It's just always funny that Alcoa fans know they have an All-Star team, they know they will win the 3A title for the next decade-plus, they know they will continue to produce insanely talented D1 and eventual NFL players.

Yet they get on this message board every week and every year and talk smack to other schools like it's a fair fight.

I have a buddy of mine that is an Alcoa fan.  He said that the two guys he was most concerned about was #2 and #7.  He said that they did not touch the ball one time in the 2nd half.  He said all they did was give it to #23 who is the new kid that was recruited from out of state.  He said that #23 was really good, but #2 and #7 were both really good players that have been at GP all four years.  Poor coaching not to get those guys the ball.  Even peewee coaches know that it is easy to stop an offense that only gives it to one guy.  Peewee coaches also know that getting the best players on the team the ball is a better chance of winning.  I guess the GP coach has some job interviews this week and didn't want to take any chances having to cancel them because of practice.

Since you have evidence #23 was recruited you need to turn it in to the TSSAA. I look forward to seeing the what happens when you submit your proof.

Seems like East Nashville has become a fixture in this round of the playoffs. Dburg went to Nashville 2 years ago and played a very competitive game but came up short. How will this one go?  Who are the playmakers to watch for East??  And most importantly… have they done something about the yellow box burgers in the concession stand???(I still have nightmares about those)

Congrats to the tomcats on the victory.  This team has grown a ton this season.

Me saying that had nothing to do with whether or not they should or shouldn’t be in 2A. It had to do with him insinuating they were purposely reporting false numbers. They have committed no wrong doing. It says something about one’s character to accuse someone with absolutely zero proof.

Alcoa 38 E Nash 8  alcoa 38-dyersburg 14. Alcoa 35 Giles 21 Alcoa 38 Covington 17 Alcoa 40 GP 17. Somebody has too step up and play perfect game with a couple turnover to beat the F5. I think Giles takes out Meigs but dyersburg/Covington who knows.

2A is a blood bath this year in the West. 

Last year I went to a Humboldt game with my buddy PeabodyPride. I happened to be Humboldts homecoming game. The problems that Humboldt is experiencing goes much deeper than kids or coaches. It is an entire system problem. There were several groups tailgating prior to the game as they had invited past graduating classes back to be recognized at halftime. The people tailgating were smoking weed in the parking lot and drinking. These same people came into the game and acted silly. No administration or school personnel to stop it. I was in line at the concession stand with Pride and people acted straight up ignorant. These were the same people that are influencing the students at that school. And no one in the school system is apparently willing to stop this mess. Gotta fix the problem at home and at the head of the schools or the coach and players will have zero chance.

I agree. I must admit I didn’t buy the Southwind hype. After seeing Munford go 11-0 last year and then getting bounced with ease in the 2nd round I thought Southwind would do the same. They handled Beech last night. Just like they have done everyone else they have played this year.
