live and in what world of dreams. You are such a see-through hypocrite to anything and anyone associated with GHS that it cracks me up because your jealousy is so obvious. (Not that you would ever admit it though)
  5. Yeh, pretty good drive! Just get here early enough to let the boys get off the bus and stretch their legs for awhile. From some earlier posts I read, sounded like gonna be leaving early and making several stops along the way so should be alright. Just try to stay out of the "Black Friday" traffic. All those crazy shoppers probably be crashed by time you guys roll through their towns though since stores open at midnight or before. We have a nice little town here and several places to eat if interested. Although, we serve some really good barbecue at concession. You think you'll have a lot of fans make the drive?
  6. I agree! Any given Friday in this case. Don't post much but do keep up with the boards. I am disappointed in the numerous unnecessary rude comments displayed by fans of both teams. However, everyone has some nut that wants to diss others to make himself feel better. I do not feel that this one poster is an accurate reflection of either team's fan base. Obviously, we both love our football teams. I just really wanted to say that I am looking forward to this game! Giles crushed our school's first-ever chance of winning state and we did a lot to beat ourselves in that game. Our sophomores that played in that game remember the disappointment very well therefore I know will be playing with a ton of heart and a taste for revenge. I'm sure Giles is a very good team or they wouldn't be this far . Honestly, I know nothing about any of their players or game strategies. I'm sure the team's coaches will have boys prepared and I personally hope to see some new offensive plays from Greeneville. I wish all safe travels and pray for an injury-free game. Go Greene
  7. I would expect Boles "to put em up from the start" since he gets as many as 35 or more carries in almost every game. Devils spread their talent around and don't focus on one particular player. Shuff carried the ball much less like 6-10 carries per game. He has been nursing ankle injuries for the last 4 weeks which had to slow the kid down a little bit too in the recent games (eventhough he went to the next game at the Gap and had an outstanding game while playing with 2 sore swollen ankles). Shuff will not have the most yards for sure but currently does avg like 12-13 yds per carry. I do agree that Boles has impressive numbers as he should and surely you agree that some must be contributed to his line. Or do you actually think he does it all by himself? For the total amount of yards the kid has, I see him getting deserved recognition but still don't think he's the best back. Lots of nominated guys on this thread have impressive averages and think that tells more about who deserves to be best back.
  8. Everyone knows why Case is doing that and you're right it is certainly not in the interest of the team as a whole unit. I do not need to elaborate. I will only say that allowing others to have play time and the ball too is a major contributing factor to building teams and making them better which is obviously not Case's concern.
  9. As for the award...yeh kinda pointless to have a vote if know who gonna give it to anyway but still good for kids to be recognized. And that guy with his video on you tube...he said he doesn't get it and boy he really doesn't get it at all. He and many others do not understand the TSAA divisons and I agree was confusion esp. first year they changed it but why go on a public rant about when obviously ignorant on the issue. I am also tired of hearing all the whining about it! Believe it or not folks but there are other sports besides football and same placement goes for all of those sports also.
  10. Shuffler did win the poll but apparently sports writer for knoxville prepextra has final decision and gave it to guy from oliver springs. both were deserving but makes you wonder why they even have a vote.
  11. Talk about trash! You have got to be the most ignorant "buffdaddy" of all! Implying that your players are going to deliberately try to hurt any other team's player shows that you not only lack class but also basic human compassion. I could respond to your post in a smart a** way that my first gut feeling makes me want to but I will refrain. I was just trying to understand why would you as a father want to see any kid get hurt playing a high school football game? Are you that jealous of certain players and the team in general? Sounded like and I'm positive that you meant your crude comment as an attempt to brag on your "mighty buffalo" that you actually thought might be able to overpower the devils. It is comments such as yours that bring negativity and seperation in our community. As an adult citizen of Greene County, I would never wish hurt on a teenager playing a sport that he/she loves and pull for all of Greene County teams to do well in all sports as it brings positive attention and pride to our area.
  12. Very proud of Greene Devils for their efforts last night. Devils are a great team and played a great team last night! We thought that it would be a hard-fought close game and it sure was that and more. Mo West has an outstanding HUGE team and I was impressed at how well they moved for their size. Obviously not a great game for Greeneville...interception in endzone, Hall's big run erronously called back for non-existent block in back, virtually no blocking on offensive line, uncharacteristic miss for Ogle. While our defense played well, I give Mo West credit for some break-throughs. Greeneville needs to take this week and really work on blocking and figuring out real quick that some things offensively need to adjust. We really need those big guys back on the line and there are other plays besides up the middle. Hope all the players get healthy and ready for Perkins and Malone to start their season very soon.
  13. right. in a league ahead. may not be as powerful but just as tough and faster.
  14. Gville D will be one of best in state again. Gville O will get the job done one the ground and passing wise. I could see Shuffler and Perkins rotating in and out at running back. and Shuffler playing receiver when Perkins is in the back field. Tanner Stewart will be pushed by a soph, Finchum, at the QB position. Stewrt will get the job but needs to work on throwing during off season. Receivers will be fine and O line will be as good or better than last years. You give Shuffler a inch and he'll be gone. Give Perkins the ball and its a guaranteed 5 yards, if not more. Next years team will be faster than this years. The D will improve and the O will get it done. Expect good things. Ballard will get everything ready.
  15. Shuffler, speed back and power back. also Perkins may be carrying the rock. those two ran together there freshman year on jv and were a force to be reckoned with.
  16. Yeh, they were some big ole boys for sure which proves bigger is not always better in some cases. We are a fairly young team but do have some size with Hall, Rollins, Cope...etc. Definately got some speed with Willie and Shuff. How does Gibbs look as far as size, speed, and passing game? Btw...concession had homemade chili Friday night which was outstanding. Just thought I'd let you know in case they have it again this week you might want to give it a try.
  17. Give credit where credit is due. Greeneville players have heard all year how they play a weak schedule and we'll see how good they really are when we get to playoff's. Well...playoffs are here and now it's excuses like we aren't playing anoyone good there either. Seems as though pre-game talk last week was all about how we haven't seen a team with such speed and size as Fulton. I'll be honest, I was a little concerned about this one. Just like the saying goes, "On any given Sunday" well except it's on any given Friday. I am looking forward to gameday and hopefully the Devils will prove themselves once again. FINISH!
  18. That's right Barb! If you build a great program, players will want to come be a part of that program which also belongs to an outstanding school. Btw...so tired of hearing about where and/or why #3 is at GHS. He is here because that is what his family decided was best for him. No matter the reason, he's here and we welcomed him in without knowing about his fb capabilities. With that said, the fact that he is an all-around outstanding athlete is a pleasant bonus. One more thing...while Carmichael is a great athlete, he is not the only gifted player on the team. It takes a joint effort from coaches and all players. GOOD LUCK GREENE DEVILS!! FINISH!!!!!
  19. are you seriously that dumb? So, who are you for anyways??
  20. Greeneville's team including their rb and qb have shown determination, strength, and a lot of heart in the play-off games. Idk anything about Giles County but no trash talkin here bc both teams must be pretty good to get this far but you know the saying... on any given night. Defense definately needs to be as mistake-proof as possible bc any mishaps will surely be taken advantage of by either team. Offense... keep moving the chains but hope to see a more differentiated offense Saturday. Most Gville fans are respectful, proud and will turn out in force. Don't judge all by just one poster but do think the "As the Mike Turns" drama is kind of hilarious. Should be a pretty good half-time show! Idk about that last post from Arshad about being in a wheelchair though. Not funny if that isn't true Seems like he's got a lot of talk though.
