That is the part that looks unfair. I do not know what allegedly happened but I do know that he must be guilty until proven innocent. It seems that someone had an agenda and has now got their agenda and voice heard. I am totally for taking care of our children but have a real problem with people who do not know the difference between discipline and abuse and also people whose children never do anything wrong. I hate to see this happen. I don't know Coach Fulkerson but do remember him from years ago when he coached at Sequatchie County and they came down and played against Smith County in the play-offs. He was running the wishbone back then and was very physical. It seems like those types of coaches are becoming dinosaurs and the touchy feely type are taking over. Wish him and Karns the very best and only hope that the people who do things like take a coach out during the season realize that they are effecting many people to simply make a few happy. I was just looking at the scores in the state and saw where Cumberland County had not scored this season and has already played 3 games. There were only 4 other teams who had not scored and one of those was Red Boiling Springs. I have some interest because we used to go to Wal-mart there (have to stop that) and can not believe what has happened in Crossville. I can remember the days of Curt Watson and many of his teammates who ruled the upper cumberland. What would it take to get back to that

I have seen Taft a few times over the last couple of years and the people who are getting on this board and really bashing them and their coaches have shown that you are classless. Yes, these young men are criminals and their coaches are probably guards but that doesn't give you the right to say some of the things you say. Scott County will win big considering what Cannon did to Taft but truthfully that is nothing to be proud of especially considering the caliber of competition. your 2nd team could beat them by 21

I hate to say that I was wrong, but I had Bledsoe picked to finish 2nd in their region and it still could happen. However, they apparently have looked pretty sloppy the last couple of weeks and the team that I though would be really strong defensively has given up alot of points. My pick this week though is the Warriors to win big! With the talent that they have I think they should really get it started back in the right direction. It seems that if the o-line will continue to work hard then Watkins can have a really big game for bledsoe. Also, the experience on the coaching staff is going to start showing soon and keep bledsoe from getting in a deeper hole. Again, my pick is the coach has the boys fired up and they really come out and make a statement

ftblfan, what is your tie to the team? you don't have to answer but I was just wondering if south-doyle had ever done much winning? You seem to be from the area and are very passionate about the team. I hope things work out for you. I know how frustrating it is to watch people who don't care tear apart something that you care so deeply about.

thanks for that insight, was that the group that played in the region over here? i thought they were more talented than some of the other teams that i saw bledsoe have but didn't play as physical

Seems to me that Bledsoe football has hit the bottom. The people who are on here bashing the coach, should be ashamed. The players and staff members that get on here and right stuff about one of their own should be relieved of their duties. The people who sit in the stands and talk bad about the coach should try and find out what the current coach needs and try and make it happen. Maybe there needs to be more administrative support or the athletic director should work harder to make the coach successful.

thanks for that info... meyers was a great back but the defense on that team was pretty good, they shut us out at our place and i can remember talking with several of my friends after the game and the running back (now coach) said that he didn't think he had ever been hit that hard or by that many people. Would you say that the 83 team was the best that ever played there? What was your connection with them, just wondering, like i have said before I love to talk about the good old days

Who were some of the players on that team? Someone told me that one of the coaches on the staff was there during the good years of bledsoe county football. is that true

seems like bledsoe is heading in the wrong direction fast. i thought they looked disorganized friday but someone made a comment that the offense was complex. complex is not exactly what i would call it but york does have a plan. hopefully the rest of our region will feel the same as bledsoe did. as far as bledsoe's program it seems that the administration should get moving and do something to either help the football team and its coaches or move out of the way and let the coach get some people who can and want to help. sad to see such a tradition going down but i'm glad we won

That was a good team, we beat them 14-13 at home but they got us pretty good in the play-offs. Who was the coach of that team? They were really physical but can't remember much about their offense. I do really remember the team in 85 or 86 that beat us again in the play-offs. Not any more though, dragons roar

from the outside looking in the problem, from what i hear at the wal-mart on my weekly trip, is that no administrative support especially the highest level, no experience in the coaching staff, let a good coach leave, and poor building level administration. Seems that cumberland county and stone need to re-think what is going on in the fastest growing county in the state

i was really worried about the dragons and our region going into this game but it looks like the valley is weaker than i had thought. bledsoe didn't seem to have any answers for york and despite york being much improved it seems like bledsoe really is not improved from last year. i had really picked bledsoe to finish 2nd in the region due to the experience on the coaching staff

I see Cannon County moving up in the region. After a good win against Taft Friday they will have all the confidence they need

bledsoe in a wash!! they are due for a breakout year under a really strong group of players, coaching is a + and watson is a good back, he should carry the ball 20-25 times friday

got to come down to the yard sale and while wife spent all my money got to go over and see scrimmage. First, what a beautiful place Sequatchie has, first time been there in a long time. I thought they looked weak and wouldn't think that will do too good in that area. Cannon, though was very impressive and thought they did a great job with their offense and defense. Coach very innovative and it looked like he was running a 3-3 defense? He must have stepped out of the traditional box but it looked great. Good defense?

sad situation for all involved but..... would these problems have been avoided if at some point someone had told this apparently talented athlete that he was going to play the hand he was dealt instead of jumping from school to school and ending up at Powell. Apparently Powell cares more about winning than having character and class and let him get away with way too much

Talking with our coaches they are very upset over the "interpretation" of the rule. I know that they have tried to be models for their kids and my children to follow and not just talk a good game and then sidestep around the rules. It is a sad day in athletics when one of the most well respected Christian coaches looks for a loophole to use or maybe instead to jump through

cannon county will be a force in their region! They will get a good win early against Taft and then I think with only a few exceptions have a good year. Their coach is well thought of because of his defensive knowledge

looking at the scores from last year Taft is a funny team, beat a good cannon count team really bad and then barely beat Jackson County.
